Saturday @ 3:40 pm did the drive through for a Filet O Fish & Fries. 3 cars ahead of me and wait was forever. The woman (blonde) gave no customer service, no hello, no thank you, just rude. Told me the amount and threw the bag at me. Two employees across the drive through smoking cigarettes. Terrible. Fish sandwich was ice cold and frys cold and soggy. It deserves NO stars. There was a worker there that went WAY above and beyond! I didn't get he name but she offered to help me carry my large order out to my car and didn't act like it was an inconvenience. She said she was happy to help and that she could get her steps in . We had an order for 6 people with many add ons and take aways and they got everything correct! Is there anything below one star? This McDonalds has to be the worst one on the planet. You are one of the lucky ones if your order isn't screwed up. It's bad enough that McDonalds McNuggets are less that 50% actual chicken meat but when they sit around for hours they're so dried out you can't even eat them. McDonalds offer a sausage McMuffin for $1.00 but a sausage McMuffin with egg is $2.95??? You can get a dozen eggs for $2.95! Avoid this place, there's a SUBWAY next door. read more

Super nice staff. Helped me out when I was desperate for a car charging station. Soon official charging stations will be there but for now they let me plug in to a regular outlet because I couldn't get home. Hung out for a bit and had a Coke. Clean place and great people! read more

I usually don't complain about fast food chains but the workers here are very rude I get off work late at night the other night I went through the drive through after work around 1150pm the building was clearly lit up as they were open when I got to the ordering screen the lady just yelled we're closed and I said your online hours say 24 hours and then she proceeded to tell me that she didn't write that and she doesn't own the place in an extreme rude tone of voice. The food has definitely gotten better since the last time I've been here. Either the manager fired people or got them into shape, because before they couldn't care less. If you asked for extra pickles you'd get 2 at most, now you'd get at least 4. The service and staff has been much nicer since the last few times. Their staff didn't really seem to care at all about your food before but now they seem to care a little bit more. They have stepped up their game. :) read more

Well, I'm sure people are happy that McD's is in Alpine again (previously at Viejas Outlet Center). I am not a huge fan but do appreciate their dollar menu now and then. Wanting to get something quick before work one day, I went through the drive thru. I literally sat for 5 minutes by the speaker before I finally said "Hello?" a few times. Then the lady who got on was rude, as if it was my fault that she didn't see me or whatever. Definitely a bad first impression. I know that they just opened, so hopefully they'll work out all of those kinks! read more

Undoubtedly the worst McDonald's you could imagine! The employees are miserable, the service is slow, I have never been in a worst managed fast food shop in my life ! I ordered a shake, the ice cream was all over the outside of the cup, when I asked them if they could "please" wipe off the excess I got nothing but "attitude". I spoke to the manager, he is angry and could care less about customer service. My friend and I had a horrible experience at this McDonald's today. First, the ice cream machine was broken and we could not get a shake. Though milkshakes were advertised all over the store, not even an apology was offered. All the cashier said was "The machine is broken." Second, when I picked up our food, a young man who appeared to be the manager handed it to me with a ridiculing smart-ass grin, wishing me a "wonderful day" in a totally exaggerated, mocking way. As I was returning with the food to our table, I looked over my shoulder only to see the manager and the cashier clerk giggling and looking in our direction. Needless to say, neither of us felt comfortable finishing our lunches. We left after taking only a couple bites, feeling rather queasy about what might be in our burgers, which actually tasted "off". My friend witnessed the whole thing and agreed that we would never visit this McDonald's again. Interestingly enough, when I looked up this restaurant's address, the first hit was Yelp, which has this location listed with one star. Perhaps it's time for someone to look into how this franchise is being run and hire decent employees? I have also contacted McDonald's corporate offices and am curious whether they will get in touch with me. What a truly disgusting experience! read more

This will be short and to the point: Absolutely terrible service. I have literally been handed my food through the drive-thru window without it being placed in a bag. When I requested a bag, I got rolled eyes from the worker. A few other times, my food has simply been handed to me out the window: Not so much as a "Thank you." I don't expect to have my ass kissed, but simple politeness goes a long way, especially if one is hoping for a customer to return. Check the reviews, seems to be a pattern. Went by about 9 pm, lobby hours say they are open, they were not. Went thru drive through, long slow line and when I got to the window and asked why the lobby was closed the guy said he was not aware and it should have been open. Received order and drove to into parking lot to eat it and found I was given the wrong order, someone else's food. Went to lobby door but it was still locked and I was told to use the drive through which I had to do. After waiting in line again I reordered my meal explaining they gave me the wrong items. When I got to the window they had no idea how to exchange my meal, no manager or anyone that could figure out how to do an exchange. Wow! read more

