I'm a junk food junkie, so I know when one MCD is worse than another and I'm around this area a lot.This spot by far is the worst. I'd say 3 out of 5 times I've ordered, they've given me the wrong food or forgot food or charged me for the food of the car in front of me or behind me. Twice when I ordered a fruit parfait and the other time a McFlurry, they didn't have it.... but took 5-10 mins to tell me. I just kept seeing employees (including people in management uniform) talking and laughing with eachother and walking around aimlessly, even with a long line inside. THEN the employee, after 5-10 mins of chatting & with a line of cars behind, says "Oh sorry, we don't have it." This happened twice in the same week. ...And McDonalds employees were on strike in L.A. this week demanding to be paid $15/hr??? Sorry, maybe the managment, but folks go to college IN HOPES that they could make $15/hr or more starting. Worst service ever! I am going to speak to corporate because not only do they have horrible staff they are not hygienic at all! I seen employees touching products with no gloves. I am offended and disgusted with the service here! Even after speaking to management and their store manager, nothing has been done to fix their service. Was with a friend getting a drink and asked for unsweetened tea, and was given sweeten. After asking nicely to change it we were given horrible attitude to double check the drink. Lo and behold it was sweet tea. After having it changed no apology was given and she almost threw the drink at us. Came to this location after finding out that the Eagle Rock location is still only taking cash . This franchise is equally annoying with its super slow cashiers and long lines that tend to stay long due to the horrible employees. After ordering my food for the second time because apparently the ladies at the window didn't understand me, I found myself getting another surprise at home. They apparently forgot to put in one of my sausage mcmuffins and both of my hash browns. Thanks a lot McDonald's I try to get breakfast and instead I get crappy service ! Let me just say first off that the McDonald's on central claims to be 24/7 but when we showed up at 1230 they were closed. So we came here with a bunch of other cars that also got duped and despite being short staffed they were polite, told us there would be a delay, said please and thank you, and overall treated us really well. I have been going here for awhile in the mornings for breakfast which i have no complaints on but i went tonight and ordered the chicken tenders and they asked me to park on their drive thru spot. 10 minutes passed and i had nothing so i went inside and asked for my money back. No apology or anything. I understand that possibly the new "premium" chicken takes more time but if that is the case maybe they should forewarn you? I've been coming to this location for almost 10 years. And I used to live footsteps away, so I'm not kidding when I say I've been here A LOT. I have always been a fan of the drive-through. They are quick and always pretty accurate with my order. No complaints. But just recently, I came here with my two kids to let them run out some energy in the play area, and I was beyond impressed! The indoor area has had a very nice facelift, and the play area is designed perfectly! All of the seating is placed around the play area, so you can get a pretty good view of your kids from anywhere you sit. The play area is lit up enough that you can see your kids while they play, but not so bright that it feels awkward to play or eat. Also, I saw kids of all ages (from 1-10 years old) equally enjoying themselves. Definitely impressed! We will certainly be back to play (and eat!) again! read more

The play area smells so bad, like stinky socks... which is understandable because children have to take off their shoes. But the maintenance in the play area is embarrassing. I'm going to preface this by stating that my first job at 17 was at a McDonald's, so I understand the intricacies of the situation they face everyday. That being said, I have had several occasions where my order has been wrong or items have been missing. I don't mind the wait time as other people do, because if you're going to go to a fast food restaurant during rush hour, you have to expect a certain amount of wait. But this location needs corporate's attention. When I used to work at McDonald's we were reprimanded for inaccuracies. It doesn't seem to be the case here at this one or they keep hiring sub-par workers (and FYI, just because it's a fast food joint doesn't mean ALL of the workers are sub-par). Like they teach in supply chain management, your weakest link is the source of all your problems. So corporate, it's time to critically evaluate and start getting better results from your staff at this location. By far, the WORST experience at a McDonald's...EVER! My visit started with a 10 minute wait, with one cashier. While the line grew, and that particular cashier went to lunch, the managers on duty did nothing and had their backs to us. When they FINALLY decided to place a cashier to take our orders (about 5 minutes later), the wait didn't get any better. At one point, a manager came to help take orders. That manager only took ONE order (I believe her name was Anna M.) before heading to the back to do god knows what. I wasn't the only customer who was appalled and disgusted with this service. Today (3/5/14) is Ash Wednesday, you would assume that during the lunch time rush and on a day with religious significance, the managers would do all they could to make sure their clients had a pleasant experience. When another customer mentioned their long wait time, the manager (Ivania R.,who still refused to turn around and help) laughed and made a snide remark about "our long wait". If Ivania would have bothered to turn around and SEE the long line filled with unhappy and frustrated customers, maybe she would have understood our frustration. read more

