    Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich
    Joanne S.

Got to try out the newest Honey Pepper Pimento chicken sandwich on the day they were giving them out complimentary. It's a very tasty sandwich w a kick. It's a sandwich that you either like it or you don't. I enjoyed it and the service was right on and very nice even though it was complimentary. I actually spread the word w friends so they can share the love as well.

Generally I don't give chain restaurants more than a four star rating unless they are well above and beyond what you'd get at any other location. That being said this location does an outstanding job for the volume they serve and the quality is on-par with what I've come to expect from Chick-fil-A. It's in a bit of an awkward location on the southern side of downtown Glastonbury. As with a lot of the buildings there you might miss it if you weren't looking for it. It's a nice location with some outdoor seating available and a decent sized dining room. Overall the service is good and the food is as tasty as any other location I've visited. The parking and drive-thru are kind of strangely set up and as you can imagine with Chick-fil-A there can be a LONG line there. Thankfully they keep it moving pretty well from what I've seen, but if you're hoping to just grab something quickly you might want to plan ahead and try to beat the crowd or better yet, order ahead online and pick it up inside the store. Other than the odd parking configuration this is a restaurant I've had no problems with and the food is always delicious.

I will be the first one to admit that as Chick-fil-A started to infiltrate Connecticut I did not get on the #eatmorechicken train. I could not understand the fascination with this brand that had people standing outside or even camping outside of these stores on their grand opening. However almost every person I spoke to raved about all things Chick-fil-A. From the chicken to the fries to the overall experience, I was led to believe thay even though it was still fast causal, it was it was elevated fast casual. So with gift card in hand and a rumbling tummy, I the husband and I headed to their recently opened Glastonbury location to #eatmorechicken. We arrived at 3pm and the place was still hopping. After a piruse of the menu (and to my deep delight spotting that they had diet Dr. Pepper on tap) we placed our order of some Grilled Nuggets, Diet Dr Pepper and Waffle Fries. I was surprised at how engaged the cashier was and loved that we got to choose our sauce options and the fact we were told they would bring the meal out to us when ready. Of the variety of sauce options I chose the standard Chick-fil-A sauce and honey mustard. Not a fan of calorie counts on the menu but I guess that is the thing to do. We headed to find seats and as soon as I got my utensils our meal was brought to us and it was time to dig in. I admit the chicken was juicy and hot and really delicious especially when dipped into my sauce options. Diet Dr pepper was on point but the fries that everyone raves about were just OK. Maybe we got a bad batch but they were not really flavorful and crispy. And for the cost of the meal I thougjt they could have stuck a few more fries in the container. I also wished they had re fills available for my soda as I finished it too quickly. The restaurant was super clean and I loved they had outdoor seating and a small play area for kids. However the meal hit the spot and fueled us for the rest of the days activities. So it was good but not awesome. I'll try it again in a pinch.

    Chicken mini

Ordered chicken minis and was served this. Cup for size reference. Down south they're much bigger, everything's bigger in the south. Everything.

    That is the question.. :)

I've been meaning to update this review, it's so over due. My initial expectations were exceeded again! I was happy to find out the hype is true. I feel Chick-fil-a presents great standards when it comes to fast food. I'm not sure if it's just me but I think every time I go the staff appear to be genuinely happy working there. I've found when ordering their extremely polite and always friendly! I recall during the last visit we were told a 'gift' was included. Inside our bag was a neatly sealed little white envelope for a free sweet treat with a kind message. It was too cute so naturally we ordered milkshakes :) I also discovered when cleaning my inbox there were multiple messages from the operator gifting additional free sandwiches and chicken minis. I really like the character behind Chick-fil-a, so much that I don't even mind when they close on Sundays lol. I'm certain I'll be making another trip there soon!

    Egg White Grill Chicken

I ate here for breakfast and I was very pleased on the selection of breakfast available. They have items to keto, paleo, macro friendly breakfast items. I ordered egg white grill chicken sandwich meal. I substituted the hash browns for a fruit cup which was a $2 increase. Which is wild! BUT eating well on the go isn't cheap. The food came out hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and tasted delicious and the coffee was good too. Honestly, for a fast food place this is where I would go. It's a healthier option than Macdonalds and Dunkin.

I decided to get the dry rub of Nashville hot and sweet dry rub. If I had to pick which one is better it's def the sweet dry rub! Nashville hot has a kick to it, it wasn't bad at all. This time around the dry rub was not salty. I think management read what I wrote and modify the amount of seasoning onto the chicken. Someone also told me to try the garlic parm sauce and I'm glad I did. I typically don't crave garlic parm, but this was delicious! I was wow'd by it. Side sauces I got the typical ranch, Buffalo, mango habanero, and open Pitt. Open Pitt was a bbq mix tang sauce that I enjoyed. Mango habanero isn't as spicy as bww but still good to try. The fries are crispy and hot! I don't know what oil they used, but even coming home it was still crispy to eat and not soggy at all! Def do not skip the French fries, so gooood!! We walked into a restaurant that stays consistently busy, with a lively atmosphere that reflects its popularity. Even during peak hours, the operation feels organized and the staff keeps the line moving efficiently. The dining room is casual and functional, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the surroundings. The chicken fingers were the highlight of our meal. They arrived hot, juicy, and freshly fried with a crisp coating that held up well without feeling overly greasy. The chicken itself is seasoned mildly, but the Cane's Sauce adds most of the flavor and is clearly designed to be part of the experience. We appreciated the balance of the meal, with the crinkle-cut fries and Texas toast pairing well with the chicken and rounding out the plate. The portions felt generous for the price, and the meal came together as a straightforward, satisfying combination that left us full without feeling weighed down. One thing that stood out was how busy the restaurant remained throughout our visit. Despite the steady crowds, the staff kept the line moving efficiently and orders came out relatively quickly. The dining room had a lively energy, and the team managed the flow without making the experience feel rushed. Seating filled up quickly during peak times, but the turnover was fast enough that we did not wait long for a table. The drive-thru line also moved at a steady pace, reflecting the efficiency of the operation. The menu does not offer much variety, so the appeal really depends on how much you enjoy chicken fingers. For us, the quality of the chicken and the overall value made the experience enjoyable, even if the food itself is fairly straightforward. Raising Cane's may not have the most diverse menu in fast food, but it delivers a reliable meal built around doing one thing well. I ordered in person, and I have to say the service was quick! Within about seven minutes, my food was ready. As soon as you walk in, you can see the menu and even see the kitchen area, which I always appreciate because you can get a feel for how your food is being prepared. The employee who greeted me was very friendly and welcoming. You can also order online. I ordered the seasoned rice, shrimp, mac & cheese, and collard greens bowl. First impression... the bowl looked beautiful and was put together very nicely. Everything looked fresh and appetizing. The shrimp was sautéed in a garlic sauce and had great flavor. The mac & cheese was definitely a highlight, very cheesy! When I put my fork into it, the cheese stretched and expanded the way you hope a good mac & cheese will. The collard greens were good, although I'll be honest, I've had better. They still complemented the bowl and added that classic soul food feel. At first glance, I thought, "Is this going to be enough?" But after eating it, I was completely satisfied and full. The portion was actually just right. The price was reasonable and within the range of what many restaurants are charging today. What makes this place stand out to me is that it tastes homemade and I love fresh food made with care. My only suggestion: PLEASE consider adding cornbread to the menu (hopefully soon ). A piece of cornbread would complete this bowl meal perfectly! Overall, I would definitely recommend Soul Bowl's. Great flavors, quick service, friendly staff, and that homemade comfort-food feeling. I'm already curious to try more from their menu! What should I try next?
