First meal after dealing with the complete annihilation of my guts , I chose this place.. a place that refers to themself as a deli.. this is not a deli..so here is what we ordered French dip and added horseradish sauce: this was a stack of overcooked roasted . The bread was soft , didn't appear toasted . I ordered Mac n cheese. , reheated soft dry Mac n cheese.. pickle . Best part of my meal Black angus club: sandwich bread was toasted but not used after toasted. From all my years in the industry , they toasted it and set it aside to fill an order. Potato soup side; old soup, not worth eating it. Tasted rancid Kids turkey sandwich: again, old toast with a slice of dry turkey. Mac n cheese... daughter, loves Mac n cheese but don't touch this ... she took a bite of the sandwich and never went back... Sad, I've read so many reviews complimenting and saying so many good things... the last few reviews were ehhhh. Don't get caught up on positive reviews.. Walk in one of our favorite restaurants, McAllisters, at 11am. Location 89 opens at 10:30. The place looks disgusting and unclean. Did the night crew not do their nightly duties? Did the morning crew not want to correct it for the customers? Ordered and was told they were out of one the items for what we ordered. We asked them if we could substitute and they said "I don't think so". She kept pulling her hair back. Not very good food safety. Then, two girls walk in, clock-in, and go right to work. Waited 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches... which were $35. they gave me (a pregnant woman) COLD, like ice cold, deli meat when I ordered a cooked sandwich. Forgot our pickles, and didn't speak hardly any english. we asked for them to warm up my sandwich so I could eat it, and they threw it away and gave me another sandwich with cold meat.. I give up. They accidentally charged us 10 dollars for a soup instead of 5 which is should be, when we asked for the refund, they said they had no manager on shift and could not give us money back and we had to pick a sandwich instead. This was a decent deli style place. The food was decent, but the soup was maybe saltier than I'd want, but soup from restaurants often can be. I had the potato soup and a chicken sandwich with a peach Chipotle sauce on it...the sandwich was really cool and delicious. The chicken was sliced thin and layered. But the sauce was the real winner. It tasted exactly as the name suggested! All in all, not bad. Service? Pretty good. But the staff were talking and two members talked to a guy who used to live in MD and stated that Maryland was full of violent crime. The ridiculous thing about this is that the violent crime rate is about 4.5/1000 people in MD...but 6.2/1000 in TN. Sevier County even has a violent crime rate of 5.6/1000 people. Solid sandwich shop across from a steakhouse that's likely to have a long line, and this is where you turn to. The fillings are packed into the center of the sandwich so the ends are just dressing on bread, but I did like the option of steamed broccoli as a side to feel healthy on vacation eating out constantly. We don't have Mcalister's where we live so had to try this deli. We had the chef salad,  southwestern cobb salad and the chicken tortilla soup. The soup was excellent and came with a small bag of tortilla chips. The southwest cobb salad was suppose to have "poblano and black bean relish"  There was no relish in it and literally had two black beans in the salad (yes two beans lol!)   It was still a good salad and loved the chipotle dressing. My husband said there was hardly any ham or turkey in his chef salad. He was angry and tossed it. Even though my salad was missing ingredients I stilled liked it.  The unsweetened ice tea was excellent.