James was very attentive and helpful to customers. Yolanda the manager was different. She lacks customer service skills. I must say the restaurant was not being maintained properly in terms of neatness. It smelled funny in there. Not a very inviting place to eat in. While I was writing this comment, a customer was complaining with the manager for lying about the pot of coffee being fresh. Claimed pot was fresh but it was obviously been there for a while. Management is responsive and is tentative to customers needs. I've always had good experiences here; especially with an extensive play gym for children my nephew loves coming here. The one and only time I had a complaint about the cleanliness - never witnessed it again. I moved to Glendale three years ago and come here every day for my large coffee which only costs $1.52! This location is SUPER busy, the ice cream machine always breaks at the most inconvenient times, they don't always have the seasonal goodies like pumpkin spice syrup and they always run out of chicken tenders........it ain't perfect. The reason I always come to this store is because of the employees. This McDonald's deserves 0 stars. They have no customer service and they have messed up my order several times. I usually put the order through on the mobile app because I customize the order. I ordered a hamburger with ketchup and lettuce, which I had to pay extra for. What I got was a plain cheeseburger. How do you mess that up? When I called to complain, the manager, Adrian, just apologized and offered to replace my order. I told him that I do not want free food, just my order correct. They routinely do not customize as ordered, the food is either very messy or not closed properly or forget an item. This is one McDonald's that I will be avoiding from now on. read more

I come to this particular McDonald's frequently because I live within 2 blocks of it. I'm going to start driving to the other ones which are several miles further because this place has become complete crap. I'm mostly commenting on the drive thru experience. - Double drive thru lanes always result in people being served out of order. - Drive thru person never understands the words I speak the first time regardless of how slowly and clearly I enunciate my order. - Drive thru takes twice as long as other McDonald's and other fast food - 50/50 chance your fries are old - 100% chance the ice in your drink have mostly melted by the time you get them - At least one thing in the order is ALWAYS wrong. I've started to make a checklist of commonly missing things: ketchup, napkins, straw, sauces, extra sides, fries, drink. Moral of the story: if you have the time to drive the extra 3 miles, go somewhere else, if not, check your entire bag before driving away from the window even one inch, don't be pressured to drive off because they push the bag at you and say 'Goodbye, thank you!'. read more

First time shame on you, second time shame on me. I have been here multiple times, and it's been decent. The last two times, however, are quite different. I waited 10 minutes for a cup of coffee, and after no one caring that the lady in front of us was taking a long time and was not making up her mind between a large sweet tea or a soda, I ended up walking out with my boyfriend and giving up. Last night, around 1130, I was craving a burger and a sweet tea, so I drive up, no, I don't want to try a value meal; place my order. . . Cricket cricket. So the car in the other lane pulled up and placed their order and continued to the next window. I sat there as another car went through, then onto the next window. I tried to call their attention several times but got no reply. I didn't know if she didn't get the order or if she forgot to tell me my total. By now there is an awkward line in front of and behind me. I ended up leaving instead of dealing with the lady at the window. It's a shame, I've been coming here to get my large coffee with 3 cream and 5 sugar; McDonalds is my favorite coffee.
