Five guys has always been a good experience for me, until today. We walked into the five guys in Grand Junction, Colorado, and they must've been using a little too much of that sweet Colorado weed. It's like they were asleep at the wheel. We did two orders and they completely screwed them up. And by completely, we could've gotten our burgers better at Taco Bell. I don't think I could've made a bigger mess of the orders if I had tried to. We had to talk slowly to correct the order several times and they still came out wrong. Including adding buns to a gluten-free order. So they redid both orders, and surprise surprise, they were both completely wrong again. Outside of having a slothful and thoughtless staff, the place was pretty disgusting. I will continue to go to five guys at other locations, but I will never return to this location. read more

This place is a mess. Walked into the restroom and it's full of roaches. My burger was overcooked and it tasted nasty. The fries were soggy too. I just threw the whole thing in the trash. When I complained, the owner happened to be there and he made some racists remarks. He told me to go back to Mexico. I'm not even Mexican. I was born here. We came in tonight to get burgers and fries. We got here about 25 minutes to closing. We sat down and got our food and started eating. A few people came in after us 10 minutes to closing then 5 minutes to closing. Basically the whole time we were eating there was a girl worker complaining loudly that they were closing and that it was getting busy right around closing time. Definitely not something that the customer wants to hear. It was a younger girl and a younger guy working in there. She was bossing him around virtually making him do everything. It smelled good walking in, but the high price of the burgers, fries and shakes is not worth the burger. The meat itself is lean and bland. You will need to add extra sauce and condiments (which are included) to make your burger taste good. A heated bun would help. Our fries came cold and stale. They were not made to order. There were piles of cooked fries in the back. I didn't try the $6 shake. The little burger is $7 plus and the big burger is $9.99. Red Robin's tavern burger is much tastier and less expensive. I'd like to know who the manager is for this location... This place was dirty, staff standing around... my food served cold. Highly disappointed with our 30.00 meal for two. There wasn't a clean table in the entire place, while customers as expected did toss their trash, the staff does not EVER wipe down a table or sweep the floor. I asked if the business had been slow since opening and the cashier was hesitant to say but told the truth in saying yes to my question. I ordered a burger and fries and a shake. Shake - nothing special too expensive for $6+; Fries - best part of the meal; Burger - looked at reviews of burger being dry - true, and the bun gets soggy if not eaten fast enough, and so gross I couldn't finish the burger... This is the only 5 guys in Grand Junction. This was our 2nd time at this location. First time wasn't great but this 2nd time the service and the food was good. I asked for a second patty for my dog and they wrapped it in a container and put it in its own bag for her! I was beyond impressed because that showed they cared. The food was good too and so was the shake because some five guys don't mix the shakes well. So here's a tip ask for a 2nd patty for your burger and tel them you need it in a separate container for your dog. Anyplace that will do this for my dog gets my business time and time again!!! read more

Would like to give a little update on Five Guys in Grand Junction. The previous reviews must have been after they first opened up. I was in today 1/20 for dinner. Every table was clean and the floors were clean. Plus keep in mind when you are waiting for your food they have peanuts in the shells to eat and so that is probably why other post were talking about the restaurant not being clean. Also comments about fries and bun being soggy. People that is their style. When it comes to the fries that is their style of cooking the fries, and the buns when you wrap a burger in tinfoil the bun is going to naturally be moist. Again that is their style and you should know that when you walk in the door. And higher prices are going to happen that is the post COVID world we live in. What I like is I get to see the exact farm that the potatoes were harvested from. That's homegrown and fresh from the field fries. You can't ask for anything better. read more

Entered this 5 guys location today around 3 in the afternoon thinking this location is new so it should be good with food and being clean. Wow, what a disappointment. Should have listened to my wife who wanted to leave due to the unbelievable mess on the tables , the chairs and the floors were a big mess with food all over. Silly me, I said to try to overlook it because the burgers were very good a few yrs back in Lakewood co. The burgers were OK (Wendys are better) the fries OK, some done and some not. The prices a bit high for what you get. Biggest issue was that with many many employees standing around no one in the appx 45 minutes there did a thing to clean up the mess which really surprised me. The staff is extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. When I walked in, they basically had the attitude that I interrupted their day. Employee hygiene is awful!! Most have long hair that is not tucked inside a hat or hairnet. Many have absurd piercings that does not do anything to take them seriously. My burger arrived, and wouldn't you know it? Hair. Who would have guessed? There is no clear manager on duty. The staff is barely identifiable as such because most are just in street clothes and not an actual uniform. This location needs to do better. The restaurant is filthy. Not a single table clean, the floors were trashed and the garbage was overflowing.
