We all know McD's food, but like it or not, the service here is superb! I went through the drive through and both the girl (yes, she's young) that took my money and the young man that handed me the food were so amazingly pleasant! They completely made my day! I even had to call in to their coporate headquarters to give them kudos. Smiling, friendly, super fast (duh) and just all around fantastic. Way to go!! read more

Holy terrible experience! We stopped so the kids could play... but they were 'just getting ready to clean the play area' 45min later, they had still not even started cleaning the play area. When we finally left, I tried to pop into the restroom. Only, I found the woman who was 'just getting ready to clean the play area' hanging out in the stall, I kid you not 'just getting ready to change the toilet paper'. After I had stood in the bathroom waiting for 7min of her 'changing the toilet paper,' I finally left. I won't even get into the challenges with ordering. This place should be shut down or at least management changed. read more

Avoid McDonalds unless you like to listen to FOX News. I asked that TV channel be changed from FOX news to an apolitical channel. I find FOX News objectionable, and I find being forced to listen to FOX News while I eat even more objectionable. I was told that manager on duty is not able to change TV channels by order of senior management. It appears that the McDonald's franchise endorses the political perspective of FOX News. read more

Poor service for a Mac Donald's . The customer does not come first. The employees personal agendas come first. Bad customer relations.

We all know what to expect when we stop at McDonalds, but I feel the need to write a review and share my experience. I got a number 7 (chicken McNugget meal) and my fiancé got a number 1 (Big Mac meal). Both of our fries were soggy, my McNuggets were soggy AND cold, and the 3 chocolate chip cookies we got to split for desert were so hard (and cold) we threw 2 of the 3 away. Not to mention while we ordered there were enough flies flying around for me to think "Hmm... There's a lot of flies in here." I did give them 2 stars instead of 1 because their bathrooms were clean, service was quick and there were no complaints on the Big Mac sandwich. Save yourself from a disappointing meal and go to the Wendy's across the street. read more

I don't know about the other reviews but the service i got was HORRIBLE. I know it is McDonald so I don't expect the best service. However when I told the girl that she forgot to give me my salad, she looked at me like WTF. I want my salad that I paid for. Also the wrap that my mother ordered had stuff spewing out. I've been to this McDonalds twice. Both times we stopped at this location while on a long road trip with two preschoolers. On BOTH occasions the service was PHENOMENAL. So much so that I'm actually writing a review for McDonald's. :/ The place is super clean, and my kids could play all day on the huge play-tube-slide thing. We have been local resident's of the Fruita area for many years and I must say over the last 8 years, the service and food is horrible. If you can get a simple order handed to you without a mistake, your one of the lucky ones. Also, the work area is always dirty and food that has fallen on the floor just seems to stay there and it looks like no one attempts to clean it up. Several times the managers and employees stand around talking and laughing and doing nothing. I can't tell you how many time every week for months, I take my 87 year old mother to McDonald's only because she wants to eat there. Every single time our simple order is wrong, i.e.: Drive-up, order 1 regular hamburger Onions Only and 1 regular hamburger with everything including extra onions. We also order drinks and sometimes fries. Can you guess what we get instead of what we ordered...How ever many ways are there to make your hamburger different that what we ordered, is amazing! They can't even get it right and to add insult to injury when you bring this to the attention of a manager, one replied "what do you want me to do about it"! I wanted to say what do you think, take this back and correct the order. That seemed like it was too much to ask for. And it's not just the simple hamburger order this happens several times during the month. Case-in-point. Yesterday, we ordered ice cream and two bags of ice. I stated that I would get the bags of ice when we were ready to leave. Now, what would any somewhat intelligent person surmise this to mean. Eat ice cream here and pick up bags of ice after we eat so the ice doesn't melt during that time. Wrong! I was left standing at the counter waiting for the ice cream while he walked off and didn't seem like he was coming back! A manager happened to see me standing there and asked the employee if I was waiting on something. He acted dumb founded so she told him I was waiting for the ice cream. No apology, nothing but a blank look! Many times the food isn't even warm and has been sitting for some time. You return the item, explain the problem and even the managers can't comprehend the simplest order, so you have to explain it maybe one or two more times to them. And then you feel like you had done something wrong! By the way, where does the money come from to pay for all the store's expenses...The public (customer). We get no respect. If it weren't for my mother I would avoid McDonald's completely, even the promotions wouldn't get me there. I would never return unless some drastic change in management and employees were implemented. read more

