Cascade Custom Pools - 2024-1

Cascade Custom Pools

Our experience with Cascade was professional and went above and beyond out expectations during the…read moreentire process, including pool maintenance support after the project is done! Shane worked with our wishlist, budget, and backyard to come up with a custom design that was more than we dreamed of. We got estimates from other companies, but the designs were generic and did not fit our yard and house the way Shane's did. Shane had great ideas and concepts that he worked with to create a perfect design. We started wanting a pool only, and by the end we had a beautiful covered patio that extends our outdoor living space into the pool decking. The construction process was just as smooth as the design. Communication with Shane was always prompt, thorough, and professional. He returned every call within less than an hour, and answered all of my many questions. He kept us in the loop on every step, and let us know what workers would be at the house and when. There were a few minor issues/changes during construction and Shane was helpful in fixing the situation. The solutions we agreed on were even better than the original design! At the end of the process, we were very happy that we went with Cascade. We are constantly stopped by our neighbors to compliment us on the beautiful new addition. The construction process went as smoothly as possible and we ended up with an amazing finished project that my husband and I enjoy every night. Cascade goes out of their way to make their customer happy and puts all of the finishing touches on their product to make it stand out!

I met Brent and his fellow woodworker some time back while I was making my debut at their sawmill!…read moreAll I was looking for was some sizable scraps so I could learn about some of the local lumber supply and teach myself how to pi-diddle with rough hewn materials before I went full-bore on more advanced lumber. I absolutely hit a vein directly of pure humane gold with these guys! They were so awesomely kindhearted and absolutely amazing craftsman who dealt patiently with my limited knowledge! They didn't have an ounce of pretense about themselves, their skills, or nothing, except for their inherent pride in the work they provide! These are everyday good people; hardworking, straight up and straight forward! I was so happy, impressed, and grateful for meeting and doing business with them that I even turned back around and brought them a six-pack of cold IPA beverages to help them end their day! I'm looking forward to seeing them again soon! BTW, they've got a massive collection of felled trees that came via Mother Nature's hands rather than having to harvest them from forests, or mega-brands, etc. Mighty impressive stuff! 5 jalapeños!

After pulling them from the ground and setting them aside, we realized we could see about repurposing them. Low and behold, Texas Urban Sawmill came out to our ranchette, loaded them onto their special truck, and hauled them off to Texas Urban Sawmill. As requested, they sliced each tree trunk longways in about 2 1/2 inch boards/slabs. They are BEAUTIFUL! After we let them airdry on our property for about two years (Devin explained every detail on how to do it) we are hoping to make some furniture, including a live-edge dining room table. If we find we are not skilled enough (we've never made one before) or just want a more professionally made table, we will definitely take a couple of the slabs back to Texas Urban Sawmill to have them make it. If you want your trees repurposed, be sure to call Devin and the Texas Urban Sawmill. He is very professional and easy to work with. He might even give you a tour of his "shop" including the huge sawmill. It is awesome!

5 star Architect for a reason!…read more Daniel has an architectural approach that I believe people will find very rare and refreshing these days. He is very giving of his time, knowledge, and is the most collaborative of the 3 Architects we have used on the 2 other custom homes we have built. As an example, even before we signed a contract he made multiple site visits to give us his friendly professional insight about several lots we were considering before we selected the property we ultimately purchased. He was extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Collaboration is his priority from the beginning and he made it very convenient through the use of screen share as we designed the home together. We were really impressed with the architectural 3D model that Daniel created. It was amazing that we were able to have a computer-generated 3D model to visualize the complete exterior as well as the outdoor entertaining, outdoor kitchen, and the pool and spa area. We were able to have the majority of our meetings in the evenings after we got off work and we even did a screen share to collaborate on our laptop while we were out of town visiting family. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about both the architectural and contractual aspects of building, but he seems to have a great instinct for what the client is looking achieve. He also had the desire to study alternatives and create several layouts that might make the most sense for the lifestyle we described. Our custom home is amazing and we would definitely recommend him to our friends. We enjoyed the process of the architectural design of our custom home and even more surprisingly we enjoyed the building process that is often stressful. Instrumental in our smooth building process was Daniel's custom home building budget that he accurately laid out from the beginning giving us many options and associated costs. Daniel's project management and selection of the builder really took confusion out of the process and stress off of our lap. Other critical details that made build successful was his guidance and assistance with the interior design, kitchen, and bath design, and selection of all of our interior finishes and fixtures. Our kitchen and bathrooms really stand out with exceptional design and we are very grateful for that. All in all the 3% that he charged to be a complete steward of our project was an easy decision. We will definitely be using him in the future and so will our friends that are very impressed with our the result as well as our highly detailed and accurate design and building process.
