This is probably the In-N-Out location I visit the most, and overall it gets the job done when I'm craving. The food is usually fresh and the service is good. That said, consistency can be a little hit or miss. Sometimes the burger comes out uneven - tomatoes all stacked on one side, patty sliding off to the other, and I'm basically rebuilding it myself at the table. One of the best burger places! The meat is fresh and not frozen prefabricated patties! They cut the fries right in front of you! Yes real potatoes! Quick service and friendly staff ready to take your order! It seems like an army work there but hey, they get it done! The place is always clean and never left a wreck! The only bad thing about this In n Out location is the line that ALWAYS snakes out into the street. It's truly a mess. It's actually faster if you go inside to get your burgers and fries. Otherwise, In n Out is always fresh, tasty, and as cheap a meal as you can get anywhere. And well, well, well...Lynsi Snyder, the billionaire owner of In n Out has apparently had it with California and is moving her family to Franklin, Tennessee. Franklin is a nice, pretty and upscale suburb of Nashville. I recently looked at housing in Franklin and loved the clean, clean area. Good move Lynds! In-N-Out always hits. My go-to order is a Double Double, protein style with whole grilled onions, ketchup and mustard instead of spread, with well-done fries and a Dr. Pepper. Sometimes I will spring for the animal fries if I'm feeling extra gluttonous. Unfortunately, this location in Lemon Grove Plaza has a terribly long line that can sometimes extend out of the parking lot, into the street, and all the way to the 94 freeway underpass. Location wise, wait times are pretty long and then seeing that dreaded drive thru line always makes me do a u-turn and pick somewhere else to eat. When I do decide to wait for In-N-Out it is almost always worth it! This recent visit they were out of ice and banana peppers when I dined in. Their burgers and fries remain consistent throughout the years of me ordering here. The workers are friendly although one of our orders was mistaken with a topping. It happens, but in the end they could never make me hate it here! There is not a lot of seating compared to its other counterparts in San Diego so do expect a few tables to open up if you eat here and of course a line for the drive thru. read more

In-N-Out Burger is a must stop when I'm visiting California. We stopped in for lunch before my niece dropped me at the airport for my flight home. We arrived at 11:30 AM, just before the lunchtime crowd. Our timing was perfect. We ordered right away and had our food in about five minutes. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything and fries and paid less than $7 (no drink). That's a bargain in today's crazy prices! My burger was fresh and delicious. And the fries were hot and tasty! This has to be the most ghetto In-N-Out Burger I've ever eaten food from. For starters, there's 2 entrances to the parking lot, neither of them very clearly marked, so my GPS takes me in through a back street, I'm from out of town, so I wasn't really sure where I was going. No big deal right? Wrong. We pull in, pull in line and this rent-a-cop comes out of nowhere and lets the drive through attendant know that we had "cut" in line. At least that's my guess when he pointed at my car and made gestures as to the direction we came in. So the drive through attendant comes over and tells us we need to "turn around and go to the other side of the parking lot to get in the correct line." Which meant going around and blocking a whole lane of traffic just to get a cheese burger. All this while being mean mugged by someone in a giant refrigerator box on wheels (Tesla). If you don't know what this location looks like, look up at least a photo of their parking lot, because they use half of it to filter their drive through and the other half can't even be used to u-turn a smart car, much less the large SUV we were driving. So lacking in actual answers as to how we were supposed to turn around, we lucked out with a parking spot directly behind us. Thank god Mr. Refrigerator box was able to get his food five seconds faster. To sum the rest of this up, we went inside, the food was mid, the place was grossly overpopulated, just like the rest of California. Next time I'll just get food from anywhere but here. Worst In-N-Out I've ever visited. Every In-N-Out has long lines and they usually make a concerted effort to effectively manage that. This store fails miserably and blames their customers. This particular store is located on an intersection, you turn right or left from the intersection into the shopping center and the In-N-Out, and the other side is a freeway exit, going straight into the shopping center. Like any intersection you take turns to go into the lot/line. I was coming off the freeway exit going straight into the shopping center and the In-N-Out. There's no indication of any segregated line, other than cars waiting to turn into the lot. No cones, rope etc. Mgmt needs to do a better job if they want to create a line as I've seen in many other locations. Don't waste your time at this store, the burgers are not worth it. The service is the same every time I go and this location is almost always busy. I've only gone through the drive thru twice because the location is honestly horrible in terms of space. We ordered a kids grilled cheese, animal fries, regular fries, and 2 double doubles with grilled onions. S as ALWAYS the staff was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the few visits we have had at this location have not been the best. The drive thru is frustrating as cars come from three different directions and the layout of the parking lot is tight, making maneuvering around that much more difficult. We gave up on even trying to go through the drive thru and resorted to going inside. But because this location is so close to SDSU, amongst other places, the crowds are often disruptive and rowdy both inside and outside. It doesn't bode well for a good atmosphere during dining. The service itself is solid, as expected from an In-N-Out, and the things that have made the visits so poor are more-so due to other patrons. The location does get a lot of traffic and so the wait times are a bit longer, but understandably so. Once you get your order though, you can expect quality food. read more

I have tried In-N-Out Burger four times in 10 years because I hear someone just raving about how good it is, but every time I go there, I find it to be disgusting and no better than a burger that you would microwave. To me, their fries tasted synthetic versus fresh. The staff was super nice and I actually went inside to place my order which was easy and we're at different food.
