We loved this!!! The staff was so welcoming and friendly, it really is iconic. Service was fast. The newspaper menus and vibe inside gave us the Disney world drive in restaurant vibes. The chicken covered in gravy I had was delicious!! The fries were phenomenal. I'm still talking about the chicken the next day, that tells you it was good. * note you need to call ahead and reserve the car table if that's what you want.

Typical diner food, great place for pictures and people who like the retro aesthetic. Prices aren't too bad for a restaurant in pigeon forge. Our server was nice but it did take about 20 min for someone to realize we had no server.

This is a cute little themed 50's style diner. A couple tables are made to look like you're in an older car. We unfortunately came at a time when they were all taken. The food was actually really good - great biscuits and one of the best country fried steaks I've had! You can even order a milkshake with your breakfast if that's your thing. There's a cute little front shop that has candy and toys from years ago for purchase. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovedd the vibes and atmosphere! It really gave diner vines with the old, classic booths, music, and decoration. The food was decently priced considering that it is a high tourist spot and I ordered the patty melt. The food was pretty good, but my patty melt did feel a little dry, which was solved with ketchup so that was fine. I also ordered a milkshake, which I am glad to have tried to really dig into the diner feel, but I would recommend sharing with a friend because it was huge. The employees are super nice! We had a mistake on our order where the wrong side was given and they let us keep it! They were also really nice with accomidating our dietary restrictions and when giving recommendations.

Walking into Sunliner Diner truly feels like stepping back in time. From the moment you walk in, you're transported straight into a 1950's diner experience, full of nostalgic details and classic American diner vibes. Thankfully, we were greeted and seated right away--which was perfect because we were pretty hungry after our drive to Pigeon Forge (hence the lack of food photos!). To start, we ordered the Cookies & Cream milkshakes, and they were outstanding. They were thick, creamy, and honestly big enough to share. For our entrees we both went with burgers. I chose the Classic Burger, which was the perfect size and came with a generous portion of fries. The food was great and exactly what you hope for when visiting a classic diner. What really stood out the most, though, was the atmosphere. The attention to detail throughout the restaurant is impressive. The menu is designed like a 1958 newspaper, filled with fun facts from that time period. The servers are dressed in 1950's attire, and the vintage cars placed inside the diner are absolutely stunning and tie the whole theme together perfectly. Overall, this was a really fun and different dining experience. If you're in Pigeon Forge and want something unique with great food and an amazing retro vibe, Sunliner Diner is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. Parking was hard on a Saturday morning. We had about a 15 minute wait with 6 people. I loved the old school atmosphere. There were two old school classic cars that doubled as tables and a little toy shop at the front of the store. Our server was the best, I cannot remember his name but he was a gem! Started with a wonderful cranberry mimosa! I had a very good corned beef hash with egg plate. But the beauty in the plate was in that classic biscuit. I made sure I had two because the biscuits looked fluffy and well baked. It was the highlight of my meal and the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. It was fresh, hot, light, and fluffy. I cannot wait to go back to Pigeon Forge and dine here again!

This is a 50's themed diner which has a very unique aesthetic to it. There are replica impalas made into table booths seating 4 comfortably, old style root beer floats accompanied by other 50's set pieces. I'm from New York visiting with family from North Carolina and staying in Tennessee for the week and we've been dying to try this diner but every time we go, the line is out the door. After we left Dollywood today, we decided to try again(there were eight of us) and there was still a bit of a wait but we waited. It was well worth the wait. I got "The Jukebox Burger" and if you finish it, you get a special surprise and when you order the burger you get a complimentary quarter for the jukebox. Well, our waitress, Mimoza was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly friendly, get our order perfect to a T and is just overall a genuinely nice woman. I would recommend this diner to anyone and everyone visiting.

This was a "must eat" place on my wife's list as we planned our trip. At first glance it was exactly what we expected, 50's cars, waiters and waitresses dressed as such from the skirts to the hats, and the desserts that looked exceedingly over the top! There was a wait as we had 6 people (1 hour which went pretty quickly as no tables were left dirty. They were very prompt with the cleaning to get the guests a table.) While you wait there is a gift shop inside to ease the wait time as well. Note: there is a separate wait for the 2 car tables so you can request those as you sign in. The food itself was filling, our waitress Harley seemed to be upbeat and cheerful, not to mention informative. She helped fulfill our experience and made sure it was a rememberable one for our 4 kids. SUCCESS as they talked about the Diner all week even after we came home claiming it was their favorite! The entrees are relative to most diners and they were delicious. But the big topic is the desserts, definitely worth a trip just for the dessert. From the presentation to the taste of the last bite if you can eat it all was like no other!

