This is my 2nd visit. My server was Jennifer (Jennie). Their prices have not increased. I got the Chorizo Scramble and requested very light amount of cheese. I got very little which allowed to see plenty of chorizo in the serving. I added some Cholula hot sauce. It comes with a side of green chile and a flour tortilla. I turned down an additional side of potatoes, oatmeal or grits. Nice and spicy. The green chile was so good, I added a bowl. It had chunks of pork, tomatoes and green chiles in a hearty base. I noticed Jennie was greeted by multiple customers. Everything was clean. read more

This is our favorite breakfast spot! The clifton location is our favorite of the three. The women working are always great. The food is consistent and always hits the spot. My favorites are the country fried steak and super biscuit combo. They are large portions! read more

Staff is very cheery, Jackie was delightful. I had the best crispy, yummy bacon ever with 2 over easy and delicious hash browns. We will definitely be back. Full of locals. Maybe next visit I'll just order a plate of bacon! read more

Went here with my daughter, granddaughter, and adopted granddaughter for a quick brunch. I ordered hamburger steak (rare), 2 eggs over medium, with O'Brien potatoes, and sour dough. They got the toast right. My "rare" hamburger steak was like an old hockey puck, eggs were very overcooked and like rubber, and the potatoes were almost not cooked. Most miserable breakfast I have had in years. Should have gone to Denny's. read more

They have the best breakfast in Grand Junction! The green supreme is amazing. Jaque is supper attentive and always there to help!

Stopped in after a long drive away from home and from the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our servers were fantastic. Very caring. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The environment is very cozy and inviting. The staff stays busy but attentive. The food and service was so good we came again before we headed back home to Denver. If you're in the area local or visiting 10/10 recommend. Their pork green chili is really tasty! read more

2nd time here since moving to the Grand Valley. Tried a new breakfast item that included hash browns, green pork, white gravy, two eggs and covered in cheese. Great flavor and a hearty plateful! Our waitress said it was a favorite and I can see why. Waitstaff has always been friendly and it's a really clean restaurant. My wife and I look forward to frequenting on a regular basis. read more

I came into the Clifton location a few times and each time I have received excellent service from the little brunette kristi or Krista she is bubbly and makes the atmosphere a place you want to come back to however my bacon has been burnt on occasion my pancakes under done but today I sat and witnessed the servers gather around the till and talk crap about the tiny brunette server one called her a thief another complained about having to drop her bread shouldn't be a big deal but it is showing a hostile environment abd I feel like they have singled her out read more

Randy's is a great place to go and one of our go-to's for family breakfast or brunch. The food is great and the service is friendly and on top of it!!!!!! read more

The food is solid and the portions are great. The sausage was really good. I am giving it 3 stars because the service was slow, the waitresses seemed busy but just weren't attentive to their tables. Maybe they were understaffed? It is a convenient location so it was busy. Prompt service and attention would bring the rating up! read more

The pancakes were so yummy. Krysti was our person. She was so nice. My brother said they had the best chocolate milk.

A real good place to catch really good breakfast and really good lunch. The waitresses always smiling always joking always having a good time and they're fast on their feet. It's a warm, cozy, diner, experience, and the food is top notch. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Just had a great breakfast - Veggie Omelette and Hubby had Randy's Omelette. As usual for these days they were short staffed. However our Server was fantastic and took care of everyone quickly and efficiently yet showed no signs of stress or being rushed. Of course there were 5 tables that showed up at the same time. read more

Cute little hole-in-the-wall type diner we stopped in while passing through Grand Junction. The service was great, our waitress was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! The food came out very quickly which was awesome. I had the Ham and Cheese Skillet. Could have used a little more flavor, but I dumped picante on it and it was yummy after that! Sourdough toast was buttery and perfectly toasted! My husband had Randy's 7 something and said the sausage was outstanding and pancakes were so fluffy and delicious! read more

We went for breakfast this morning. It was down home tasty coupled with a friendly server. The pancakes, light as can be, the eggs are always spot on as I ask. The bacon crisp with no wobbly fat hanging from the edges. My sister got the eggs Benedict. That was average. It's a Cafe and maybe that is why. Randy's is my go to breakfast place. read more

