My husband's Turkey Melt and Creamy Mac and Cheese did not disappoint with gooey goodness and my Cod Fish Sandwich was crispy and delicious. Use to love this place!! John the owner had let his girlfriend Mia start " running" those place. As a local a who went in to decompress with we have been run off. But she can bring her dog into a resturant/bar?. They will not let you have more than 4 people at a bar table? Did not use to be an issue. They have run off amazing bartenders and servers. I may be burning bridges but think I speak for a lot of people. My last straw was when Mia was complaining to the owner about the "SPIC" cop who gave her a ticket, even though she was blaring" SPIC "music from her radio. John was laughing (the owner). This establishment was quite the joke when my fiancee and I visited yesterday. We were told to seat ourselves, then an elderly server approached us and literally said "I guess youll be wanting dinner?" As if people come there for the air. She never told us her name , approached us 2 minutes after we got there asking if we were ready to order and then again another 2 minutes later. Then she had the audacity to say to my fiancee that she had a hard time deciding? We were seated for about 5 minutes at this point. This has become our go-to spot for a beer and a burger (or a salad, or some chicken, and always for some good homemade soup!). It is tucked into a small shopping center and it took us about a year to try it. But now we are hooked. It is always good and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It is quite noisy, but we found that sitting at one of the high tops in the bar area allows us to watch the action in the kitchen and it is also (oddly) a quieter spot. The burger is one of the best in the area and you have lots of choices for how you want it (8 ounce, 5 ounce, or 2 sliders) - and all kinds of toppings. Our first was a straightforward bacon cheese burger. It was cooked exactly as I asked for - pink. And a good amount of freshly cooked bacon. The second time, I got the brunch burger - chorizo with a fried egg on top. Whoever runs the fryer here knows what they are doing. I know the fries (both regular and curly) are probably frozen - but they come out hot, crisp and addictive. The sweet potato fries are the best I have had. Onion rings - great. Jalapeno corn bites - delish. We had the fried chicken salad today with the 357 Gold Rush Rush sauce on the chicken. Sweet, tangy and spicy. And the greens were a nice mix - not the spring mix that is too much in use at many restaurants. The soups - oh my. I have a hard time finding restaurants that make their own soups. This place make their own soups and they are special. I had the Philly Cheesesteak soup and the Southwestern Potato bacon soups so far and they were both fantastic.They don't skimp on the flavor or the namesake ingredients. There are specials every day - again something that I don't see enough restaurants doing. When we are headed out, my husband asks what I want to order - I always say, it depends on what the special is! The food is good not great and the wait staff is friendly but super slow. It took us over 45 minutes to get our order and the place wasn't very busy. We got an appetizer and it arrived in good time. Apparently the waitress totally blew getting our dinner order. We asked about our food and were informed that there was a mistake in preparing our order and it had to be redone. She did offer us $20 off our ticket but after our food finally arrived my chicken wings were on the rare side. I decided I would just take them home and finish cooking them as we had already been there for over an hour just waiting on food. This is a diamond in the rough. Definitely a good stop for anyone.. This place has a nice bar and grill feel. The food was excellent and the service was even better. I had the mushrooms, mountain oysters, and the Reuben sandwich with fries. All of them exceeded my expectations. They have TVs on every wall and comfortable private seating. Darn near the only place in town where you can get Rocky Mountain oysters. You don't have to wait long for your order. Waiters and waitresses mostly have a smile on their face and the food is so good and it also matches the ambience which is basically a sports bar, it's warm and inviting. That being said, I have visited this one multiple times and each time was very pleasant. I love the small-town feel of this establishment. The owner will chat with each customer coming in and welcome them in. The staff has always been friendly and well-groomed. The food is fresh and made to order and is delivered to our table promptly so much so that we have to wait a few moments for it to cool in order to even touch it. That's how fresh it is.
