Love these estate sales, always my favorite to shop! They have plenty of people working who are always kind and ready to help you if needed. They are fair with pricing and it's always well organized. I love how they put a ton of photos and information on the posting and they update as items sell! I appreciate that so much, leaves a lot of the guessing out of shopping a sale. They always remember a face and quickly learn your name if your a repeat customer! Every time I go I hear them call customers by name! They genuinely seem excited to see you and that is impressive in this business! read more

UPDATED AGAIN****** I never said they didn't apologize. When we arrived there was a kind gentleman that was apologetic and had a nice discussion with us. We even purchased a couple small items and left. The problem here is it should have been left alone at that. However it appears someone went home and saw the reviews and comments left on Facebook and then blocked me from their Facebook, removed my review from Facebook and continued to take it further by texting me again at 10pm at night. It's hostile behavior. And it's very clear from seeing my reviews and the texts attached now miraculously they have 5 star reviews and someone again attacking me. All because this business that should be professional went home and got in their feels after reading my reviews that were honest. Please stop attacking me and being hostile. As we watch them continue to rally their friends to up their 5 star fake ratings. ***UPDATED**** They had the audacity to text me at 10pm to tell me the exact response they listed here on this review. Telling me the back story has nothing to do with why they didn't text not only me but others the info for the sale. Facebook where I tried to reach out the day of the sale others commented saying they didn't receive the info as well they have since blocked me. Google review they have others listing 5 star reviews now to push mine down. They offered no options as stated. Not any. Nothing was offered. We weren't rude either. At no time did anyone ask us to leave if anything an older gentleman was making jokes with me and another older gentleman was very apologetic. There was a rude lady handling the cash but again we weren't rude to her. We were respectful and kind. The question here is I obviously struck a nerve to have this company send me texts at 10pm and block me on Facebook for leaving a review and factual events that took place. So I repeat please do your research before doing business with them. Rope a dope sales ploy , showed up to purchase vehicle which was main page of there webpage for the estate sale , start of sale after waiting 45 minutes in line and traveling over half an hour to see vehicle , sales person stated on porch to customers in line , oh by the way we have a bid from covert Cadillac for over 20k so we're starting from there , funny thing is I didn't see covert at the sale !!!!! read more

6/19/25 Unfortunately, this was the first and worst estate sale we've ever been to with this company (we've been to plenty of other estate sales, but this was our first time with Remember When). It was hot, unorganized, and crowded ( granted, we knew it was the first day of the estate sale and understood that first days can be a bit more crowded than half-sale days) Online, it stated that it would open around 10 AM, so our family arrived around 9:45 AM, knowing there would always be a line at the start. However, what we did not expect was the 1 hour and 30 minute wait in line just to get into the house. They were letting in only a few people at a time ( 2-6), but it seemed that no one was really coming out, and any time people would come out or in, they would slam the door pretty hard in people's faces. It was hot, people were sweaty, and complaining. One of the families in front of us asked one of the employees if they could get some air, water, or anything like that since it was so hot, but they just told them to wait a bit more, that they would let them inside soon ( the mother had 2 kids with her) . We could have left within that time frame, but we kept reminding ourselves that we were so close to finally seeing if there was anything inside. Once we finally got inside, we looked around and saw the prices. Some things were priced fair, but other items were priced way high, like a Gucci box ( it was empty) for around $25- $30. I gathered 2 mugs, a small leather notebook, and was ready to check out. In the living room, I found the end of the line, but after 10 minutes, the line barely moved, and I realized why it was taking people so long to leave the house with their things. The line not only started in the living room, but it also went around a small room next to the front door then you were able to check out where there was only 1 cashier. At that point, I was tired, my family went to go sit in the car, and there were way too many people that I decided to put my items back and leave. It's one thing to wait in line to get into the house, but it was frustrating to wait again in another line just to check out the few items everyone had. read more

