I generally don't look forward to visiting McDonald's, but this one is exceptional. At my first visit, I was surprised at how clean and nice it is. While the food tastes the same, the preparation seems like more care is put into the food. The chicken sandwich looks like a normal chicken sandwich, and doesn't look like someone slapped it together and punched it before wrapping it up. I can't really speak to the service because we always order using the kiosks, but the food seems to come out quickly. We've been back a couple more times to dine in when we want a quick bite after shopping in the area. read more

I recently visited the McDonald's located at 1201 Lum Rd, Centralia, WA 98531, and had a mixed experience. The ordering process was smooth, and the person taking my order was super nice and helpful when I had an issue using the app. However, the experience took a turn for the worse when I got to the window to receive my food. The bag I was handed had a significant issue: the fries were not in the fry bag but scattered all over the main bag. When I pointed this out to the staff member, she responded with, "I don't know, we're kinda busy. Do you want another bag to put them in?" I declined, and she shut the window. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. Upon arriving at my destination, I tried to put the fries into the fry bag but found that the bag was pristine and unused. To make matters worse, I discovered a long piece of light-colored hair in the bag. This level of service is unacceptable, especially considering the prices go up so they can half-ass things for $15 an hour. I have attached some photos to illustrate the issues I encountered. This type of service makes me angry, and I expect better from a well-known brand like McDonald's. I would not recommend this location to others based on my experience. I eat here about twice a month. I use the mobile app to order because of the deals and points I earn towards more deals. My order is always accurate, hot and freshly made. The staff are always friendly and polite. I see people cleaning inside and the parking lots often as I drive by it daily. read more

Are usually enjoy going through the drive-through here at McDonald's in Centralia but, tonight I was totally insulted! I ordered the Hot Spicy McNuggets as it's a deal that they have going on right now for a limited time. I wanted to meal and the girl at the drive-through said that, We don't offer the Hot Spicy Nuggets as a meal combo." I let her know that I was looking directly at it on the reader board through the drive-through that it does come in a meal. She said, " Sir no it doesn't you are wrong!" I wants again let her know that I was looking directly at it and she said we don't have that in the mail once again! So I ordered it and added a large fry and large Diet Coke no ice. I took a picture of the reader board. As I drove up to pay I showed her the picture that I posted here on this review. She had the nerve to look me directly in the eye and once again said that we don't offer it as a combo meal. I paid her for the meal and as I drove up to the next window to pick up my order; Lo and behold I received a Coke rather than a diet Coke and of course it had ice in it! On top of it I paid close to nearly 1 dollar extra because of the young lady at the drive-through who took my order. Honestly, this is the crappy us customer service that I've ever received from any McDonald's. On top of that being called a liar is really great customer service! NOT!!!! But this particular McDonald's went above and beyond and put my Frappuccino in a large iced coffee cup, which is how it should be. If I'm paying $4.89 BEFORE TAX for coffee, it better be worth, the price and this right here was worth the price. read more

Beautiful McDonald's in Centralia. Clean, well organized and nice folks working here. Bathrooms are hi-tech with automatic dispensers and dyson hand dryers....sparking clean. The management takes pride in this location and definitely puts in the hard work to maintain it. I love the hustle here. This location deserves 5 stars. I can definitely and honestly say that those who write poor reviews about this location have a chip on their shoulder and live unhappily. I am giving one star because I ate hot French fries for the first time in a long time. Another star because the manager was very friendly and made sure she either gave you the to-go bag or served the tray to customers with a smile. The other star was because the bathrooms were very clean. Why three stars only, then? A customer complained that when she reached the counter to request a missing order of French fries the other staff member threw the French fries on the tray, so she was upset that there was no need to do that. It took her a while to explain it because English was not her first language, but the manager was respectful and patient. Then, the manager apologized and told her she would talk to the staff member. I think she should have had given her credit or the meal for free. This makes me so sad because everyone should be treated with respect and specially when you serve food to someone that will eat it inside. I noticed that this did not happen to the rest of the customers; their first language was English. I hope that the reason for that staff member to act like that is that she is unprofessional and not any other reason. read more

