Charming outside and inside! Staff greeted us as we entered. Seated immediately and she helped us pick our food -- chip sampler, chicken tostadas and soft tacos! My picky eater LOVED his soft tacos and the chicken tostadas were so flavorful. The chip sampler came with three different but oh so delicious dips!! Will definitely be coming back!! read more

We were in the area and hungry so I pulled up the map to see what was around and open (it's Labor Day). This popped up so we decided to give it a try and we are SO glad we did! My torta was fantastic and my husband got the chorizo and eggs which he loved. We can't wait to go back read more

Great hole in the wall Mexican restaurant!!! Looks and feels like I'm in Mexico City. The food is delicious! The kid's menu has real chicken, not mushy chicken that a fast food place will make. The burrito had a lot of flavor, and my son like the salsa verde. Service was great! read more

Nice and cute atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated and colorful, it's a nice casual place to sit down and eat. The employees are kind. As for the food, the beef chimichanga is delicious. It's tasty and has the perfect crispy texture outside. The rice and beans are delicious as well. On the other hand, I also ordered the huevos rancheros and pork which weren't ideal. The eggs were still very raw and gooey which wasn't too appetizing. Protein wise, I'd recommend getting the beef or chicken. read more

Mi Sabor - Chimichangas - Mexican Near Me - Flemington, New Jersey

After spending twenty five years in the southwest and coming back to this area, going to Mexican restaurants is just not worth it. They usually barely resemble the incredible food i became accustomed to. But today we came here for the first time and my world just changed! I ordered the gorditas with fish, and my partner got the mole chicken enchiladas. Both were tremendous and filled with flavor. Clean, and higher quality food than any others we have visited in the northeast. We started with the chip and dip trio- red, green salsa with guacamole as the third. But it was the green tomatillo salsa that was the star of the entire meal for me ( as well as the incredible Mole) and I usually don't like tomatillo salsas at all. This one was above and beyond. We will be back soon. SO good!! read more

The food was super fresh and the staff was amazing! The chef even came out to chat, 10/10 would highly recommend!

The salsa and chips were good but cost you an extra $6. Not 'on the house' like at most restaurants. Ok, I can get past that. The green salsa was very good. Just the right amount of heat. So I was excited about the meal...unfortunately it wasn't as good. The tacos carnitas had a meat that resembled and kind of tasted like sausage which was very confusing to me. I'm used to a pork shoulder kind of consistency. I ate 1 and went back to the salsa and chips. My husband's chicken enchilada with Verdi sauce was equally uninteresting. Service was pleasant. Tables were clean. Don't know how they got 4 plus stars.... Overall disappointed. read more

Very good quality Mexican food. Meals are handcrafted and individually prepared to order, with each meal taking about 20 minutes to prepare. Authentic flavors and plentiful fresh cilantro. Some of the best guacamole I've ever eaten. Steak dishes come with a flavorful, tender, grilled to perfection non-fatty 16oz steak for under $30 including sides. Shrimps are crisp to the bite and packed with fresh flavor. It's byob so bring your own Margarita fixin's. They bring you a choice of drink glasses, plenty of ice and lime slices. Or some Dos Equis beers This is a simple place with great food and friendly service. My wife and I will be repeat customers. read more

The food at Mi Sabor is delicious! The staff is attentive and extremely accommodating. We recently visited with our infant and they could not have been kinder. Will certainly be back when it's warm and we can enjoy our meal outside. read more

Mi Sabor is amazing! The service is excellent, the prices are especially reasonable for the quality and portions of the meals, and the food is out of this world. Incredible options for brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert. I highly recommend the plantains for the appetizer, the grilled steak + enchiladas for entree, and the flan for dessert. The tres leches and taco plater were also delicious! The atmosphere is festive, colorful, casual, and fun. read more

Hidden gem! Very understated so we weren't sure what to expect. We ordered the pupusas to start and then the burrito and tacos for entree and everything was DELICIOUS. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the cilantro was crisp, the limes were juicy, and the service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend!!! read more

