I've had two separate trucks damaged by TimberTown's forklift operators while picking up materials. The first time, TimberTown accepted responsibility and paid a body shop directly. Shawn, the general manager at the time, assisted with that process and I'm grateful for his help. Unfortunately, the second incident has been nothing but deflection, denial, and frankly--disrespect. After the most recent damage, I submitted photos, repair estimates, and every piece of documentation their upper management requested--including trade-in paperwork after the truck was sold. Instead of taking accountability, TimberTown leadership accused both me and a third party (Covert, the dealership I traded the truck to) of fraud, simply because I followed through on what they originally asked me to do. Most offensively, they accused the sales manager at Covert--someone I've never even met or spoken to--of helping me fabricate paperwork. This person was simply trying to help me provide TimberTown the documents they requested. I've been trying to get this resolved since Fall 2023. This morning, I emailed Josh Clinksales, TimberTown's CFO per his email signature, to request that all further communication take place via email or text, as I was tired of phone calls where I was repeatedly accused of fraud. Minutes later, Josh called me directly and said: "Christian, I've talked to upper management. Do whatever you have to do. We're not going to fix or pay anything." That was the final word. This is not a miscommunication. This is a company choosing to ignore clear evidence and deny accountability, even after a repeated history of damage. I've spent thousands of dollars at this store--more than what I'm even requesting. I took a loss when I traded in that damaged vehicle because TimberTown refused to do the right thing, and I was left to cover the cost out of pocket. I'm posting this review, along with photos from both damage incidents, so that other contractors and customers know: if something goes wrong at TimberTown, you may be completely on your own. Even if they ask for estimates, receipts, or documents, it may lead nowhere. A full renovation is pretty much the most miserable experience imaginable. We didn't need just paint...we needed every wall moved, plumbing, electrical, roof....and deck. Surprisingly, the deck was one of the first things we needed to get going. We made a trip out to TimberTown to learn about decking materials...and that we did. The TimberTown team was absolutely incredible. They never made us feel ignorant (which we were) but provided such incredible information and stayed close enough for us to ask questions but avoided hovering too close...it's a delicate balance and they've perfected it. We're building a big deck and these decisions were important if we wanted to keep an eye on our budget. We were pleased to see options that we could afford without sacrificing quality or beauty. Not exactly what these guys' specialty is, but I came by for some lump charcoal and grilling/smoking supplies and they were very friendly both on the phone and in person and had good prices. Surprisingly the cover I was looking for was cheaper here than on Amazon and there was a good selection of accessories for my cooker as well. A bit out of the way, but solid prices and they let me know about a cookout that they do for customers and within a day I had received a call with the time and an invitation to it as well. read more
