Our party of four arrived for the weekend dinner service. We were seated in the annex, which was sealed off by a door. It was a bit loud and echoing, not very comfortable, but survivable. My wife ordered the Reuben sandwich and really liked it. I ordered the beef stroganoff, and was pretty seriously disappointed. The sauce seemed like it had almost no sour cream, and it was relatively small, almost like a side dish. That being said, our friends enjoyed their food, but except for the Reuben, it did not seem like anything special. Great food and great service. They have a variety of foods and several choice the kids enjoyed. Highly recommended. I had the white fish sandwich. It is served on a sub roll but the fish it too big to fit inside. I ate about a quarter of it before I could close it up and eat it like a sub. read more

The nicest friendliest cafe in Sevierville Tennessee. Located on Wears Valley Road, surrounded by beautiful foliage and flowers. We sat outside because of Freck, even though today is almost as hot as Florida. I ordered the mountain man omelet with hash brown casserole. So did Dave. It was large and delicious loaded with ham, bacon, sausage and cheese and veggies! The first time we came here on Saturday the place was packed outside. Location and setting - excellent view on a hill overlooking US-321 with OUTDOOR seating. Dog friendly with attentive wait staff (Kim). Our 1st stop here was on Saturday morning. The hostess Michelle was exemplary in getting us seated with our Dalmatian. Great start! Our food comes out quickly as the kitchen was open as you walk inside (see pic). On Saturday my Elvira omelette was good but today's Mountain Man was the BEST. Not a gravy man (calories) it was enjoyed with Cholula. Pricing is decent and we got 10% discount by staying at Big Meadow Campground (Townsend) just down the road. How nice. Not being rushed and having plenty of parking (Harper Bros) makes this our 1st choice. We have a class C(30 ft) and this is a great place to start our day. read more

We were informed of Elvira's by our friend as a must. We unfortunately missed out on breakfast but were on time for them switching to lunch. Walking back to our table we passed patrons who had breakfast. I can't confirm of the flavor but the appearance alone was mouth watering. We will definitely have to come back for breakfast. Between the two of us, our lunch was an amazing grilled cheese sandwich with both bacon and ham and a roasted turkey sandwich. Our sides were regular and sweet potato fries. The food looked absolutely amazing and was delicious. The size of the sandwich was large enough for two. From our table we were able to look up into the mountain and down the valley. I stopped here on my return trip home from Townsend for the half marathon that vacation races puts on. In fact I had finished running, showered and checked out of my room. The hotel clerk recommended this place for breakfast. I was starving! I unfortunately missed breakfast by 15 minutes, arriving at 11:15 on Sunday. They had some chicken tacos though that sounded pretty good. So that's what I ordered. The tacos ended up being just ok. I really had my mouth set for breakfast... I'll have to return to try their breakfast menu. The staff was super friendly, everyone. Even though they were somewhat busy I was seated fairly quickly and everything went smoothly. We tried this restaurant due to all the rave reviews while visiting for the weekend. I was not impressed at all. I had the spaghetti special and the other person in our group had trout with cornbread and a salad. My spaghetti was the most bland dish I have had. The sauce tasted like chef boyardee and just overall not a good meal. The trout meal was about the same.... Bland. We were there during a not so busy time, but we were only checked on once during our meal and that was when our waitress brought the check. Won't be back and definitely do not recommend. read more

What a HUGE relief after a horrendous breakfast experience at The Riverstone Restaurant the day before! Everyone working here was so nice. Very welcoming vibes from the moment we entered. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. No more racist aggressions thank god. My three-egg Mountain Man Omelet was delicious, stuffed with meat and veggies. The gravy, with sausages, also tasted so much better than that of Riverstone's. My companion's sweet crepe with Nutella looked amazing; She said it was really good. I went here on a windy Saturday evening. I ordered a Reuben with mashed potatoes and a side of fried apples. It's a cute country restaurant. I was seated near the door in the back room which kept blowing open due to the wind outside. It was a bit chilly because of this. Luckily, the food was piping hot. I thought the sandwich was average and a bit expensive for the amount of meat. The mashed potatoes were ok, nothing memorable. I always like fried apples. I thought service could have been friendlier. My server sat down at the table next to me with what I appeared to be a regular customer. Meanwhile, I was waiting to ask for a to-go box and my check. I wasn't asked if I'd like any dessert though I heard other tables being asked. Overall, the food was ok, ambiance was very good, and service was a bit below average. It might not be my first choice for where to eat but it had a lot of choices on the menu so I'd consider going back to try something else and to support a local business. read more

What a great experience ... twice! We were only in town for a week, but we had to go back for a second meal! We were very comfortable on the patio with our puppy. The food was incredible! Took my family here today as it was on our list to visit while in the area. I'm 53 years old and this was truly, without doubt and without exaggeration, the worst breakfast I've eaten in my life. I love pancakes and frankly am not that picky about them. But these were literally inedible. Salty, gummy and undercooked, I had to use water to wash them down without choking. Two burnt disks they called sausage accompanied this atrocity. Even the coffee was bad. My son's chicken was apparently passable but even he couldn't stomach the waffles. My daughter, bless her soul, did her best to finish the gray...yes gray...crepe. The fruit was even terrible. To their credit, they removed the pancakes but the bill still came to 60 dollars. Our waitress was nice and I can't fault her at all. I still left her 20 percent. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. Maybe the regular chef was sick that day...who knows. But I would seriously recommend you go anywhere for breakfast other than this place. I still cant believe how bad it was. I've eaten thousands of breakfasts at restaurants all over the world and, honestly speaking, I truly can't recall any worse than this. We visited Elvira's Cafe as a suggestion from our server at the Sunliner Diner earlier in the week. This is a bit outside of Pigeon Forge and it is really really good. We ordered a stuffed crepe with eggs, mushrooms, onions bell pepper and cheese, we ordered Chicken and Waffles with a spiced honey on the side and chocolate chip pancakes. The chicken and waffles with spiced honey was really good and I would order this again. The chocolate chip pancakes were good. The crepe had a strange color but it tasted fine and the filling was great. This restaurant appears to be inside of an old house and they have framed photographs by professional photographers on the walls for sale. We will also visit this restaurant again next time we are in the area. read more

Our last morning in the Sevierville TN area and we needed breakfast before the long drive home. It is on a hill and there are steps to get into the restaurant. We had a moment of almost changing our mind about going due to the full parking lot on a Thursday morning. Once inside, it was clear that it was a favorite of locals. We were quickly seated. My husband had the mountain man omelette, which basically means all the meats were included. I had 2 eggs over medium, 1/2 order of biscuit and gray,and a small order of bacon. We both had coffee. Coffee was good,solid - strong, fresh, with half and half and sugar. The omelette was good for large appetites. The biscuit and gravy was good, but not the standout. The local bacon and sausage was exceptional, but the best was the eggs. I have not had eggs so fresh and tasty - ever. I was completely caught off guard. The service was great.