Very dirty. Tables and floors. I had to move around to find a table that was not as bad as the rest. And this was at 8:30 in the morning. Had to wait to be served, one of the employees just looked at me as I stood at the counter and didn't call anyone to help me. Then someone came from the back to take my order. Food was just warm. Horrible! If you like to get ripped off on what you pay for, go to this McDonalds. For example, they like to only fill the fries half-way when you go through the drive-thru. If they were ever reported to the county's weights and measures department, they would potentially be facing many fines. read more

This location in Alpine California, 91901 is notoriously slow on service. This morning I ended up backing out of the drive through, along with three other cars because after 20 min. Waiting there were still three cars ahead of me before the order intercom. Sorry McDonalds. You lost a local customer for good this time. read more

Had an excellent experience at my local McDonalds in Alpine. I was not happy that this chain came into my small town because I had wanted to keep a "small town" feel in this area. But when I took my grandkids into the restaurant we received "small town" friendly service at its best. Not only was the stuff very helpful with my grands ( bringing us small ice cream cones and cleaning our spills) they also helped me get empty boxes. I thought they would send me out back ( if they had any) but Lauren not only brought them up front but offered to help me get them in my car when I was done eating. Very amazed how great this location is. Fast timely food ,clean, and great customer service. When I came in I was welcomed right away with a greeting and it made me feel comfortable there unlike other McDonald's that I have been too. The employees seem happy to be there and that puts a good impression to the customers. read more

The quality is trouble ... went through drive thur 2 weekends in a row and never again. Food is either over cooked or under cooked. English muffins hard and hash browns taste like fish. First, this restaurant constantly gets orders wrong... I wouldn't have come to Yelp for that, but then today I went thru the drive thru to get my kids some free kiddie cones. The drive thru worker took my order, and instructed me to pull up to the second window. I waited in their sloooow line, and when I got to the window, I waited there a couple minutes and then the "manager" came to the window and told me that I have to purchase something to get kiddie cones for free, that the drive thru worker just didn't know. Sorry but this has never ever been the policy. He argued with me for a bit and once I told him that if he wanted to enforce that as a policy he should have it posted somewhere, and by the way I make plenty of purchases... he told me not to talk to him like that, but that he would give them to me "this time," but next time I'll have to purchase something or pay for the free kiddie cones. I guess we won't be going to this store any more. Rude management, and this location actually makes you pay for extra ketchup. It's ridiculous. read more

The cleanest and most friendly of all the McDonalds I have been too! When they are busy they still manage to keep the lobby clean. When you order they all make you feel like you have been friends for a long time. I really appreciate the manager here now because the one before didn't care at all and was barely there. This new one helps on the floor and cares about the customer. They also seem to have decorations for Each season or holiday. I was just there and they have a "summer theme". All in all even if I didn't live in alpine I would drive here just because it's so much better then other ones I've been too especially greenfield McDonald's which is horrible. read more

This is my first time having an issue with this place. The customer service isn't always the greatest but never had an issue with orders or anything. Tonight I drive thru at about 11:20 and all the lights at the drive thru are on but no greeting as I waited for 5 min. So I pull around to walk inside ans doors are locked. I then leave and sure enough all the lights are off in the drive thru. If you are willing it just ignore me at the drive thru then just tell me over the intercom you can't take my order for some reason. I would understand closing early and grills already being off or something. Getting ignored just bugs me. read more

Nobody is expecting the world going to McD's. What we expect is fast food right?? Well why the heck does this place take so long to make microwave burgers? I'm always waiting for over 5 mins and that without a single person waiting apart from me. The last time I went I counted 10 people working, I ordered a simple Mcdouble and a big mac. 7 mins later I got it. Fast food does not take 7 mins without a que. Also the fries are salted so much that I can't eat them. Thats to much salt considering I love salt on my fries. Sort it out! read more

I would give this a zero star, but that's not an option. Tried to go yesterday to get an ice cream cone and there was a sign posted (that another reviewer took a picture of) that said the ice cream machine was down. So I left. Today I went back again, because I was craving some soft serve, and the same sign was up. When I asked how long it would take, the guy told me he had no idea how long it would take for the machine to go through the cleaning cycle. Don't know what's up with that, but I'm pretty sure I'd know how long it takes for a machine to clean itself. Definitely disappointed and in disbelief. Get it together McDonald's. read more

Honestly this is my only option for a McDonalds in the area but I'm tempted to start driving all the way to El Cajon. They always close far before their listed hours, one time an hour and a half early! And they always seem to "be out" of whatever I'm ordering (eggs, pies, the ice cream machine is off, etc.). It makes me sad because this is the only McDonald's that I have issues with. This is a problem and it needs to be fixed :/ read more
