    Maverick wings! YUM!
    Tristan T.

Roosters met our expectations of craving wings while in town. The flavors were great!! We also tried the chili cheese fries because of other recommendations and only the red was available but they were great too! The service could improve tremendously! The ladies working all appear busy running around but 5 ladies for 15 or so tables is a bit much for the slowwwwww appearance at your table. We waited 10+ minutes to be greeted at the only available dirty table, then had to completely empty our drinks, wait 5 minutes, then be asked if we wanted another. As someone with experience in the service industry this is unacceptable.

Raise their $'s, don't change menu $s, add pick-up sur $charges & do away w/app. 1/2 $ on Fridays. Call in order - never ready - have to wait - food portions cut down. All this to MAX $profits & screw the customer. Won't ever eat there again. Worse food in valley. *PIC of their rocky mtn. oysters - barf!

#13 traditional buffalo sauce, bone in and lemon pepper dry rub, also bone in! Deeee-licious!

It wasn't very busy for lunch time and that was totally fine! The fried pickles are done of the best we've had and the chicken wings are chefs kiss delicious! Crispy and juicy and very flavorful! We don't have a Rooster's where we live so we wanted to check it out! Staff was very friendly! Restaurant and bathroom were both clean and inviting! Would highly recommend! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Walked in and went to the bar to order . Was greeted at the bar by one of women who works there and she was nice and very quick to come ask me if I needed anything . I ordered a voodoo ranger beer and it was crisp ,tasty and cold ! Big plus ! Now time for the food ...I ordered 1. Golden burger - it should called a rock burger because that thing was just a rock . The taste to it was terrible , cheese was burnt which turned it into tough chewy cheese , and nothing about this burger was good at all . 0/10 would not recommend 2 onion string - probably the best thing out of this entire meal . Crunchy and golden perfectly . 10/10 3.bbq baked beans - definitely doesn't go along with this meal but I figured I'd give them a try cause I'm from Texas and us Texas boys love our baked bbq beans ! They were good for some Colorado baked bbq beans . 8/10 I would not come back to eat here tbh , I'm a one time type of guy ..once it's ruined for me it's tough to come back to a spot when you have a bad experience with the food itself .

We were in Grand Junction for night and we were craving for chicken wings. We searched nearby and by seeing good reviews we decided to have food at Roosters. Roosters is an amazing chicken wings restaurant with chicken wings having different sauce options, We were greeted by our server and seated on the table. She bought water plus menus for us. After exploring the menu I decided to order for drinks Dirty Hippie Beer and for dinner we ordered Chicken Wings with two different flavors and Chicken Salad. The server first bought beer for us. The beer was good and it was local beer. The wings were delicious and we loved the wing. They were perfect with correct amount of spice. The Chicken Salad was delicious with fresh ingredients. Amazing restaurant to try for beer and chicken wings. We loved it.

Enjoyed Roosters for years but last night was a disappointment. Do they not fry them anymore? Skin not crisp and broken bones.

They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! I was stuffed after a few corn and about half the curry plate. I am so happy I tried this place out! Will definitely be trying it again when I'm back in town!

I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. Come for the beers, skip the food and same yourself some dough figuratively and literally.

The Swiss melt with fries. This was the best "grilled cheese" ever. The apples and bacon jam on it was absolutely delicious.

The Elk Tartare was a new dish for me and I don't have any complaints about it, very well made. But the Cured Duck Breast is what I came for, and it did not disappoint. We both enjoyed a bottle of wine from a local Colorado outfit, a nice Pinot noir, and my wife had a burger, which is what the place is known for. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and friendly. The burger was pretty good as expected. I'm a big fan of duck so that's what I went with and going down it tasted pretty good but later than night it was clear I developed food poisoning and was up most of the night regretting my decisions. My wife and I shared the same meals and drinks throughout the day with the exception of dinner so it was evident the duck was the culprit. Unfortunate, but I'd recommend sticking with the burgers if you go.

My wife and I were passing through town for the night and just looking for somewhere near the Colorado National Monument to kill an hour. Handlebar Tap House turned out to be exactly what we needed. A lot of places claim to have a great beer selection, but end up pouring the same tired distribution kegs week after week. Not here. They run 24 rotating handles, and whoever is doing the ordering actually gives a damn about curating a balanced board. I was stoked to see they had a special local collaboration beer on tap called The Ocho. They brewed it up with the folks over at WestCo Brewing to celebrate their eighth anniversary, and it is a phenomenal, juicy IPA. The pour was absolutely spot on, complete with a perfect two-finger head that left thick lacing all the way down the glass. The hop profile was incredibly bold and fruit-forward. We were really only planning on grabbing that quick beer, but we caved and ordered the beer-battered cheese curds. I can be pretty picky about bar snacks, especially when trying to save room for a big meal later. Most of the time, fried cheese is just a heavy, greasy mess where the breading completely overwhelms the actual dairy. These were a massive surprise. The beer batter is light and super crisp, practically shattering right when you bite into it. It gives way to a perfect, hot, melty pull while somehow still keeping a bit of that authentic cheese curd squeak. We polished off the entire basket in minutes. The atmosphere hits that sweet spot between a lively local joint and a relaxed gastropub. The service was fast, which is crucial when you are watching the clock for dinner reservations, and the bartender actually knew the tap list inside and out. The whole vibe is completely unpretentious. It is just a proper pub doing exactly what it should. If our travels ever bring us back through Grand Junction, I will definitely be stopping in again.
