After chatting with one I sensed ordering one of their specialty lattes was a must, but there so were many options. I asked the barista to surprise me. She was awesome about my request, took it a step further and did not tell me what I ordered until I was finished it. The barista made a Tuxedo Latte and it was delicious! Smoky Mountain Espresso has a very relaxed atmosphere with a cozy fireplace. This is the kind of coffee shops that makes you feel warm and welcomed. Plenty of seating is placed throughout the shop including an abundance of outdoor seating. My favorite part of the coffee shop, besides the barista, was its Pay It Forward operation. Coffee sleeves with handwritten words of encouragement and love were posted on a bar in the middle of the shop. Just normal people wanting to share the blessings of a cup of coffee with others. Loved the raw honey lavender latte! The pay it forward wall was truly touching, and inspired me to start one where I live.

The ambiance is really nice, comfortable, welcoming, and a great spot to hang out or get some work done. They also have a great couch that makes it easy to relax and stay awhile. The service was very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The espresso was okay, not bad by any means, but the atmosphere and service definitely stood out. A cool quaint little place to get coffee. I enjoy small coffee places that are usually locally owned versus the Starbucks and the bigger coffee companies. This place hit the Mark . They were very clean. Staff was nice. They had good choices for coffee. Stopped by this cute spot during my visit to Pigeon Forge. Super friendly staff with a large variety of things to try. They also offer a staff favorite list of lattes and teas to choose from. We had frozen yogurt at the Sweet Frog. The flavors were good. It's convenient to the RV park that's across the street. Nice outdoor seating area. They are really short staffed in the evening as on person was operating both the coffee and yogurt side. The price was much higher than expected. read more

I thought this place was pretty nice. We came in rather than going through the drive-thru line to get some coffee for the morning on our way out of town on our recent stay. They had a lot of seating and hopefully, it is filled because I would like to see this place continue to remain in business. The fixtures were nice and it was clean. The staff there was friendly and they had a lot of choices for libations, I had enough coffee so I chose a lavender Earl Grey tea. Great service. Chelsie was very helpful in picking out a coffee. I actually ordered her drink... Lavender, maple, chai with 2 shots of espresso frozen....delicious! The atmosphere is quiet and would be a great place to chat with friends or sit and read. Christian theme with great sayings, Scripture verses and a "pay it forward" wall. We didn't stay but got our coffee to go. We did however get an apple Danish for the road. That too was delicious. Looks like they have great outside seating area as well. Again, this seems a nice spot for great coffee and friendly service, try them out! read more

This is the cutest little Christian coffee shop I've been to! Several little verses throughout the shop. It's also attached to a nice little froyo shop. The staff was very friendly and patient as I fumbled through my order. Service was quick and they adjusted my daughter's drink for free when it wasn't what she was expecting bitterness wise. Id love to give more than 1 star but these women are RUDEEEEEE. Guaranteed the majority of these 5 star reviews are tourists passing through. To the rude woman who took our order (and has multiple times in the past) don't interrupt people when they're speaking and you may be able to actually hear what they're saying. To the woman who greeted us at the window because the other woman heard me say let us finish speaking, find another job if you don't like people. Seriously won't be back simply because of their attitudes. We waited for 6 minutes at the speaker and then another 15 minutes at the window (we were the only people in the drive through and about 6 cars total in the parking lot). Once she finally comes to the window and we tell her we forgot to add something, ask if it would be too much (if it was we would have left) she says no, literally makes it in 45 seconds comes back and SLAMS THE WINDOW SHUT. Guess we'll be sticking with chain coffee shops, this is what happens when you try to support local small coffee businesses and you have baristas who think they're special. It would be best they become toll booth operators since they are always in bad moods when dealing with the public. It's a shame cause the coffee was good. read more

Adorable!!! Fresh scones from a local baker near by. Workers were so incredibly sweet and answered all of our questions. The coffees definitely run on the sweeter side so if you're a black coffee drinker maybe get an iced coffee on the side to mix in like I did or ask for half the pumps. The inside is so cute. They have a conference room are and little work from home nooks. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area. read more

Haven't had a chance to try them until now but I was pleasantly surprised. Being it is the hottest part of July, I chose the Smoky Mountain mocha frozen coffee. It was glazed with Carmel throughout and was sweet but nonetheless delicious. The medium was plenty for me. Prices are very fair. We visit Pigeon Forge regularly and try to keep an eye out for local coffee shops. We found Smoky Mountain Espresso during this last trip while using the road it's on to cut behind Pigeon Forge. We ended up visiting several times during our trip and even raced across town to get some coffee on our way home. The frozen drinks are absolutely incredible! We have tried a few of them, but our favorite is definitely the Turtle Mocha. It's sweet and chocolatey, yet still has a strong mocha flavor. We always go through the drive thru when we stop here, but our interactions with the baristas have been pleasant. They were nice and friendly even when we arrived right before closing. It's not the fastest coffee shop, so be prepared to wait a little bit if you aren't the only in the drive thru or if there are a lot of people inside. When we were the only ones in the drive thru, we got our drinks fairly quickly. We'll definitely visit every time we take a trip to Pigeon Forge and we wish we had a Smoky Mountain Espresso back home! read more