Never been here at all. Went to Pigeon Forge for a family vacation and stopped here on Monday, March 1st, and was very impressed. Walked in and was in awe! Very nostalgic old-school dinner vibes with everything being straight up from the 1950s. Loved it so much! The menu was just overwhelming with so much to choose from. Mia, our waiter, was the nicest waiter we had. So kind and checked on us plenty of times! I got the Bee Gees breakfast combo and it was really good. Definitely would come back.

I really enjoyed my visit to Sunliner Diner. The food was excellent, and the retro 1950s atmosphere made it a fun place to eat. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The only downside was the price--I don't think I've ever spent $80 on breakfast before. Even so, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth trying. If you don't mind paying a little extra for a unique breakfast spot, I'd definitely recommend it.

One of a few open after 9 in Pigeon Forge. There was a small wait but there is a shop to check out with cute stuff. The place is a total diner and has car tables that have to be asked for or reserved. Once seated we were amazed at the milkshakes ordered by our neighboring tables. They looked delicious and are handspun. I ordered breakfast, eggs were done right, hashbrowns had a good crisp, the ham was a thick, the Belgian waffle had a good flavor. My friend got a burger, she said it needed salt, it wasn't going to win any awards but still yummy. Service was good. Chad was attentive and answered all of our questions. I wouldn't run back to go there but after 9 it would be where ylI would go.

    *Sunliner Patty Melt
    Jesse J.

Food was all classic diner food and pretty tasty. The melt was good but had to ask for more 1000 island. The onion rings with some ranch were basically the best. We all at table for milkshakes and worth every penny. Service, MIA was super sweet and good at checking in and getting us everything we needed. Ambiance was fun and fit the theme of the restaurant.

This is the most adordable places we've been to in a while Robbie was the most attentive and charismatic to. The buffalo chicken sandwich looked like 2 whole pieces of chicken. It was enormous! She has a whole other meal with the left overs lol. We have one vegetarian and she said the beyond Burger was really good. (I didn't try that one ). I sampled the girls' milkshakes and they were delish! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back, and hopefully Robbie will still be there! I didn't take enough pics because we were starving after a long day, but trust me, it was all good! Oh! And the atmosphere! We actually tried this place because we saw it on an Instagram video! It is adorable!! The girls thought all the unique finds in the front, the music, and the cars everywhere were the coolest!

For once in Pigeon Forge, I have ate something that actually tasted distinguishable. If you blind-folded me and had me take a bite out of different burgers from different burger joints, I could guess this one with no hesitation. However, one notable throw-off i had was that the burger had a weird aftertaste of tuna. I ordered the smash burger and it had the perfect amount of grease that doesn't drench you, but keeps up with freshness and taste. And the reason I wanted to write this review was for the french fries. Tired of soggy fries? This place puts the FRY in french fries. They maintained a delicious level of crunch and crisp (if that's your gusto) and didn't have that same refrigerator taste. I also ordered cheese curds and they had the most amazing cheese pull and tasted great! The service was excellent too, unlike some servers, they don't abandon you and they keep up with you and refills / clearing the table. If there's anything I appreciate more, it's waiters and waitresses that (even if they don't) act like they cherish their job! And if you yearn for a setting that makes you in the mood for adventure.. or a bear lover.. this place has attracting visuals so you aren't trapped in a minimalist setting. Overall, if you're up for trying new flavors and advancing your taste buds' vocabulary, I recommend The Fat Bear Family Tavern!

The other egg was just barely runny. The Canadian Bacon was NOT real. It was some sort of sliced & spiced luncheon meat that tasted horrible. I asked the waitress for some butter for my grits, and she said "more butter?", as if it was fine the way it came, and what is wrong with me:-( The shrimp on the Po Boy was NOT Blackened. No spices what-so-ever. The french fries that came with it, were the best part of that meal:-( Our waitress, Becca M, avoided eye contact with us the entire time we ate, and remember, the place was over half empty. Once we were finished eating, she came over, after waiving her down, and asked how our meal was. We reported to her the unsatisfactory meal but we ate it because we were on a quick break from work & needed to hurry. We did not have time for a 2nd breakfast to be cooked. She picked up the bill & asked us to wait a minute. She returned after a while & told us she removed the charges for the two iced teas! So, we paid $35. for two people to have a crummy meal while on a quick break from work. FINALLY - we are so sick of those horrible metal chairs in the dining room. They hurt most people's outer legs/hips & do not encourage a customer to relax & be comfortable. In the past, the food was so good, we would just over look the chairs, but after today's horrible food & the lack of anyone caring about our visit, we won't be using our hard earned money to eat crummy food & be uncomfortable. FYI: after removal of our iced tea, our meal was $29.90, we did include a $5.00 tip.
