This McDonald's located just off of 24 in Chattanooga is your standard stand alone McD's spot. Chattanooga is a normal stop off for mon my trips to and from Atlanta from Nashville and this time I was craving a sweet tea and some fries, so swung in here to scoop them both up. Even though the drive thru was fairly empty, I decided to pop inside to order. I ordered at the kiosk, which was no issue, then began to wait. Turns out they were a bit disorganized and overwhelmed inside. Other patrons had been waiting for upwards of 10 minutes and the staff kept having to ask people what their numbers were. I had the same experience. Luckily my fries were hot and the tea was as sweet as expected, so no issues there. Store was clean and in good shape. The hamburgers we ordered were cold, the employees were wearing very dirty clothes and even though the banners SAY they serve all day breakfast, they DO NOT!! When we asked about it, the employees responded that the banner has been there since before COVID. Well the food is McDonalds food. We were in town for a family get together. The people last night who worked the drive thru were great. The young man was very nice and personable. Flash forward to this morning. Apparently they dont have morning people working breakfast. We put the order in for online, there were 3 orders. One person's order was for the drive thru, everyone else was for inside. Wellwhen We asked for the items to go and not thru the drive thru, they acted like it was a big deal to put the food in a bag. Then, the lady said what do you want now while waiting for the rest of our order. Yeah, rude much? So the maybe was because this place is bipolar. You don't know what personality will be waiting on you. I don't do rude at all. And the woman inside was rude. *Update. I put this review in before getting all pur food. After 20 minutes and seeing the order on the screen, they told us that order wasn't there and there was nothing to do about it. So we had to go back to the hotel, get a picture of the code and go back over there. Just because we inconvenienced the woman by asking for our food to be put in a bag. We will never come to this one again. And I gave them 2 starts to start but after this I changed it to 1. Horrible customer service. When we got our happy meat I tried the chicken but it had no flavor so I drink my sprite to realize that is was caffeine free!!! I'm not a fan of that and plus that's not even what i ordered. First off I think it is ridiculous that you have to place your order at a kiosk instead of having an employee take your order especially when this McDonald's was so nasty it was unreal. I've never seen (a new) McDonald's this bad before. There was food on every table under the table in the windows. It was horrible. I placed the order in the kiosk when we got the order it only have one drink on the tray (we were eating in) which was wrong! I asked the employee where our two frappes where she said you didn't order that. I clearly had my receipt with them on it. So she went back to the front and said our machine is broken it will be a few to fix it. After we noticed one of the meals was not on tray had to go back and get that. The food was not hot or good. How do you mess up eggs and sausage???! When we finally got the frappes they looked like chocolate milkshakes...see pics below. This McDonalds is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I don't normally write reviews, but it was so bad that I need to warn people. We did a mobile order of only two items and it took almost 30 minutes. The McDonalds was not very busy, but the staff was just not paying attention to the customers in the store. The staff was avoiding eye contact with customers that needed help. The only way we got our food was by calling the workers attention until they finally filled the order. Also, the whole store was gross. The floor was sticky and wet. To add to this, we ordered a sundae and a McFlurry, which we paid for but never received. The ice cream machine was broken, but they did not refund us. Never go here. read more

Had a bad experience here about 6 months ago. My 5 year old grandson wanted a boo box (kids meal) only place around. I got him a six piece Mc Nuggets, cause that's what I was told he liked. He wanted a hamburger, there was a lady that worked here on her break, she saw my grandson upset. She went inside and requested a hamburger and new soda (he dropped) be bought out to us. I asked her how long she had worked here. She holds up 3 fingers. Good for you mc Donald's your bringing back good customer service workers. My last experience here was just totally bad customer service related. May be they listened to the reviews and made adjustments, maybe my last visit the gal was just having a bad day. My visit here was entertaining to say the least. There was a homeless man in the parking lot practicing Kung Fu and yelling at the top of his lungs. Then he came inside and asked for a cup of ketchup,. A Cup not a package. The manager finally told him to leave the parking lot because after getting the cup of ketchup he returned to his David Carradine impression with a Kung Fun form. The manager told him again to leave and after spending 5 minutes fashioning his safety vest into a mask over his face, he finally walked away. You can't make this stuff up so you know its real. Hands down the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. We don't make fast food a habit, but when we're on the road, it's quick and easy. I'm a firm believer that if you don't steward what you have well, you'll probably not be entrusted with something more. We stopped here for lunch on a road trip. We were lucky to stop just after 11 am because we beat the lunch rush of other road trippers once we sat down with our food. Hubby, little one, and I made up our lunch party and sat down in the restaurant to dine. This location is close to the exit off of I-24. We ordered a Big Mac meal, quarter pounder meal, and a Happy Meal. The lady who took our order (I assume manager on duty from uniform) was very friendly and took our order quickly. When ordering I asked her if they had Happy Meal toys for 3 & under kids, but also told her if she didn't have any that a normal toy was fine. She checked and didn't see one so I told her again that a normal toy was fine. One of her employees (the man running the drive-thru window and the McCafe area) immediately volunteered to run to the back and check on the 3 & under toys. When I got to the table with hubby & little one after using the restroom, we had a small pile of several 3 & under toys next to our food tray (plus a normal toy in the Happy Meal box). We really appreciated their effort to go above and beyond for us. We ordered 2 customized sandwiches and they were both accurate. All of the food was freshly cooked (hadn't sat under a heat lamp long or anything) and hot. Now the part I hate to mention- we wish the restaurant was a little cleaner in the dining and condiment/drink areas. The table we chose was clean and the high chair we used was clean too. However, some of the tables in the back away from the front counter needed a wipe. The drink/condiment area was a bit messy too. The bathrooms were clean, which was nice. It was a holiday, so we thought they may have been slightly short staffed as to why there was cleaning waiting to be done. Even though it wasn't as clean as we would have liked, the quality, temperature, and accuracy of our food along with the impeccable service helped to overshadow some of the work needing to be done in the dining area. read more

Decided to try the kiosk which locked up and would not let you change the menu half way through the order process, we had to go and order at the from. The soft drinks were out and we had to go get drinks out of our own car. And pay for the cups and ice? The food was warm not hot. The fries were way over cooked. I know this is right off the interstate so they have no reason to care. But thIs is just one example of why McDonalds is losing customers. It is possible someone ordered one without cheese and you got them switched, but don't you have special stickers to help avoid that? And I was the only person in the drive through. More likely the cook forgot to put the cheese on, and somehow, probably through apathy, did not notice his mistake. This is why you don't deserve 15 an hour. This is a very bad example of what McDonald's should be. My son loves their food and this one is only a few minutes away. However, we have completely quit going to this one due to the rampant flies and horrible service. The drive thru usually takes at least 10 minutes AFTER paying at the first window. The employees barely speak and I have never received an apology for the long wait. The last straw for this place was a few days ago when it took 17 minutes to get food after paying for it.
