we've been here 30 minutes and have only got our drinks. there's only 3 workers and ONE cook on a friday night. they're exhausted & you can just feel the tension here. okay-- ended up leaving because we were there for 50 minutes and a group of 8 came in and they took their order before ours & we never got checked on. the MANAGER was only worried about her to go orders & online. then like 6 more people walk in so we just left. read more

This waffle house has the quickest and employees the best cook at night. The food is always fresh, quick and delicious. He cares about the food he cooks and it shows. No burnt hash browns here. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star Puddles of liquid on the floor Dunkin' donut bag on the counter where staff were sitting as well coffee grounds all over the counter Commode in women's restroom would not flush a #1 Sink drain in woman's restroom would not drain from just washing hands Coffee cup outside was dirty Orange juice room temperature But here is the real reason I am giving this review We walk in 1 man (in street clothes) at the high counter almost finished eating 1 woman (reflective vest over work clothes) at low counter about half way eating A middle age couple walked in just before us 2 employees on duty My husband and I They weren't busy is where I was guiding us We were greeted I decided I will just order a pecan waffle and juice with a water She takes the table before us a waffle with pecans dark and coffee, water coke and a hash browns dark and maybe added toppings not sure because my husband wanted to advise me what he would be ordering She gets to us for our drinks Him with coffee no cream, me oj with water Delivers our drinks advises she'll be right back with silverware Ask the guy down the counter if he needs more coffee (it was a "no") comes back and sets silverware excuses herself comes back and asks if we're ready. So far okay. Takes our orders turns them and flutters about Another man comes in sits at the counter I get up to wash my hands go #1 and wash my hands again and fear I won't make it out without water drenched shoes. I survive and apologize to the future guest that they may have to trek thru puddled waters in there and head back to the table and as I'm approaching the server advises we are out of pecan waffles and ask if I want a regular one and I say okay but the table before us received theirs and I am happy it's only me that didn't get one. A few more booths come in at the other end but so does another server carrying in a iced coffee from another restaurant. How do I know. Because she stopped server 1 from working to show her that they now recognize her voice in the drive thru and drew a happy/smiley face on her cup. Also another cook came in. Another table on our end and server 1 took their order and one them ordered a pecan waffle which they also received. 2 more servers come in So this is the 3rd time we have stopped at this location along our travels and the 3rd time I have been disappointed with this location. I get it staff is hard to find and in some instances impossible but this site has had issues for years and yes it's part of it but the table before and after me received the same that I ordered, the server 1 & 2 obviously had better things to talk about the new Dunkin' Donuts across the street then talking with their customers leaving the tips or pulling plates that weren't in use at said customers tables. We left a 5$ tip on a 20$ ticket and she didn't earn 2$ from her effort with us. We are low maintenance customers And the site was not in clean operational status This is food/server 101 And cook #1 looked like he was ready to leave and not come back And lastly - kindly ask your servers who want to wear all black to use a lint roller. Waffle House is one of my favorite roadside stops for breakfast and lunch, open 24-7!! On my travels, I've stopped at many Waffle Houses located near highway exits including this Waffle House in Jasper, which is very popular with the truckers and travelers alike and offers good not fancy food at reasonable prices. The Texas Bacon Melts served with hash browns and the Buttermilk Waffles with butter & lots of syrup are pretty tasty! Currently in 2015, they offer Fifteen Meals For $5 Each (includes beverage), which is a pretty good deal on the wallet including 8 Breakfast and 7 Lunch/Dinner choices. While driving along I-24 heading from Chattanooga to Nashville, I stopped off at Exit 152 and pulled into Waffle House for lunch. I sat myself at the counter and the waitress with a charming Southern accent gave me a regular laminated menu and took my drink order. I asked for a Diet Coke and requested the Fifteen Meals For $5 Each Menu. For lunch, I decided on Grilled Cheese, Regular Bert's Chili and a Diet Coke for $5 plus tax. The food came out quickly served hot. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich was basic and good, the bread was buttered and grilled nicely on the outside with melted orange American cheese inside, cut into 2 triangles. The bowl of chili was hearty which had plenty of ground beef and beans, slightly on the salty side. Saltine crackers, dill pickle slices and mayo served on the side. The service here was very friendly and efficient. I was given refills on the ice cold Diet Coke and the waitress even offered me a to go cup filled with ice cold Diet Coke, which was a "nice gesture custom" (of Southern hospitality) unheard of back where I live in New England. I usually top off my own fountain soda cups at fast food restaurants. I definitely needed the ice cold Diet Coke for my drive to Nashville in the 88 degree summer heat. read more

Stopped here for breakfast this morning and it was terrific! Kandice was our server and she was a sweet, tentative gal who provided great service with the southern hospitality I just love. I know that Waffle Houses typically don't get good reviews but this one is worth the stop. It was the cleanest one I had ever been in and while we were there 2 workers were washing the windows, which had looked good prior to being washed. Bathroom were clean too. It wasn't busy when we were there, guess we just missed a rush, but the workers were all busy doing chores, washing dishes, restocking and wiping things down. It is refreshing to see people take pride in there jobs and visit with customers. This Waffle House is worth the stop! read more