Totally customer service related on this review. If Possible to give -10 stars the mean nasty snake of an employee that took my breakfast order this morning deserves it. I normally have a pretty pleasant happy polite demeanor about myself but I encountered the absolute meanest most rude inconsiderate employee this morning I may have ever encountered in any capacity in any restaurant or retail establishment. It was around 730 this morning Tuesday, October 2. I went inside to place my order in person. A Hispanic woman ( and I'm using that term very loosely ) Took my order and treated me as if I kicked her dog was belligerent to her or just caught stealing something from her purse or came in wearing a shirt that said I hate all Hispanics. I honestly have absolutely no clue what brought out the nastiness in that lady but it was so over-the-top mean cruel nasty treatment I received from her I had to leave this review I hope a regional manager sees this and identifies who was on the payroll working this morning and either we transfer or fires her because she does not belong working at a place where customer service and being polite to people is a requirement She was approximately 25 to 30 years old Hispanic 5 foot seven or so maybe 150 pounds. I cant believe Mc Donalds refused to sell me a meal i have ordered 100's of times there before. I spoke with the manager and the Queen of the managers waved her royal hand and band my meal purchase stating there were no special orders allowed. All I wanted was 2 sausage egg and cheese biscuits. She told me they only come with bacon and no changes are allowed. I drove 24 miles (round trip ) to get the meal i have ordered 100's of times at that location. Most of my reviews at 4 or 5 star. I don't like to give bad reviews. If you really suck but you are kind or nice you still get 3 stars for trying if nothing else. But I am passionate about customer service. It would be over my dead body I give this McDonalds anything above a 1 star. They deserve zero. The woman working the register was either stoned or deaf. She screwed up two very simple orders and refused to correct them. We asked for the manager. Initially she refused and then disappeared for a while. Then a woman claiming to be the manager came up. My brother started to (quietly) explain how the person working the register got the order wrong. She literally told my brother to "shhhh..", holding up her finger to admonish him. If it wasn't so ridiculous it would be funny. The shift manager told a calm and quiet customer to shut up... and she refused to correct the order. Hummm, avoid this McDonalds. Bad behavior, no matter how endemic it is in the culture of the typical staff hired at this place, should not be rewarded. Lots of choices in the area. Burgerville, a local chain is just under the freeway. Try them. Anything is better than this place. The manager should be fired IMMEDIATELY as her behavior and practice of indifference is clearly filtering through her staff. read more

Pico guacamole, grilled chicken and artisan bun, Nice fresh bun, large piece of Romaine lettuce, cheese , chicken was moist but a little salty. However, when I ask for Mac sauce to be added on a burger, that doesn't mean I want it added to the wrapping and the bag as well. And if you're going to drench a burger in sauce, at least do a girl a favor and put napkins in the bag. We stopped to get drinks and use the bathroom. It's the weirdest McDonalds I've ever seen, with a big screen plasma TV, showing news, hung over a pseudo fireplace with wingback chairs and tables placed in a conversation formation. There are other weird touches as well, almost like it's a combination of granny's parlor and corporate MickeyD's. Sometimes when on vacation (or especially if you are like me and travel to Seattle at least once a month), you need to know where the best McDonald's is. Because sometimes that's all there is, or that's all you have time for, and McDonald's really isn't that bad if it is super clean and filled with nice people like in the commercials. And this is NOT a myth. You can find the occasional McDonald's that is LIVING THE DREAM. Here is one such McDonalds. New and spanking clean. Clean air, not sticky or greasy. Sweet teenage high school girls working the counter, wearing crazy makeup and big smiles. Big water cups (I absolutely hate it when a restaurant gives you a teensy water cup because they are grudging you not spending money on crappy sodas), best soft serve ever (and for a miracle the machine wasn't broken, which seems to happend about 25% of the time I visit a place in the summertime). And for the bonus round -- they made us a special affogato....a shot of espresso on soft serve. read more

We're on a road trip and stopped here because it was close to our gas station. We were greeted the moment we walked in and there was someone ready to help us use the new order kiosk and gave us some good tips. It was easy to customize my quarter pounder. They have one of the new Coke machines so I could get my Cherry Vanilla Coke, and they also have a standard drink machine which is great for my husband who got regular Coke and didn't have to wait for me to finish on the fancy dispenser. By the time we got our drinks and napkins and found a table we didn't wait more than a couple of minutes to get our food. Everything was great, exactly as ordered and the fries were really fresh and hot. Our food was brought out by the manager and she was friendly and stopped to talk briefly. The restaurant was clean and the ladies room was full of the newest motion detector faucets and Dyson hand dryers. It's a shame we live pretty far from here or we'd go back often. read more

Recently updated interior. I did enjoy before the cozy chairs by the tv, it felt homey. I think they still have the News playing on the tv, but they have remodeled and joined the contemporary style that many McDonald's have.