Remember When ran our estate sale a couple of week ago and I can honestly say that we were more than pleased with their operation and the entire Remember When team were friendly and very knowledgeable. We were overwhelmed with the mountain of items we had in the house but Amanda, Cody and team took charge and made this a worry free experience for us. I arrived about 30 mins after the sale started and there were about 60 people waiting in line outside. I waited for about 30 mins so it wasn't too bad. The staff was nice..but the pricing? Outrageous! I brought my son and he kept asking for certain toys but I had to say no because they were way too expensive for being old, used toys. Stuffed animals were $10 for a normal size stuffed animal with a stain on it. There was a box of small toys and we got 3 toys and I assumed they would be $1 each and they were $4 each?? Just everything I looked at was way too much. I sat everything I was thinking of buying on the holding shelf and was going to go back and ask how much each item was, but when I came to get my stuff the lady had already added up everything so I wasn't sure what she charged for each item. She charged way too much on the items that weren't priced but I just didn't want to deal with it because it was so busy and crazy so I just paid it. When I went to go checkout, a customer in front of me was getting her things added up and the lady tried to charge her $8 for a flimsy old, clearly used foldable fabric box. It should have been a dollar. That customer ended up putting most of her stuff back because she couldn't believe the prices either. People come to estate sales expecting a deal but I feel like I got gypped. read more

Every time I have been to one of their estate sales, Karen has been extremely rude! Her husband on the other hand is friendly. If you went to deal with someone feeling put out to answer any questions you might have at an estate sale, then go there. The prices are overpriced even for EBay. The elderly woman that works for her is very kind and accommodating. Even her cashier seems like she's put out (must be related). If you don't want to deal with people, than get out of the customer service industry. read more

since 2011 I visit their sales...... This ENTIRE team has always been consistent in cleanliness, organization, and professionalism. They also have always made it a point to remember me by my name along with many others! This company seems to drag unsold junk from house to house under the guise of 'estate' sales. After waiting in line for over an hour (because company was too under-staffed to let a normal number of people inside at a time!), I was out of there in less than 2 minutes and bought nothing. Went to a local estate sale today here in Austin. Upon entering, I noticed the employee wearing a "Cowboys for Trump" hat. I immediately left the sale. Called the sale organizer, Karen, and expressed to her that it was unprofessional of her to allow her employees to be wearing political items at an estate sale that is open to the public. She immediately began belittling me, calling me names and then proceeded to pass the phone to her husband David. David told me to "come through the door of our sale and say it to my face" regarding my complaint. He then threatened me with bodily harm if I ever go to one of their sales again ...which I won't be. Karen and David are simply the best! They made what I believed to be an impossible task look easy, and the result far exceeded our expectations. They took a lifetime accumulation of stuff and organized and arranged it all in a very appealing and logical way. They have experience, and it shows in the results of our sale which exceeded our expectations. I know our successful sale was due, not only to their experience (you can't surprise them, they've seen everything and solved every problem many times before your sale!), but also to plain old hard work, being trustworthy and honest. I am sure they are great to shop with, but dealing with them as a neighbor to the house they are working in, it has been a total nightmare!!! None of the neighbors were informed of any estate sell going on. People are parking in front of our driveways and walking through our yards. I am the landlord and owner of the real property when an estate sale is due to take place. When I called with concerns about how the sale will be conducted (and I spoke reasonably and politely), Karen got very nasty and would not speak with me about any aspect of the upcoming sale. She did not even attempt to be polite. I will repost another review after the sale, with a detailed description of how the sale was conducted and how I was treated in the process. I have always appreciated the professionalism and top-notch quality of the way they run their business. David begins every sale by informing the customers to the expectations and overview of that particular sale. He offers to answer any questions and reminds and asks everyone to conduct themselves with the respect and curtsey that the homeowner deserves. Karen and her husband came to assess my parent's home. They were right on time, personable, and helpful. They explained we were not a good candidate but they gave us a strategy and recommended resources. I highly recommend calling them first. There appear to be a lot of odd fellows in this industry who are unprofessional, greedy or have a poor bedside manner so to speak. Avoid that and call Karen. They are busy so you may have to persist at first but I believe that is because that when they are with their clients, the people they are working with have their 100% full attention. read more