My local diner. Never disappoints. As a former NJ resident where the diner is king, this place is right up there and has the added bonus of serving many SW breakfast favorites. I might not be able to get Taylor Ham here, but the corned beef hash with green chili doesn't disappoint. read more

It's a greasy spoon. Tasty and generous portions, good service. This is where you see the Cowboys and veterans, bikers and roughnecks, old folks and good ole boys go. I like the breakfast Burrito with country gravy. The burgers are very good. I have never had anything bad here. read more

There are two Randy's Southside Diners in the greater Grand Junction area. Both are locally owned and operated by the Emmons family. One is on Highway 50, the other is on Business I-70 in Clifton, on the east edge of Grand Junction. Randy's Southside Diner in Clifton is in a former sports bar. This results in an unusual, but very pleasant seating arrangement. The interior is like a stadium, with three levels of seating. The width and length of each level makes it tough to jam in a lot of tables. Fortunately the owners decided to not fight the architecture and the result is a spacious table arrangement providing some distance, privacy, and reduced noise level from table to table. Upon arrival we were seated promptly on the middle level. The restaurant was about half full at that time. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of selections of breakfast, lunch and supper dishes. We chose a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Curly Fries and a bowl of Homemade Beef Vegetable Soup, and Randy's Southside Chicken sandwich with a Dinner Salad. The grilled cheese had a nice amount of American cheese (other types were available), nice chewy sourdough bread, and a tasty buttery crust from the grilling. The curly fries were crispy and tasty. The soup was rich, dense, and loaded with beef and veggies. The grilled chicken sandwich was a nicely grilled marinated chicken breast with a moist interior. It was coated in a chutney, in this case a sweet tangy sauce reminiscent of "duck sauce" at a Chinese restaurant. And it was topped with jack cheese before being placed in a good sized bun. It was saucy enough to be messy to eat by hand, easy to eat with knife and fork. The combination of the grilled chicken, the sauce, and the bun, was very satisfying and a change of pace from other chicken sandwiches. The dinner salad was basic (chopped lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese and choice of dressing), but was generous and went well with the sandwich. Stephanie was our waitress and was a delight. She was attentive, informative, and paid attention for opportunities to make suggestions or offer things such as Ranch dressing for the fries and extra napkins for the sandwich. Her professionalism and good sense of humor added to the total experience. I am looking forward to going back and trying their Ground Round -- 8 ounces of ground steak wrapped in bacon, grilled and topped with grilled onions. Sounds delicious! read more

Have had only one meal here, but it was great. I had the ground round meal. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. I'd say it was more like medium, but it was juicy and tender (sometimes burger steaks can be more like leather, this one wasn't). It was wrapped in plenty of bacon and topped with deliciously grilled red onions. It was served with Texas Toast (meh) and a choice of side. I had a perfectly fine salad, with dressing on the side (didn't even have to ask). The service was excellent. I found the waitress to be fun and informative. When my husband was going to get a BLT, she said - really? You don't want to try the BLATT (a BLT with turkey and avocado). Now, you could take this in a bad way - reading what I wrote. But, with her personality and inflection - you just had to laugh. And - he got the BLATT and loved it. Atmosphere is very relaxed. Service was quick and the food was very tasty. Ground round may not sound exciting - but the flavor was there! read more

Randy's Southside Diner - Great Breakfast Comfort Food for Lunch! Everything Very Good... Eggs Perfect Great Price, Friendly Service - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Clifton, Colorado

I love "smaller town" diners. Sometimes I hit gems. This is close. Despite what others write about slow service, that was not our experience. We went at 1 pm on a weekday. Seating was immediate. Service was prompt. We got our beverages quick and the food shortly thereafter. We had burger and grilled BLT with turkey and bacon, side salads. Very good, though I can never understand why people serve iceburg lettuce. Worth a stop. We will return. read more

