Mine came out hot, crispy & fresh from the fryer. The burger tasted very good, arguably a little bread heavy but the bun was "squishy" enough not to get to much in the way (I think I may have had the double last time a few years ago where it's less noticeable). I like that there are several options to customize your burger without extra charge. I have to ding one star as a few fountain drink options weren't available.

The parking lot was packed, but luckily we were able to get seated right away (and we timed it perfectly, because a massive tour bus arrived just as we were leaving!). We ordered a variety of dishes for the table. My son got the chocolate pancakes with bacon, and he absolutely LOVED them. To me, the pancakes tasted a bit oily, and only one of the three bacon strips arrived truly crispy. My friend enjoyed his meal of steak tips with eggs over easy, cheesy hashbrowns, and roasted apples--he mentioned the apples tasted just like apple pie filling. My own meal was where things fell flat. I ordered the grilled catfish with grits, over-easy eggs, and cheesy hashbrowns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but the catfish was quite bland. The grits completely lacked flavor, so I tried mixing them with the cheesy, salty hashbrowns to help, but I ultimately ended up abandoning both. I had a biscuit instead, which was okay, but I left the meal feeling full rather than satisfied. On the bright side, the retail shop was so much fun to walk around, and we loved looking through all of their holiday decor.
