Also picked up an iron patch since I collect them, it was only $3.99. We tried the blackberry cobbler, and black cherry flavored ice cream. Both were delicious. It was also hopping from people in the know about this ice cream spot. The staff was also very friendly. This was our first time ever visiting the smokies. So we asked what we should see with our short time in the area. She recommended a few of the trails and falls, but she mainly said we should she cades cove. We took her advise and she was right. It was beautiful and worth the drive. Definitely don't pass this place stop in and have an ice cream. FYI, another thing we didn't know is that our cell phones did not work out in the smokies, so Google maps was out. Luckily we talked to her and she got us on the right track and we were able to find it. We really appreciated it.

She admitted she was cutting larger pieces and stated she would equal it out on the other slices which she did not. We were charged a good bit more than what we ordered. She did the same with the previous customer. Then she charged extra to put 1/2 lb in a smaller box even though she would have had to use a much larger box if she had placed all we purchased in one. This has nothing to do with the $$ but how the customer is treated. There many other locations available in the area that may not try to nickel and dime you.

We also loved that the local Dancing Bean Coffee sells beans in bulk here. We have been using the Turtle flavor daily the last few days and love how smooth and subtle the flavor is, not overpoweringly sweet like many flavored coffees. The service was amazing-patient, prompt, and friendly. The candied pecans are the best I've ever had. They have been wonderful on salads and on a charcuterie board since I brought them home. The pricing wasn't extremely high either! For the fudge, ice cream, book, coffee, candy, popcorn seasoning, and nuts we purchased, I think we spend around $30. Not too shabby!

Disappointed, I called them. Later when I was meeting my friend somewhere I received a text from the owner explaining the situation and that she was open now and hoped I would stop in. Talk about great customer service so, of course, we went back together. Shop is full of local craftsman items which was right up our alley. I bought a beautiful and very unique pottery mug and my friend purchased a homemade card. Reasonable prices and we both love our purchases. There were many types of items... too many to list so just trust me and check this store out. I paid with a credit card and noticed much later that there is a charge for a non cash purchase.. not much (probably a percentage of your purchase) but had I known I would have paid cash... kudos to the business for promoting cash transactions in essence (of course, it saves them money I am sure). We need to continue using cash in this country, though, in my opinion. AND break open my wallet!!! They had some fantastic pottery- and I snagged a bowl (I wanted 4) and a large soup mug. I also wanted a platter too... lol. They also had stunning wooden serving boards, plenty of t-shirts, hats, magnets, patches, books and even an early Christmas display. John grabbed a map, we all checked out the museum/information room too! We headed next door to the museum and then onto the Cherokee National Forest, Ball River Falls and Baby Falls!
