I came here yesterday for a small meal after a long trip geocaching with my friend. The staff were off in their own little world telling stories over by the drive through window. The electronic ordering system is intimidating trying to figure it out. Anyway, we stood there waiting for about 5 minutes for someone to finally come and help us out. My order came out wrong and when I went to go to the soda machine, there were ants crawling everywhere. So, I went back and waited another three minutes watching them all chit chat about whatever so I can try and tell the guy there were ants everywhere. The guy came and looked and said he'd come back and wipe it up. He did, but he did not offer to give me a new cup of soda from the drive through soda machine. I cam back to the soda machine to get soda and ants were EVERYWHERE all over the machine and I just can't grasp why the man wouldn't put an out of order sign up. So, I didn't drink any soda because that's just nasty... It was TERRIBLE SERVICE! Everyone needs to be trained to do their job and not mingle with coworkers! FURIOUS!!! read more

how hard is it to double check your orders? had ordered 20 pc chicken nugget as received only 10. I went through the drive thru and i had to go thru yet again to let them know they missed my other 10. waitstaff also needs to be able to work things out when this stuff happens with the customer, not blame them or be rude about it. We decided to stop in because I saw that they were serving the Gilroy Garlic Fries and the boyfriend wanted some coffee. We were staying in the motel across the street and figured a quick walk over there wouldn't hurt. The guy who took our order was incredibly nice and friendly, but that was probably the only plus and the only reason they're not getting a single star review. The crew was standing around doing quite a bit of talking. Not work related talking of course. How do I know? I could clearly hear it while we were eating. I could list off ten things they could have been doing besides talking. The most important and obvious one? The trash. There was trash everywhere. Every bin was full and the bin by the door had overflowed and milkshake or something similar was spilling onto the floor. Gross. Tables were dirty and the floor was in massive need of a sweep and mop. We quickly ate the fries (which were soggy and barely warm) and got the heck out of there. The lady who took our order and helped us at the window was horrible. We ordered over $50 worth of breakfast for our group - which is insane for some Sausage Egg McMuffins. We were missing 4 items. McDonald's is a fast-food restaurant; it's not a destination dining experience. The food is essentially identical here in Fort Bragg to all other McDonald's restaurants in the USA. That's part of the point. You know you can always get a Quarter Pounder Deluxe & it'll be the same whether you're eating it in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Fairbanks, AK, or Fort Bragg, CA. I don't understand all the people who have panned the food here & called it disgusting. Most of the menu may be bad for my waistline, but it's highly edible. Some of it is even delicious. Just don't eat the fries when they're cold. They're not good when they're cold. But I've known that for decades. No new information here. I like my local McDonald's. I have low expectations for McDonald's to begin with, but we had a few mistakes happen on two different occasions. 1st visit, we were handed two milks when we only ordered one, then they asked for the milk back after it had been sitting in our car (yes, our mistake, we should have sent the first back). 2nd visit, no ice cream cones! Just a bummer more than anything. And we ordered a nugget happy meal, with a plain hamburger. Hamburger was in the happy meal and no chicken nuggets. read more

Went to McDonald's for a BigMac Fix. Boy the Female manager at about 3pm watched as I stood at counter for a good 5-8 minutes and 4 employees including a manager standing around. When she came to the register she was rude not to friendly. They just had a remodel they need remodel the employees. I know it's not a 5 start restaurant but geeze you don't like your job quit. No no no! I love McDonalds. It's my go-to at least once every other week. It's cheap, it's good, and it's satisfying. So, on this road trip, my husband and I figured we could get some mcds until we did more research on other food in Fort Bragg. Everything tasted different. It was stale-like food. The Big Mac's lettuce tasted as if it were expired/ not fresh. I didn't say anything but simply stopped eating it. My husband took a bite and immediately told me the lettuce was no longer fresh! That's when I realized it wasn't just me. The fries were way too hard and chewy- not crisp and soft. The chicken nuggets, which we love and always finish, we stopped eating after we tried ONE. Extremely disappointed and hoping to find some appetizing for here in Fort Bragg that is worth it. read more

So I go to McDonald's for a cup of coffee and a frape she hands me the drinks in a drink holder after I tell her I don't want one so when I go to take them out to put in my cup holders the frapes lid comes off because it wasn't at all locked on and the drink goes all over my seat and on the side. Horrible customer service!!! I don't really go to MD often, but when I do, I always get chicken nuggets and a mc flurry with fudge. It's one of my guilty pleasures... Anyways, when I started to eat the McFlurry, I noticed that it didn't have any fudge. I took the McFlurry back to Heather, and she told me there was fudge in it. She said it was mixed in. Not sure what's going on here. Maybe good help is hard to find? The service is slow, the restaurant looks dirty, and the employees seem to lack supervision. You can almost bet that if you get a "to go" order either at the drive-thru or by going inside, you'll be missing something you paid for. Be sure to check the bag before you leave! There's a lot of social activity between the employees and apparent friends of theirs in the evening, and the chatter and noise can be irritating (and I mean BY THE EMPLOYEES & THEIR FRIENDS - not the other diners). Bf and I were driving in between Mendocino and Fort Bragg when hunger striked and I was craving a Filet-O-Fish when we spotted a Mick D's. It's sinful but after all, it's been loooooong time and I do deserve one taste. We swung into the parking lot heading towards the Drive-In however, there were like 10 cars in line hence we parked and I ran in instead. Stood in line and got my Fish. However when I opened the box, the sandwich was all messed up and the buns were off to one side and the tartar sauce was oozing out a lil on the sides. Dear General Manager, Please take a Business Management class ... You have expressed such a large volume of Unprofessional Service! I cannot ever seem to go through this drive thru and get good service. My orders are always messed up. Wait, let me adjust this. When Franny, who has since quit, was Manager here, orders and customer service were satisfactory. We don't care for eating inside because it is never clean enough for our preference. The staff at the drive thru window has more than expressed that they don't care, even verbally saying so. Why are you working in customer service if you don't genuinely care for helping people with orders? I would STRONGLY encourage the General Manager here now, at this time of post ( 2/15/2018) to take a Business Management class. She does not know what she is doing. When a customer addresses to the manager that one of her employees is having rude behavioral issues with customers, you should not defend the staff and tell your customer, "No she's not." When matters of apparent disgruntled employee conduct was addressed to Kyle, he promptly handled the situation in a very professional manner. He always does! I would really like to see Kyle handle more - Management vs Employee relations and build better business service for our local customers here on the Mendocino Coast. My kids have shown a negative feeling about this McDonalds lately. Their happy meals have not been so happy recently. The staff here even yelled at my husband while my daughter was in the car.
