I came in today to purchase a couple boxes of wall tile and I approached an employee named Hope for assistance, she very rudely responded "ok" and radioed someone else to get it, when no one else was available instead of communicating that to me she proceeded to act like I didn't exist. She kept rolling her eyes at everything and acting very rude making the whole experience very unpleasant but she seemed to be very nice to the man that was in line before me. I generally love this place and other employees have been great in the past but I did not leave happy today. read more

We were shopping at Floor and Decor for tile for our bathroom renovation and had some questions. Luckily we found Eddie! He dropped everything he was doing and very happily walked us through the process. He also helped with understanding why a particular tile was half the price we expected. Ends up it's being discontinued. Eddie helped us get a discount for that tile. Within minutes, Eddie had everything scanned (3 different tiles) and ready for us. The guy is here were absolutely wonderful and super helpful when I was choosing my floors. I must say that pick up was a hot mess and they have a phone system that does not work so when I try to call to schedule a pick up, I could not and I was on hold for over an hour. I had to pick up from two different locations and could not schedule my pick up so once I arrived to get the material , it took way longer to check in the materials since they were not ready. I asked if they could call the second store so they would be ready for pick up upon me arriving, but they said they could not in the front. Floor and Decor has a very good selection of tiles, laminates, and wood products. While the people on the floor are helpful in finding your way around, the design center is useless. First the people won't help you, just a, I'm busy, and off to their office. Try to match a counter sample to a floor tile in design center and one will come out and yell don't take sample out of the design center. I asked the lady if the sample designs were considered in the design center and she finally said yes after hemming and hawing. No answer to my question, so what's the problem then? I don't know, maybe she was having a bad day, but I don't want to come back to this store. read more

If you are a completely self-serve type who knows your way around tons of flooring and tile, then you will probably be fine here. I, on the other hand, wanted assistance. Scene: I walk in to see 3 employees chatting it up at a cash register. No one acknowledges me EVEN THOUGH I WALKED IN WITH A WOOD FLOOR PLANK in tow. I interrupted their chat and told them I was hoping to match the plank I had so I can replace 4 rooms of carpet. The lady looked at me like I was stupid and pointed around the store telling me that I could go down any of these aisle (as she motioned from one end of the store to the other) to see if I could find what I was looking for. To which I asked...can none of you HELP me so I at least go to the right products? Reluctantly one of the dudes rolls his eyes and walks me directly to the aisle that had my type flooring. I found an option but no chance I am buying there. I've committed my $15,000 reno to a more helpful, customer focused business down the street less than a mile away. SO, if you prefer to wander aimlessly looking for what catches your eye, this store is for you. If you want actual help, not reluctant help, go somewhere else. EDIT- Sal the manager reached out and was super nice and asked for more details so that this could be a training opportunity. He was apologetic and I appreciate the follow up. read more

DO NOT RETURN ITEMS HERE, THEY WILL REJECT YOU. This location is NOT abiding by its own corporate rules. I tried to return several samples. First off, the cashier Jenny gave me a hard time not having a receipt, which is ridiculous because they operate by phone number and when you scan the computer does everything (looking up all your orders to make sure you bought the item). One great thing I like about Floor & Decor. Even associates from other stores told me all you need is your phone number and you have 90 days. Secondly, if you tile does not scan on their smart phone, they tell you right way, "Sorry, its been discontinued" we dont take back discontinued items, EVEN THOUGH (1) I had only bought these things 2 or 3 weeks ago (2) the item and it's SKU is still on the display and (3) nowhere on the display does it says, 'this item is discontinued'. Another associate came back and helped her scan and backed her up. I ended up throwing away very expensive demo tiles. I had other tiles to return when I finally completed my project. I walked into the store on Pflugerville, to my surprise they took back everything. I told the cashier, "your new store on Cedar Park gave me such a hard time". Right off the bat the 2 associates told me "oh yeah, dont return there. We get it all the time, people end up coming here for returns. This is a new store and I dont know who's running the show and if it's just a new manager they hired off the streets, but they are not following their own return policy you can see on the corp website. read more

The first time I went to Floor and Decor, I was so overwhelmed by the number of selections that i was on my way out of the store when someone told me about the free design services. I made an appointment with Judy and she was great. I met with her three times and she helped me pick my vinyl floor, kitchen backsplash, bathroom floor, shower wall tile, shower floor tile, and grout colors. I had to write a review about the awesome experience I had in this store on Saturday! I was a little nervous at first when 4 associates walked by me without saying anything, but then I met Preston! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. I showed him the product I was looking for and he instantly knew where it was and had some smart questions/help on how best to use it in the space I was considering. After that I asked for his opinion/help with some tile for a shower remodel and he had the PERFECT suggestion. We had looked at SO many tile samples and not found what was just right, but Preston nailed it in less than 5 minutes. Definitely has a great eye for design!! After that Preston got everything loaded for me and brought up to checkout where the fantastic Dawn was ready with a friendly smile and helpful attitude. I had a current or former employee Troy Germany of Floor&Decor in Cedar Park, Tx we hired to restore our floors at ourHOME. Beware if he approaches you...don't allow him to sale his services. He is not good! HE SUCKS!!He has compromised his integrity and promises to us. We paid him very well and now has not returned to fix loose tiles on our floor. I have text him and called him but no answer at all. He has a nicknames "5 Star Troy", I say half-star Troy. Not worth mentioning as a true professional. He is the most untrustworthy person I've ever seen and why does F&D hire such untrustworthy and unprofessional people is beyond me. If he is employed there---F&D should not allow employees to freelance and sell their services on the side. Troy Germany... remember his name, is not a good person and should be arrested for stealing from us. We paid him well...he is a CON ARTIST person who tricked us in order to get our money. read more