I called several companies to come out and provide me a quote. One never returned my call. Blue Moon came out and turned me down, stating there was not enough "High End" stuff but Remember When came out and really impressed me. Very professional presentation and it was obvious that they knew their stuff. They conducted the sale and realized more revenue than they had originally anticipated and we had a check within a week. And, everything was left clean and organized so we could come in and do a garage sale for the final left over stuff with almost no effort whatsoever. I highly recommend them. read more

I've attended two lovely estate sales by this company now and am very impressed with how they run things! They take detailed photos which are posted several days in advance on EstateSales.net and make their policies very clear. I am an early bird, so i usually go wait in line for a bit before they open so I can be one of the first ones in. They give a small speech before opening each sale just to tell a bit about the home, the family, etc. I love the homage to the homeowners because after all, we are perusing someone's home. I really appreciate them making the connection for us customers. The last sale i attended in Dripping Springs was really well put together, they even let us in a tad early because it was cold outside. The staff is very sweet and helpful by keeping holds for you while you shop and making suggestions for items you may like or upcoming sales! We had a great experience with Karen and David and our sale. Our goal was to sell everything in our home so we could rent it and travel. Karen and David were friendly, and open about their process, able to answer all questions forthrightly and from experience. They spent several days working on display of items and doing a great job researching pricing. I felt they worked hard to get pricing at the sweet spot, attractive to customers but with attention to the value of each item. They had plenty of staff supervising during the sale and we felt fine leaving our home with them. I don't have a dog in this fight. If I did, he probably wouldn't like you. I heard the reaction from the poor lady when you called her a "C***"! I heard her husband when he took the phone from her and invited you to return to the house to discuss it. He never threatened you. He invited you to come out from hiding behind your phone. Absolutely horrible. We bought an item that was too big for us to haul away the first day. They said we can pay for it now and come back later to pick up. So we paid for it, let the gentleman know we payed it and he wrote sold. We can back the next day to pick up only to find out they had double sold it to someone else. We live 40 minutes away so it was a waste of drive and extremely frustrating. They pinned it on us for not leaving our phone number but how were we suppose to know that is the system they use? They should have asked for our number. Will never participate in an estate sale for them again. read more

Karen and David were an amazing blessing to my family during an unexpected difficult time. My parents called me weeks before Thanksgiving to tell me the house we grew up in, that they had lived in for over 30 years, was going to be foreclosed. You can imagine the amount of stuff there was after 30 years. On top of that, my dad owns his own construction and remodeling business so there were multiple sheds on property filled from wall to wall of tools and building supplies. The task of sorting through everything on top of the emotional support my parents were needing was more than my siblings and I could handle. On top of that they live in a more remote location so traffic for an ordinary garage sale has never panned out to much of anything. I knew an estate sale was the only thing that would make sense but after making a few calls it was very discouraging to hear that most places wouldn't consider their sale either because of the location or timeline (soonest they could get us in would be the spring) or both. I called Karen and she miraculously happened to have a December date available for us. The week before Christmas! Most companies weren't willing to work over the holidays. To say Karen and David helped us along the way would be a gross understatement. They went above and beyond in helping my parents sort through what would be worth selling, to bring traffic out to their house, and treated my family as if they were their own family. They wanted to hear about the story of the home and it's belongings so that they could share with the customers as they shopped so that it wasn't just about the dollars. They truly were looking out for the interests of my own family. My parents have a bit of a hoarding issue but David and Karen came in and cleaned the house to a point that I had NEVER seen it before. It was amazing how presentable everything was the first day of the sale. My mom walked through and just kept remarking that it looked like a little boutique or shop. This process is almost never under easy circumstances. Having my parents around during the clean out and pricing just multiplied how complicated it was emotionally yet Karen and David handled them with such patience and grace and made the best of a difficult situation. In the end my parents were pleasantly surprised with the amount they were able to recover from the sale. I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone looking for help with their own estate sales. read more
