This placed seemed decent overall and I'll probably stop back at some point to try a non-burger option ... the chicken sandwich seemed to be popular with other people ordering, or maybe the tendies, or the "Giant Grilled Cheese". The burgers just don't cut it for the price though. "Original Jimmys" single burger combo is $12-something after tax, and before tip, which they will ask you for at least 15% at the credit card machine :(. For that price you get a burger that's marginally larger than a basic Burger King cheeseburger with kind of a thin little patty that's overdone. Fries are OK and you get a fair amount but it's just standard Cisco brown bag type. Pricing is close to JCW but you don't get nearly the food quality or portion size. This place far exceeded my expectations. I got the 1/3lb blue cheese burger with bacon added in a combo. It satisfied my hunger like a champion. I've been here twice now and I would say it's a very average burger. The staff is friendly and there. The inside is unassuming and divey. The burger was out fast. I didn't regret the calories but I don't crave another one. Average fries. This place isn't worth it for the price. It beats McDonalds but doesn't come close to Five Guys. They gave our 2 year old son a mini ice cream and a water cup while we waited because the gentleman could see my son pointing at the cups. The food was made fresh, and it tasted amazing! The food is really good! My girlfriend and I got burgers and the pastrami fries and were very pleased. The burgers were cooked and prepared to perfection. The pastrami is top quality and tastes cut to order. The food LOOKS like the ad photos, and tastes even better. Bring your wallet cuz it's 2023 and life is expensive, but this is one of very few places in the area where you get your moneys worth with every bite. Today was our first time trying this place out and it was very good! We ordered the jalapeño burger, bacon cheeseburger and kids cheeseburger we had to wait awhile but it was well worth it! I don't know why I don't have a review up for Jimmy'z. It is my favorite burger in town. And - actually better than any chain where I have eaten. Normally, I am a fan of a small burger, but I rarely have trouble eating the third pound burger here. I like that it is a thin patty. And I love the choices of toppings and special burgers. I have tried a large number of them. The Grand Mesa with wonderful pastrami is delish - but I can rarely eat this beast of a sandwich - it is big! The green chile burger is a favorite and the one with the egg, too. Good fries and lots of ketchup available and sport peppers are yours for the taking. This isn't a super fast place - everything is cooked to order. And that is part of what makes the burgers extra tasty. When I need a burger fix - you will find me here! read more

Oh, man! The mushroom and Swiss burger is great! Juicy, plentiful amount of mushrooms, tasty burger. Caution: the 1/3 burger is bigger than the regular. Some in my party ordered the regular size burgers thinking they were bigger than the 1/3 burger. So...if you're looking for a bigger portion burger like many of the males in my group, order the 1/3 size burger. I substituted the fried for onion rings...GREAT choice! Ok. This place used to be good, but I will say, I had an crappy experince. Avocado Bacon burger was my only order. No extras. Dad ordered Fries and a small chocolate shake. The Burger? The pattie was so overcooked it was crispy on the sides and ended up drying out the burger. The Bacon tasted like something leftover from breakfast you snag off the table when you get back from church. The order, when delivered, was odd. There were fries with my order, nothing for my Dad. I asked the cashier if there was a mistake. She went to the order counter to check, and I could see she was getting reemed a new A- hole. It wasn't her fault, so I got up to get answers. Honestly, no big deal. The older guy who I assume is the owner, rudely shushed the cashier with a hand to the face . I explained what happened. He said " So what your saying is you need another basket, is that your problem? I said, no, never mind. It wasn't so much the weirdness of the order, or the dry flavorless food, it was the degrading attitude of the owner to his worker and me. In front of everyone! . This is why Chick Fil-a always has a line. Kindness, a greatful attitude and fixing whatever is wrong. So what was my experience ? Substanance food, leaving with a shitty attitude and never wanting to go back. I like to see local businesses do well, and as a person with a Degree in Hospitality management from UNLV and 20 years in food and restaurant, I give this place 6 months. $20 bucks for 1 dry burger, water, fries and tiny shake? I have eaten here twice and both times I have received good food. The Grand Mesa has delicious pastrami on it, and the burger is nice and thin and big, which I like. The fries looked fresh cut and fried and were just right. Prices are as expected and staff is friendly. I think the tables could use ketchup and mustard, all of that is by the soda machine which takes away from the old fashion diner appeal and lends itself to fast food style. I suspect they may have an issue with college kids running off with them! While I was here the staff was hard at work cleaning tables and fountain nozzles, always a good sign! read more

Jimmyz is the bomb! We live on the front range and found this gem on Yelp a few years ago. There is nothing better when coming off the Colorado river than stopping at Jimmyz on the way home. The burgers and milkshakes are our favorites but all sandwiches we've tried are great and my husband says the Reuben is one of the best he's ever had. I had the opportunity to go to Jimmy'z and I tried the Bullard Egg Burger with sweet potato fries. It was really good, the burger was cooked to medium as I requested. Juices were dripping from the burger as I ate it. That's a good sign! The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly. In fact, the burgers were so good I went back the next day after dirt biking and got the exact same thing. They even have key lime pie and chocolate lava cakes for dessert!!