I ordered through grubhub but did self pickup. Gave me a time and I left house. I live 5 minutes away. Order said ready when I was about 2 minutes away. Picked up my food. Waitress told me she wouldn't get the tip and my food was sitting in counter instead if under heat lamp. I pulled over to eat it across the street. It was ice cold even the toast. Potatoes looked like they were dark brown and cold. First time eating there and so disappointed. Then the breakfast had this piece of greens that looked dead. I ate cause I was hungry. But now have a stomach ache read more

Compare a picture of Randy and then take a good look at The Pillsbury Dough boy... Spitting image... He doesn't support seniors or Veterans with 10% discounts. That is majority of the people who go to his restaurant... He can't accept criticism from long time customers and thinks his poop doesn't stink... More reviews state that... He'll come flying out the door claiming we know nothing!! Well buddy, I have a business management degree and ran a business for many years before retiring and did 1.7 million a year... I know you don't even come close to that!!! So don't tell someone who knows a boatload more than you'll ever know!!! Oh and the girls are on pins and needles which should never be that way!! Not the way to treat those waitresses and cooks... One more thing, have you ever priced check with other similar restaurant's and see how your prices are way out of whack? Would not recommend this restaurant!!!! read more

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. I won't be back nor will I recommend this place. The food has an old grease taste. Barely palatable. Silverware was dirty. On the good side our waitress was very friendly and nice but her supervisor wasn't at all. My bacon was cold with the grease already turning white on the strips ...like it had been saved from someone else's plate. If you are really hungry pass this place up and visit McDonalds instead. I wish I had. read more

I'm sorry Randy's. Your food was terrible. Nothing tastes fresh. Green chile tasted like it came from a can. Home fries tasted half cooked and green. I tried drowning them in ketchup to get through it but it wasn't possible and that was some cheap watery ketchup in those Heinz bottles. "Fluffy" eggs were dense and hard. The omelette filling was poured into one end of the omelette leaving the rest of the omelette just tough egg. And to top the omelette off with sour cream, the dollop was over the potatoes, not even touching the omelette. I'll give the one star to the nice women working there. read more

Great place for family meal no matter the day. Service was great. So many people point out bads like a line or they had to call a few times to order. That means the location is busy because it is good. I'd rather wait 30 min for a good hot meal. Keep up the work guys. Randy is great. And Shawna the server is the best read more

A 3 at best. We've been to this location twice--the place wasn't packed either time, there were open tables and we still waited a long while to be both greeted then seated. The service was unsurprisingly slow and the server undertrained. All this for standard, mostly pre-packaged diner food. It leaves a lot to be desired. read more

my go to breakfast place everytime! friendly staff & great food!

Service is ok. Not above average. Sausage gravy? Hardly any sausage. Very disappointing! Not sure aboyt the other locations.

The worst breakfast burrito I have ever had. Huge disappointment. These people need to be put on kitchen nightmares. But on the plus side the cinnamon roles are to die for. Best my friend has ever had read more

Great Breakfast great prices. Need to look for it just off I-70 business route and highway 141.

The service was fine and the food came in a reasonable amount of time but the $10 Reuben I ordered came with about $3 of corned beef on it. When I got it I had to actually look inside it to see the meat. I should have taken a picture of it. The sandwich was delicious only after I combined the meat from both onto one half of it. Nobody asked me how it was but maybe they noticed the look of disappointment on my face when I received it. I will not be back and I will not recommend them to anyone else either. read more

The location in Clifton needs something to be desired (because of atmosphere) but the location in Orchard Mesa & on North Avenue are great! My favorite is the Greener Supreme. It's a shame! Randy's in Clifton, CO had a great large space that was handicapped accessible. Now they moved to a much smaller space w/ small red booths & a couple of tables. There will be more a wait for those that want to sit at a table or for folks that come in a w/c. This Randy's used to be better that the others due to the space. Now I'll just get to go orders here. read more

The food was excellent. Biscuits and gravy did not disappoint with the perfect texture and creaminess, and not too salty or watery. The omelette was well cooked and presented. Both portions were large. The only reason it is not a 5-star review is the service. Our server was friendly but we waited over 10 minutes for a hello or water glass. We then waited 35 minutes for our food after ordering. read more
