We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. He told me he was 3 weeks out in production and they were ready in 10 days! I was super impressed with how quickly he was able to build them since they were truly custom cabinets. We asked for a good quality cedar steel post fence . Two weeks after the fence went up the pickets were bleeding, cracking and knot holes all over . After being ignored for a month by this company I went to the BBB He finally responded and his solution was to pay another company to come out and flip the pickets so my neighbors would now have the BAD bleeding side and also to replace the screws with coated ones. Why didn't he use the right galvenized screws to begin with? From the beginning I told Mr Alexander that we wanted the natural cedar look . His defense is because we didn't coat the fence that the cracks, knot holes and bleeding screws that he used was caused by us not coating it . Keep in mind It was raining the week he put the fence up and the screws bled within 3 days . He told us when building the fence to wait 3-4 weeks before coating to let the wood dry. Today in small claims he told the judge he told us to coat it right away even thought the wood was wet . We have two professional fence companies that told us this would not cause what was happening to the pickets . Our neighbor put his cedar fence up the same week we did and his fence still looks beautiful . He also said all of our pictures were not our fence . So I am providing a video of one of the sides and the back to show you our fence with the same pictures to match . The ones he said weren't our fence . We will have a verdict on the 28th of September . I am warning all good citizens of Hutto let my pictures and video speak for themselves . He charged us $7,200 for this fence that looks awful . He also put my neighbors electrical conduit in our back yard by mistake . He now has a negative BBB rating because the BBB didn't think his resolution of flipping the pickets was an acceptable resolution . I am sick with the lies this man told and I feel violated and out a lot of money. It is however my responsibility to make this right especially for my 3 neighbors who each gave me $500 towards the 7,200 I will have to fix this whether I win in court or not and I will fix it because I am a good neighbor .