This is a well managed Mcdonalds, usually clean, good service and friendly workers. Generally a very disciplined crew on any given shift. Cute girls work the drive up windows with pretty smiles, two thumbs up! Woohoo as good as McDonalds Gets! read more

I've had so many bad experiencs at this location that I will NEVER go back to McDonalds again. Sunday's experience was the last straw. I went to this restaurant this a.m. at 10:35 for breakfast. It was total chaos in the restaurant and behind the counter--everyone behind the counter seemed frantic. I waited for 20 minutes and people that were coming into the restaurant had their orders taken before me. Finally, at 10:55 I got someone to take my order, and she told me that breakfast was now over (they were starting to change the menu boards accordingly). I told the girl behind the counter that it wasn't even 11:00 and she said that she didn't make the rules. I did order one other item to go for someone at home, one hamburger and the time on the receipt confirmed a time of 10:57! So if breakfast was until 11:00, why couldn't I get it? Then, for this one burger I waited 20 more minutes. I went across the street to Wendy's and gave them my business. I will never go to another McDonalds again. On the day before this, I also waited 20 minutes for 2 hamburgers. This place should be shut down. read more

last week i went through te drive up and the girl who took the order didnt offer any new menu itemss like typical, she was not pleasent and didn't sound like she wanted to be there. i get to the 1st window to pay and she just looks at me with her hand out. i'm not sure about you but i like to be told again of my total face to face so that everything is double checked. she said nothing, then just hand me the receipt and card back. not a thanks or anything. im hot by this point. pull to the next window for my drink and food and this girl was 100% better than the previous girl. she smiled, she sadi thank you she reitterated the drink. i was so happy to have a happy human that i told her thank you for being nice and that the other girl was rude and just aweful!. she said she would say something. we'll see. read more

This is by far one of the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. I've been here a couple of times when I'm hungry, but it's always a last option. The service is awful and I have received an incorrect order far too many times. They keep the place moderately clean, but it's nothing special. It certainly could be cleaner. Some of the people that work there are great people, but I feel as if some of the staff doesn't know what they're doing. It's great to go here for something simple such as a coffee or an apple pie however. read more

I live one mile from the McDonald restaurant in Fruita. I have visited many times over the past 3 years. I may never go back again. I have had more bad experiences than good. I mostly use the drive-thru to purchase my food. In addition to receiving cold food and incorrect items (sometimes even receiving someone else's order!), what happened about a month ago is the straw that broke the camel's back: There was one car placing an order in the left lane. I chose to use the right empty lane. As I pulled up to the speaker, I was met with the all too familiar "We'll be with you in a moment!" At that point, another vehicle pulled up to the now vacated speaker in the other lane and was able to immediately place their order while I still waited. When that car pulled forward to the window, I couldn't believe that another car pulled up to that speaker and was also able to place their order. In the interim, I attempted to get the attention of the worker who was working the line I was waiting in to no avail. When a third car pulled up to the speaker in the next lane and began to order, I pulled out and left, probably never to return to this McDonald's. I understand that the majority of McDonalds workers are high school kids and for many this may be there first job. I don't blame them for the poor service, but instead I believe it may be poor training, inadequate supervision, and, the overall lack of the old business axiom that "the customer comes first"! read more

I've recieved nothing but poor service on my last several visits to this establishment. Tonight was it. I will not return unless something changes. I have waited in the "can you pull forward and we'll bring out your food shortly" spot for over 15 minutes for cold fries....yes they forgot about me. I waited 30 minutes for an order, and yes I checked on it every 5 minutes.....well, apparently it was erased. My sister was yelled at by the drive-thru order taker. Tonight I dined in. We got there right at 5 pm (so before the dinner rush), it was not busy at all. Every table was dirty and the drink station was filthy. The real problem is as I was waiting for my order I watched the manager grab nuggets with her bare hands and put them in a box for a customer. She saw me watching her and decided she should then use the scooper. But as she was still standing there another employer came up right beside her and proceeded to grab nuggets with his bare hands and put them in a box for a customer. Yes....bare hands. I'm no health expert, but I'm pretty sure that's a violation and it's just gross!!!!!! read more
