Coming from California to visit we stopped at this location on our way to the beach. We typically do drive thru but because we rented a vehicle we chose to dine in for breakfast. This has been the best customer service we ever experienced at McDonald's. The staff were extremely friendly to us more so the Assistant General Manager who took our order. I forgot her name but she took pride in her work, assisted us with a smile and went above and beyond. The ambiance of the staff was fun and energetic making the place seem like a great place to work. Man McDonalds brainwashes us from when we are little. After church my 3 year old saw the arches and was like "fries?" in his super cute little voice... how could I say no?!?! Its a convenient location right there across from Costco and in the same parking lot as Home Depot. Perfect for an after-church snack so sometimes the line gets a little long after service. Just came from this McDonald's and Franne (The Mgr) took care of me despite being overwhelmingly busy. I was in the drive through and my fries were cold. I went back in and asked for another order to replace it and she took care of it right away. Thanks Franne, that was awesome! Sometimes, people overlook circumstances and only care about their own conveniences and disregard what a hectic situation employees of a company may be having. McDonald's must track time vehicles spend in the drive through? I order breakfast #1 with fruit punch. Nothing unusual. Cashier was nice. Next window as I pulled up, they were already discussing having me park in the marked "drive through" stalls. I soon realized all 6 stalls were full with cars waiting. One of two McDonald's in Kapolei. This food establishment is located near Outback Steakhouse and Home Depot. There's outside seating as well as indoor seating for the customers. The fast food joint has sliding doors to enter the restaurant. One located in the front near the outside seating and another sliding door located on the side facing Outback Steakhouse. The restrooms are located on the right hand side as a person enters from the side of the building. The few times that I have used the restroom it was semi clean and there's only two stalls. The few times that I did order food...the transaction was really fast. I didn't have to wait as long as other individuals. I need to remember to stop by at this McDonald's location for some cheap ice cream cones (I wonder if they still get that promotion?). read more

I haven't dined in this McDonald's in a long time. I normally do drivethru. This is my first time dining in since they renovated. We got to use the touch screen order process for the first time and it was pretty easy. My 9 year old daughter was faster at finding things on the menu than me. At the end of the order we entered a locator number, took the number, paid at the kiosk and sat down. Within 2 minutes our food was brought to our table! Came here on a Saturday night past 10pm. Expected the drive-thru to be fast since it was late & only a couple cars before us. It took 15 maybe 20 minutes to get our order. Line was barely moving. Super clean and modern location with plenty of seating. I'm guessing it's relatively new, based on the surrounding area that also appears to be new construction. The staff definitely has that "aloha" spirit, as the cashier helped point out the more unique items to Hawaii, such as the haupia (coconut) pie, kona iced coffee, etc. We finally tried the saimin, which was pretty decent at only $4. It reminded me of a seaweed soup with some noodles in it, plus fish cakes and egg strips. Definitely a great place to make a quick stop! How can you ever go wrong with McD's?! read more

I submitted a mobile order at 1:01. We sat in stall 4 for about 15-20 minutes then the app said the order was picked up. Nope not by us. So we went inside. This McDonald's is right across the street from Costco. The drive thru was a little difficult to get to when coming from the driveway with the traffic light. You have to go around the parking lot to get to the entrance of the drive thru. Other than that, the drive thru has 2 lanes to speed up the process. However, you may have to wait to get to the window as the far right lane can keep going. Overall, this location is okay and convenient. read more

A couple of quarter pounders with cheese, fries and a soft drink is straightforward, at least you would think so. Where this establishment fell short for us was promptness and cleanliness. You could chalk up the latter issue to location, what with being proximate to The Bus stop frequented by many with substance abuse issues who utilize this McDonald's as a rest stop.
