There a couple weeks ago and blueberry pancakes w/compote were DELICIOUS! Hubby said country fried steak was good too!!

This place is like Cracker Barrel with class! Great food, excellent service, huge portions. Staff super friendly. Country atmosphere is charming. I would recommend it to everyone. read more

Service: 3-4: Busy on an early afternoon Monday. Hostess was present and then absent without seating anyone. Went to get more silverware while 3 families waited in a small area also for one to pay after the meal, though another hostess took suggestion to seat us and bring silverware Server was appropriately attentive, though said the meal add on chowder bowl was $5 or $6 and was charged menu price. Online menu showed $2 less on kids meals. Chowder: 4, would be middle ground in comparison to others - few clams, good base, and not full of potatoes. good portion for under $9. Pot roast: 5: wife said best has had - large b sized potatoes, carrots, onion on the side was just right, pot roast tender, gravy I thought was salty. 4 for price and serving size: Kids mini corn dogs and Kraft Mac & cheese(good portion). Fries were soft, applesauce homemade style, not liked by worker kid. read more

Absolutely THE BEST cinnamon roll I have had in years!!! Amazing food, excellent service!!! You can't go wrong stopping here!!!

Awesome food. Customer service was lacking. Waitress seemed irritated to be there. Which is disappointing. Been coming here for over 40 years. Staff should be more friendly and welcoming. read more

I stopped in for a Fair Burger special the other night and was impressed by the helpfulness and consideration of the staff. The food was pretty excellent, a double burger piled high with grilled onions, and the fries were plentiful and just right - crispy and flavorful. We used to come here many years ago when I was young, and I still enjoy the style and atmosphere. read more

Service was fine, nice staff. Food was not good. You'd think a place like this would have a gravy worth bragging but the biscuits & gravy were sub par. Very underdone hash browns. I had a club during breakfast hours (that was nice of them) the cheese they use is the most fake plastic type cheese. Some may like that. Would not return read more

Go here! Such a fun, ol fashioned country restaurant with a comfy atmosphere. Huge servings, fast and friendly servers and a fun country store to boot! Great place to stop on your way through town. read more

Country Cousin offers solid food, good portions and even better breakfasts. This wasn't the first time for me, but this is my first review. My friend got a huge veggie omelette, with country potatoes and a biscuit. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal. I got the French Dip with fries. It was tasty. Nothing "WOW" about it, but it was tasty. The fries were a bit on the soggy side. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a nice gift shop area with some fun tchotchke stuff. The restaurant itself does needs an update. It's kind of dark and dusty. Not necessarily dirty, but it's old and could probably use a good, thorough cleaning. The carpets look well worn. Solid 4 for Country Cousins. read more

Passing through the area and decided to pop in for a quick lunch. Overall had a decent experience. Would leave a 3.5 if I could. I had a Deluxe club sandwich and it was just fine. Nothing extraordinary but did the job of filling my empty stomach. Service was a tad slow but the server was nice as was the hostess. The vibe reminded me of Cracker Barrel, and they had some cute stained glass above some of the booths. Overall a fine experience. read more

Food was absolutely bland, burnt on the outside, raw in the middle...Waitress was extremely rude impatient and over bearing...Prices were out the ass expensive for the burnt on outside raw in the middle slop..Ate at this restaurant years ago and it was good then ...Terrible now. the food wasn't bad at all. I got french toast and no syrup was delivered to the table. the waitress was so busy I wasn't sure if it was forgotten or was just not part of the service. either way, she didn't stick around long enough to ask and I don't think I even saw her till the bill arrived. my wife liked her biscuits and gravy. the environment felt very loud and very crowded. probably not going back unless wifey REALLY wants to go back. read more

Made a recent visit and sat in the bar. Very cozy, with phenomenal service. I think our waitresses name was Kathy? She definitely knew her stuff. I so appreciate a waitress who brings extra napkins, checks on you regularly , so impressed! My husband had the Reuben and I had the French dip both, were great ! Fluffy Friendly seating! read more

Just to Clarify: This is a YELP review for Country Cousin in Centralia! When speaking to management about a refund that has not been refunded after 5 days, I was given the cold shoulder. She was harsh and non-empathetic over the phone. I was given the brush off and told that the issue would take hours for her to resolve and she is off work at 2pm (my problem how?). My daughters card was charged by mistake. My daughter is on a limited income with special needs. This amount is well over $100.00 and a real concern to my family. My question is this... It shouldn't take over 5 hours if your management team was working on the problem all along, right? Also, why haven't you been working on it? Lastly, why do I need to leave my name, phone number and transaction/receipt number without being asked first? Come on people, you have made YOUR MONKEY's, MY CIRCUS! read more

First came here back in 2008 or 2009 and I killed you not this place still looks the same with just a few minor changes but it's great to see the place is still up and running and man they give you big portions for the price, which is pretty good deal to me and the service is very kind And courteous always come to your table to check in on you. Very homestyle comfort food here and nothing tasted bad. I'm glad to see that the food still taste great after all these years and it's been going for 50 years now! read more

Toughest country fried steak ever. Plus more breading than meat. Greasy omelette. We had been warned by people we know, but thought we'd give them a chance. We will never eat there again. I would give them zero stars. read more

