Average breakfast spot with a cool vibe. Great for pictures of your car, service was good, but portions were insanely small specifically the breakfast burrito which appeared large on the menu photo. 2:30 pm, lots of open tables, We were lead to our table but couldn't sit down because of a good amount of food and trash under the table, we ask staff to sweep up before sat down. The food was good, i got the Ruben and onion rings, she got a Wyoming omelette, substitute onions with mushrooms. She received a Western omelette which didn't get the added shrooms and missing the tomatoes of the Wyoming. My cherry pepsi had an unexpected additional charge for adding cherry syrup. The service was slow, un attentive and mistakes made with the order. The cashier did remove the additional charge for the shrooms that were left off the omelette and did discount for veteran 10%. We let cashier know of the service issues and was informed she couldn't say anything as the server was the managers daughter. read more

This cute little restuarant is a 50's inspired diner with good deals and good food. We stopped in and got the all day breakfast and a burger. Truth be told, the burger was dry. Also, when ordering a Cajun burger you expect it to be a little spicy. But this was nothing- we couldn't taste the Cajun at all! It looked like they just dumped seasoning on the burger after it was made too, they didn't put it in the meat. But the sausage and gravy biscuits were great. Really enjoyed them. I also got a coffee, it tastes like every diner coffee, nothing special but very much typical. The service was great and they were all friendly. 3 years ago the food was so bad we sent it back and left. I haven't been eating there since then so I don't know what the difference is but I guess it's not much different than what it was. It's a great spot for tourists and shoppers and is very busy but It's hard to go back and try again after what happened last time. read more

Average diner. Not bad but not stellar. Mixed feelings about the food within our party: Wins- Mashed potatoes, broccoli, banana pudding, and fried okra. Average- BLT, Open faced turkey sandwich, and catfish. Passes- cheesecake and hush puppies. The staff was super pleasant and attentive to food allergies within our party. The themed decor is well done and has a great throwback feel! The cleanliness and physical building could be slightly improved upon- chipping paint at booth and bathroom could be freshened up. It was well stocked with soap & towels. The experience was ok. If we return to the local area, we can say we tried it, but we won't include it in future itineraries. read more

We ordered a couple sevier skillets and talk about disappointment when I came back to the table. Literally individually layered parts of barely cooked hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, and a literal slice of cheese melted on top. Awful looking. I dont know who has taught people not to crisp a hashbrown especially at a diner down here but stop it. No seasoning. The sausage gravy was straight from a can. Another disappointing thing so far down here overall. Biscuit was horrible. Another thing that has majorly gone down hill since we last visited overall down here. Kind of kitschy 50's vibe, lots of vinyl and chrome with Jukebox playing but was very clean and decent sized place. Friendly staff and very quick service. Basic burger was very good, nice char but not over cooked, large serving of crinkle fries came out hot. Chop steak was little over for my taste, light on gravy and mushrooms, too heavy on onions but hot and tasted good. The steamed sweet roll was outstanding! Has been one of my favorites through the years when visiting the area but was really disappointed today. Portions are probably a reflection of the economy but when advertising a 1/3 pound burger it ought to be bigger than a McDonald's burger, especially when it is lean elk. Burger was well seasoned but just undersized and slightly over cooked (more medium well than medium). Quesadilla was very bland, it tasted like I was eating nothing. My brother ordered the spaghetti and he said it was very low quality, and the meatballs were not good. In the menu, the photos of the food didn't even look appetizing. Also, we were sat right by the bathrooms, so our whole experience was disgusting and stinky. We could smell the bathrooms. Gross!!! We had a coupon to the diner today so since we were up in Sevierville going to Bucky's we decided to stop in and have lunch. At first glance the place is really cute. Looks just like a 50s diner but then you sit down and you start looking around and it's filthy from the fingerprints and food splatter on the windows. The window shades look like they've never been clean. I think they should shut down for a week and clean the place from top to bottom. Including the menus which were sticky and gross. Other than that part of our experience the service and food are excellent. We enjoy talking to one of the busters about Pokemon go. Our server was courteous and polite and always had our drinks filled. If they could just get the place cleaned I'm sure they would have people lining up around the block. read more

A well-deserved one star. I chose this place because I was hungry and completely tired of all of the pre-processed chain food/fast food restaurants that litter a 10 mile radius from where I was shopping at Publix. And we were hungry. I figured a diner is made to order real food. And I will give it this... it looks like a real diner. But its all just a cheep facade. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT. What I received was a dried out toast sandwich with two small end of the tomato cuts two strips of bacon and one leaf of lettuce. My nephew ordered their star cheeseburger which was a frozen Bubba burger patty with a strip of bacon and smothered in grease and condiments. His wife ordered two eggs over easy. The eggs resembled the rubber eggs that you get when you're a kid in your play kitchen slapped on a dish. They were nowhere near over easy. If you dropped them on the floor i bet they would have bounced back up into the plate. There was little or no effort to make any good impression whatsoever by way of food thus the one star. The server was nice and sweet. She was attentive. But for the food we were served I thought it was severely overpriced. I would've done better just to go to Chick-fil-A in the same parking lot. I would've gotten more and better food for less money. Being born and raised in New Jersey, the land of diners and spending 35 years in Florida I expected much more from someplace that called themselves a diner. I was sorely mistaken. Living in this area for almost 3 years, and haven't visited The Diner. Let me tell you, this is a gem in Sevierville area! The service, cleanliness, food and the diner itself. It's so lively and really takes you back in time. I have noticed a lot of elderly coming here and I bet it makes them feel they were kids! And as my husband pointed it, "it reminds me of The Riverdale show you watch on Netflix, aside from the murders." Lol Tbh, I wasn't sure if they would have vegetarian options, but I looked up the menu just to make sure. For appetizers, we order "Onion Man" Onion Rings--OH MY GOSH. These are BEST ONION RINGS, I've ever had. They are crunchy and oh-so flavorful. Really reminds you of the authentic taste of onion rings. I would gotten some on the go, but I live nearby. Since it was lunch, I ordered the Veggie Burger w/ Pepper Jack Cheese, and might I tell you, it was so good. It had a black bean patty, which I was expecting, but I was more surprised that it didn't taste like a frozen patty--appreciate that! And for my husband, he ended up order the Spicy Cajun Burger w/ Cheddar Cheese, which was juicy and hits the spot! These meals both came with a pickle and fries. The fries were exceptional, it was also crispy and tasted homemade. Added salt and pepper for extra flavor! We didn't order any deserts or milkshakes, but that's another reason to come back! My previous review was good. We came for another visit and it was horrible, my chicken was cold, my french fries were cold, tye server dropped our food off and didn't give us a chance to say if we needed anything else. If you want pickles for your sandwich they only have pickle spears not slices so good luck putting them on your sandwich/burger, my son said the eggs were the only thing on his plate that was hot. I could see some of the cooks where I was sitting an there's a cook with long hair and a beanie on no hair net. The food was a bit of a mixed review from my family. I was satisfied though I found it to be a bit bland. Their fries are really good! I also thoroughly enjoyed my milkshake although it was forgotten and was melted down by the time it arrived. Thankfully they comp'd it without saying anything. :) My rating is average because the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. A large charge for mid portions. The place could also use a deep clean, it was rather unsanitary. We were disappointed to find they had charged a sizable credit card fee with the bill before we had presented a method of payment. The service was okay, our waitress was nice but not attentive, we only saw her when ordering and receiving our food. We did not receive any refills.
