    French Toasts

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a friend who works in the restaurant industry in Aspen and we decided to go here for brunch. We had to wait a little because we arrived at around 11:30 on a Saturday and of course it was full by then. However, since we were only three people, the wait wasn't too bad. The place is big and spacious, and even though it was full, it felt comfortable. We also had a four year-old with us and they had a nice kid menu for him. So each one of us ordered a dish and one of my friends also ordered an extra plate of french toasts to share. French toast here are made with brioche bread, so they were really yummy. I ordered one of their hash dishes and it was served with two eggs any style. I prefer mine over easy. One of my friends ordered the eggs Benedict and the other one, an egg sandwich. We were all happy with our food. Service was also very efficient and quick, even though the restaurant was completely full. I would definitely return here with my husband, who I know is going to enjoy it.

Really nice place. Service was excellent and the food SO good! I came with my sister and best friend I had not seen in almost 25 years. If I'm ever back in Grand Junction I would have brunch here again.

Came in early in a Saturday. There was 12 of us but luckily we only had to wait about 30 minutes. Service was fast and everything was delicious. Pumpkin pancake was the best I have ever had. Prices were very reasonable

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday morning and had an enjoyable breakfast experience as we trekked toward Arches National Park near Moab, UT. The location of the restaurant was fairly convenient, looked nice on the outside in a nice strip mall, plenty of free parking in the mall parking lot, were greeted upon entering, seated immediately, the dining room was nicely decorated, clean, and relaxing, plenty of seating, were served very soon, our server was friendly and patient, the menu had many & varied breakfast & lunch choices, reasonably priced items, my Big Breakfast choice was served barely warm (not hot) within 10 minutes and was delicious (excellent bacon), and the restroom was clean and smelled nice, the free, pass-worded WiFi worked well.

The new seasonal drink, tangerine dream, when mixed together tastes like an orange creamsicle! Highly recommend! The service was so quick and our waiter was kind and speedy! Very attentive but didn't crowd the table. It got a little loud in there but that's to be expected when you get breakfast on a Saturday morning. The taste of the pancake was amazing and it's so huge! I love the chocolate chip pancakes!

We were in Grand Junction and for the breakfast we were looking for a place nearby. We decided to have breakfast at First Watch. First Watch is an amazing breakfast restaurant with lot of breakfast options available in the menu. We were greeted by the server along with the menus and water. After browsing through the menu for drinks we ordered Kale Juice, Mimosa and for breakfast we ordered Veggie Omelette, Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, Avocado, Fruit bowl and Blueberry muffin. The service for first watch was good and first we got the drinks. The juice was delicious with the fresh ingredients. The mimosa was amazing too. The power breakfast quinoa bowl was delicious and healthy breakfast. The veggie omelette was delicious and we loved the omelette. The fruits and avocado were delicious and we loved both of them. Definitely do try their blueberry muffin. It is must to have.

I hadn't been to a First Watch in years, but my memories were proven right--it's a tasty place to go! After waffling between a couple of awesome choices, I ended up getting the Trifecta with a waffle. The texture was wonderful. Not too doughy or heavy, but also not too airy. Oh, and that little dollop of butter is heaven. Definitely returning soon!

This was a great spot to have brunch. We are on a road trip and we searched best breakfast and we are glad that this please deliver the goods there was choices for everyone for breakfast and or lunch. The million dollar bacon was amazing thank God it only cost five dollars they had great smoothies. Everything seemed fresh, but the best part of all was our server Stella, she really made us feel welcome and made our day all the brighter!! Thanks Stella for making our transit thru your city memorable !! Love your energy !! Best of luck on your endeavors!! Thanks first watch !!

Anytime I see a Firstwatch near me when I'm traveling, It's almost guaranteed I'll be visiting. Food was excellent as always. I tried their new Shishito Brisket Hash. It was delicious. Coffee is always on point. The side sausage I could of done without. It was soft and mushy YUK! Flavor was good. Texture was awful. Service in this location was good and friendly. Location was a little wierd. Tucked in a corner, you really have to look for it if you ain't from these parts hēya.(I said that in my head with my best twang accent) not that that accent is from here. Anyways, I enjoyed my experience and will likely visit a few more times while I'm here.

Enough about logistics and my biscuit history, lets talk Alarado. The biscuits. Whatever you get, you have to try it with the biscuit. Personally went with the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with pepper jack and the BISCUIT ofc. There's something surreal about eating a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich at 7:00 am in the morning when its raining outside. I'm surprised I even got a photo of it before demolishing it. Now underrated co-start is the breakfast burrito. Because my back is big, I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito with green chili. Goodness gracious, that one also was a banger seriously. Biscuit sandwich or burritos are definitely the move I'd say here. Go get your biscuit on.

My wife and I were really excited to check out Devil's Kitchen during our time in Grand Junction…read more It sits up on the rooftop of the Hotel Maverick. We decided to drop in without a reservation. The host was honestly pretty weird about it. He told us he had to go ask his waiters if they would even agree to take us. Truth be told, that is a bizarre way to welcome paying guests. They ultimately found a spot for us. Then they abandoned us for a solid fifteen minutes before anyone even approached the table. We finally ordered our drinks and watched another twenty minutes tick away. I went with the CMU Centennial Manhattan. It is built with a Colorado bourbon, sweet vermouth, local hot honey, bitters, and a bordeaux cherry. A proper Manhattan needs a careful balance between the whiskey and the sweet vermouth to round out the bite. Honestly, they were just way too heavy-handed with that hot honey. It was so aggressively spicy that it just wasn't enjoyable. My wife ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. Hers was actually perfectly balanced with a really nice citrus kick. We put in an order for the Deviled Kitchen Eggs. Another twenty minutes passed before they hit the table. They make them with a tempura fried egg white and an herb yolk. I appreciate the attempt at a crispy texture. They were decent but ultimately nothing special. My wife ordered the Bison Tip Pappardelle. I decided on the Roasted Dirty Hippie Half Chicken. They use a local Palisade beer marinade for the chicken. I ordered it with duck fat potato dippers and truffle yucca on the side. Another thirty minutes crawled by before the main courses arrived. Both dishes were just huge letdowns. The pappardelle noodles were completely stuck together in a starchy clump. The wild mushroom cream sauce was overly sweet and cloying instead of savory. The bison meat was tough and tasted exactly like plain boiled beef. There was absolutely nothing enjoyable about that pasta dish. My chicken wasn't any better. It had a terribly rubbery texture. It felt like it was roasted three days ago and lazily reheated. The skin was soggy and gross instead of crisp and properly rendered. The duck fat dippers were completely missing that deep, savory richness you expect when cooking with animal fats. The truffle yucca was actually pretty tasty. A good side dish just can't make up for a terrible main course, though. We didn't bother asking for a second round of drinks. The food was so poor that we skipped dessert and just asked for the check. The panoramic view of the Colorado National Monument from the rooftop is fantastic. A beautiful sunset just isn't enough to excuse a bad dinner, though. We expected a much higher-end culinary experience. What we got felt like a bunch of college students running a very disorganized experiment. I would definitely skip this spot.

I could mention several criticisms of recent managerial decisions, but I'll just limit it to one. The "American Breakfast" has disappeared, replaced by an a la carte ordering model. I assume this reflects price creep and the reality that the market will not support a $20 counter-service breakfast (especially one that prompts for pre-tipping) when a comparable $12 option is available across the street at a full-service restaurant. Combined with long wait times and lukewarm food, caused by either amateurs in the kitchen or lackadaisical food delivery by the counter-staff, Cafe Sol has regretfully moved to my "occasionally OK" list.