The interior is circuitous but nice. Staff was outstanding! Met a friend whom I hadn't seen in 40 years and we sat there laughing for almost two hours. Staff was attentive and supportive. Ordered an open faced roast beef - very tasty. Had enough left over for lunch the next day. read more

This place is a great spot to stop for a meal or snack between Portland and Seattle. The inside is standard with booths and tables on one side and a lounge on the other side with a small gift shop stuffed in the middle. But the food was great! BLT was toasted perfectly with a lot of crispy bacon. A little skimpy on shredded lettuce but was still good. The hot turkey dinner was a full plate of several slices of turkey, big scoop of mashed potatoes, dressing and a tiny cup of cranberry sauce. All smothered in turkey gravy! He inhaled it so must have been very good! Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely make this a stop again traveling back and forth. read more

My friend and I stoped here for a lunch on our road trip from Albany, OR to Seattle, WA. My friend has eaten here several times and enjoys their food. Food - I ordered the Pork Roast diner plate. The meat was very tender, moist and delicious. The cubes of potato & carrots were fork tender and also delicious. The slices of onion, in my opinion, were a little large but it was easy enough to use my knife to cut it in half. The gravy was delicious and not too thick. My friend ordered the pot roast sandwich. She said it was good. Service - the hostess guided us to our table and brought us our waters. The waitress/server took our order, brought our food and checked on us twice which is awesome. She also refilled my water once and offered to fill it again but I declined. She was very attentive. Ambiance - it is definitely an awesome step back into time place. I love seeing items that were used on the farms back in the day. It really set the theme. I absolutely loved the chicken print fabric that covered the light shades that were over the tables. The restaurant was very clean. Lots of open parking and easy access into the restaurant. The only downside to this place was there were no hand rails in the female bathroom stall. My friend uses the rails to help her stand up and there were none. read more

Amazing Americana food. We had a great time and the service was excellent. So glad we stopped by.

So much food!!! Huge portions for decent prices. They have the cutest little chickens outside and wood cutouts so if you are feeling silly you can take a pictures. Lacks a little flavor but you won't leave hungry. Inside is a little gift shop. Worth the stop in. They were busy and the waitress was attentive and great! The carafe for coffee was the best. The cinnamon roll showed up first. If I would have known I'd ask for it to be brought out after breakfast. read more

amazing food and drinks and vibe! Cutest chickens out front too! Tried the BLT and country fried steak.

I have had nothing but great food and experiences here at the Country Cousin! Located right off of I-5 at Exit 82, the Country Cousin serves delicious, comfort food at a very reasonable price. Been there three times: solo, with just the kids, and as a whole family. Each time I had superb and caring service (they're great with kids). As for the food ... so good. Down home cooking that fills you up. Some of things we've had that have all been good: Chicken Fried Steak and a Patty Melt (two of my favorites), Cheeseburgers, Mini Corn Dogs, Chicken Strips, Turkey & Potatoes Dinner). Come to the Country Cousin if you're in the mood for comfort food, friendly service, and a warm and no-frills atmosphere. It's perfect. I will certainly continue coming here. You should too. read more

As you can tell from the name, a country homestyle restaurant with "comfort foods" on the menu such as meatloaf, cheese curds, burgers. They do offer a veggie burger option. The ladies at the front door were smiley and friendly. Our server, possibly due to being in a rush, was a bit brusque, yet everything was accomplished as needed. My friend ordered the meatloaf, drenched in gravy, and enjoyed that. I ordered one of the salads and found it rather uninspired. Dessert was apple pie for one of us and berry crunch (cobbler) for the other. The pie slice was very generous. The cobbler was good - though it would have been nice to be told what the berry was going to be. Loved the decor, and they have a little shop, though it is pricey. Especially loved the rooster that crows when the door opens - a cute touch. read more

In the past year, I've been here at least three or four more times. I wish I had something positive to add, but I won't be coming back here again. The establishment has dim lighting for a reason. It's SO dirty. The last table we were sat at was next to a window that had flies everywhere both dead and living. My water glass had lipstick on it. I shutter thinking about the silverware. If that does not bother you, well good for you. The food is ok, my french toast during my last visit was undercooked. While sitting at the traffic light the other day I counted 6 employees out back taking a smoke break at the same time. Naw I'm good. Keeping the 2 stars for the gift shop. read more

Over the past 20 years, every trip we make from Seattle heading towards Portland we plan a pit stop here for friendly service and good comfort food. This place is pretty good for a local, country style restaurant. Reminds me of a Cracker Barrel. My wife, grandson and I stopped by for dinner after school clothes shopping at the Outlet mall. Our waitress was awesome. Personable. You remember us: my grandson was to embarrassed to say Uncle Dick . Thank you for being awesome. You will go places in life. My 11 year old had, well, the Uncle Dick burger. He loved it and my wife had a bite and called it awesome. I was not impressed but I am out voter here. Too many onions. But, it is popular! My wife had the summer salad. Fresh. Huge! I had, well, I was in the mood for, grilled cheese. Simple. Tasty. The fries are perfect. Make sure you get fries. The restaurant is a bit dated and I was a little cold. But fuck, I'm 59 and old guys say those kinds of things. I recommend you stop by for dinner. My wife and I are planning to come back some time for breakfast. read more