Mi sabor is the best Mexican food in town! The food is really fresh and flavorful and they have so many options! I want to highlight their chimichangas - they're super crispy, stuffed with meat and vegetables (it's the best chimichanga I've ever had!) You have to order at the desk, and pick up the food at your table. The seating area is nice, but nothing special. It's really just the food and flavors that makes this place special!!!! read more

Very good food prepared here . I wish the menu was a bit more adventurous but all the usual suspects are on the menu and it's very well prepared . Our waitress was attentive and got the food out to us quickly . The ambience could use a little update but it's a pleasure to support a small business who keeps the doors open and consistently deliver good solid meals read more

Travelling through Flemington, I decided to check out this place for lunch. Oh my my...so delicious!!! The red opted for enchiladas was delicious! Everything was very flavorful but not spicy. The black beans are to die for! Rice is cooked perfectly and balanced in flavor. Everything tastes very fresh and absolutely delicious!!! I ordered some more to go because I don't live close to this area...but I'll travel for this for sure!!! read more

Mi Sabor - Veggie enchiladas, salsa sampler, and complimentary chips/salsa - Mexican Near Me - Flemington, New Jersey

When brought my food, I noticed a black spec under a layer of my rice which turned out to be a bug upon further investigation. I very promptly brought this to the attention of the staff who essentially shifted the blame onto me despite me not making a scene and bringing this to their attention very calmly. This did not sit well with me but I went back to my table to eat my food regardless hoping that would redeem this experience but I was disappointed in this aspect too. The food itself is over priced as the quantity you get is very small and the quality of the food is a step up from your fast food places like Taco Bell (not saying much). While eating, I noticed the workers of the restaurant constantly trying to sneak looks at me from the kitchen which made me very uncomfortable. To rectify me finding a bug in my rice, they gave me a 25% discount off my entire meal which took off $6 from my bill (the price of the chips and salsa which comes free in most restaurants). When paying, the owner/manager continued to shift the blame and come up with excuses when I was just desperate to pay and get out of there. I would recommend you skip this place until changes with their staff approach to customers, food quality/quantity and cleanliness of their kitchen happen. read more

We enjoyed our dinner at Mi Sabor, a small and casual Mexican restaurant. The chicken tamales and smothered pastor burrito were both delicious. Servers were attentive and friendly. BYOB too! read more

Sopas were okay! Service was average to sub par. They do use great quality chicken in the sopas which I always appreciate. The special today was the Chile Rellenos that would've been excellent but there was too much tomatos/sauce over it so the texture because mush. Great outdoor seating! None of their salsas are spicy. Unfortunately. I tried their hottest one and I could've poured it in my eye and been fine. read more

It was my first time here - and on Cinco de Mayo. We will definitely be back! Bianca took exceptional care of us and was super sweet. We started with house-made chips and delicious guacamole.... yum! My husband ordered chicken quesadillas, which many don't consider to be representative of Mexican food but these were delicious with the right mix of tender and perfectly seasoned chicken and cheese. I ordered chicken enchiladas with mole and it was so delicious. The portion size was large with 4 enchiladas and normally I would have taken half of it home but it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating them. The rice was quite flavorful and the black beans were the right consistency and complemented the rest of the plate. For dessert we had flan, with a delicious flavor profile. It was a little on the dry side but I'd still order it again. We are SO coming back! read more

My boyfriend and I visited and dined in. We were able to be seated immediately despite it being busy. Our initial waitress pretty much disappeared after taking our orders, I assume to help with takeout orders since it seems they were getting a lot of those. We waited maybe 40min or more before we got our food and people who got there after us got their food first. We got the attention of another waitress who was more than happy to help and was super accommodating. I ordered the carne asada, it came out great no complaints on that. My boyfriend ordered the sopes, it came out cold he had to ask for it to be reheated. Prices were reasonable. Overall, wasn't really a bad place just a few hiccups. read more

I was in town for business and stopped by Mi Sabor for dinner. I ordered the beef enchiladas which came with rice and beans. I was surprised that no chips and salsa were served prior to the meal. Food was just ok. I like Mexican food but wasn't wowed with the meal. read more

We were visiting friends in the area and ordered some takeout from Mi Sabor. I was really pleased with what I got. I may occasionally over-order, so I went with the breaded steak torta and the pork gorditas. The torta was delicious. Pickled jalapeños, tomato, Oaxaca cheese, onion, avocado, lettuce, and breaded steak. While the quality of the breaded steak you'd typically get is just ok, their cut was quick one of the better I've had. Not too thick and not too tough so you could bite through without pulling the whole steak out of the sandwich. The gorditas were large and tasty. Chunks of pork, salsa, cheese, in a great shell. There may have also been beans! Prices were reasonable and I think I could have gotten away with one "meal", but I'm glad I tried both. read more

The waiter is super nice and he was quick with the drinks. We sat outside and it is super peaceful. The food was okay.

Best Mexican food in the area. Pretty good selection and quality that covers most pangs for good food!

As a Mexican person.... This is not authentic lol ($12) Got a burrito the size of my hand with mainly beans, rice, lettuce (??? Only American burritos have lettuce) and some meat. The green salsa was ok but they ONLY give you one and will charge you for more. Also don't expect variety, all they gave me was one green sauce. Where's the pickled onions/carrots? Red sauce ? read more

Ordered takeout. Kids beef taco, kids beef burrito, adult smothered burrito and a steak. The taco and burritos had chunks of boiled unseasoned beef and fat that was both flavorless and chewy. Kids wouldn't eat it. Wife's steak was tough and large portion of fat. Only thing that was edible was the guacamole, tortillas and fries. Will not go back. Will not recommend. No idea how this place gets good rating with garbage food like this. read more

very nice staff & cute establishment. i ordered take out and wasn't wooed by it. the steak nachos has very small pieces of steak which was fatty and not super flavorful. the salad was basically just iceberg lettuce and didn't have dressing. slightly pricey for mediocre food. will try again and get other items. i want to have faith !! read more

The service was great service. The young ladies were very attentive and helpful. The food had a good Mexican taste, still and definitely, can be improve. But the cost wasn't good for the food you get. We paid $17 for 3 tacos!!! no rice no beans no salad!! - We have eaten in many many Mexican restaurants but never had this experience. I don't like to write bad reviews but in this case, I should, so owners pay attention to the food they serve. read more

The food is very good. I had a taco special with chorizo and pork. My wife had sopas . Both were as indicated ,excellent . The atmosphere is nothing to write home about . It's crowded, noisy and a bit cramped. No one gave us menus and a menu my wife got from the front had food particles on it. The place also was a little messy. Service was little strange but quick. A party seated after us was served before we were. To his credit, our waiter admitted that our order was lost. They have interesting specials that you can order , if you can remember them. In other words they don't give you a printed list and no one tells you about them. Overall I liked the place and might go back but I think they could use a little polishing up. read more

Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've had! We stopped here for lunch after taking a train tour in Phillipsburg after reading the ratings on yelp. Don't be fooled by the décor inside, it's not fancy. It was late for lunch so we didn't have much of a problem getting a table but the place is small. I'd guess 10 tables at best. There is no liquor but I did see people at another table with a bottle of wine. The waitress brought over a plate of home made chips & spicy green salsa. Both were very good but I thought for 3 people they could have given us a larger dish. It was no problem at all when we asked for more. I opted for the chicken enchilada with a red sauce (yes, I had a choice), black beans & rice. Although service was a bit slow it was so worth it! Food came out piping hot, fresh & delicious! One friend ordered a shrimp chimichanga & the other, gorditas, which I had never heard of. They both raved about their food as well. Prices are very reasonable & you get a decent portion of food. I definitely recommend Mi Sabor & hope to return again. read more

Today I dined for dinner with my sister after having visited a year ago. It was a slow night typical for a Monday. My sister ordered ground beef nachos and I ordered pupusas but I asked if they can make it with chicken and cheese because I can't have pork and I'm not big on beans and cheese. So my server asked the cooks if they could do that for me and they were kind enough to do so and it was great! Then she ordered an enchilada and I ordered three shrimp tacos. Our food was so phenomenal and mouth watering and scrumptious! I'm so glad and thankful that I came back for another experience since I had been wanting their pupusas and some real tacos. Oh and the horchata wasn't too bad could be a little bit sweeter or a stronger flavor. read more
