We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by the manager. This was our first visit to big daddy's and it won't be our last.Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. There were 4 of us and we all tried something different to share. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious!The sweet and spicy wings, we loved.The pizza was perfect!For the finale, we tried the salted pretzel caramel cannoli, the chocolate chip cannoli, and the cookies and cream cannoli. We were greeted with smiles and a pleasant demeanor which was nice. Katie was our server and she was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu items. I explained that I have several life-threatening allergies she told me the standard is to get a manager. Holly came to our table with a menu tailored to allergies. She was very pleasant as well and she went out of her way to communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure I would have something I could enjoy. We ordered the honey wings and a specialty pizza (ground beef, red onion and spinach). Everything was cooked to perfection and we really enjoyed our food. Cannot accommodate gluten sensitivity. Only gluten friendly crust offered is SAUSAGE(?!) I've been to dozens of pizzerias over the years that I've been GF, and I've never not been able to order a gluten friendly crust. The staff was unapologetic and unaccommodating. Disappointed. read more

Nice establishment, went to the Pigeon Forge location, ordered there and waited, to take back to the office. Short wait, had a soda while waiting. Ordered the Carnivore pizza, cheesy garlic bread, meatball appetizer, an Italian sandwich and 3 (2Greek & a Caesar) salads. First and foremost, we ate this after a 30 minute drive, didn't re-heat we were so starved, even after eating the cheesy bread in the car (delish, just enough garlic, light crisp with perfect amount of cheese) Now, I'm picky about meatballs, these were moist, 3 golf ball size, covered in mozzarella, and marinara (appreciated that it wasn't sweet) Not mad about these, at all, and I would consider eating a meatball parm on-site, yes I'm going to try it again and eat it hit this time. So after a long day of Dollywood my family just wanted pizza at the hotel so I selected Big Daddy's after reviewing the menu. First it's a local place and the location was convenient as it was on the way to the hotel from Dollywood but second and MOST ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT they have sausage crust on the menu . I make something similar at home and I was absolutely excited to get the carnivore pizza with sausage crust Marinara sauce, mozzarella-provolone blend, prosciutto, Italian sausage, pepperoni and freshly-seasoned ground beef. Delicious Kid got size pizza that was enjoyed. Came with a cinnamon daddy. It was good but obviously didn't compare to Dollywood cinnamon bread. So there's actually three locations for this local franchise. We would've completely overlooked it to be honest if not for the recommendation of the man at the check in counter at our hotel room. Now it's a meal we never miss when we go to town. The food is made fresh and hot. Tastes amazing and don't forget the cannolis. One thing of note, it isn't the fastest service you'll have in town. It's pretty laid back and slow paced. But casual, jeans/shorts t shirt etc. bring the kids if they aren't hungry right then and there and can stand a little waiting for food to hit the table. We stumbled on to this place by accident since wait lines at other restaurants were so long. This one said it would be 45 mins as well and with hungry kids we waited and Lucy got in only 20 mins. The food was tremendous I personally love wood/brick oven pizzas and this didn't disappoint at all. The dough daddy's and dough daddy sauce are fantastic especially if you love garlic which everyone at the table does. Our server was Willis and he was very busy with several tables including some big tables but we never felt ignored and thought he did a great job. Willis was very kind and professional and was very sorry that they had ran out of the Cannolis and we told him we knew it wasn't his fault. The only knock I give the place is the ambiance which with the arcade and the dirty table we were sat at made it have a feel of a lower standard like a Chuckie Cheese or Cici pizza when the food says otherwise. That's just my personal opinion and I know they have the arcade and all because of the tourists attractions around town but the tables and booths could use some lovin. Me and Mr. wanted to find a great pizzeria to dine in. We saw that this restaurant got really good reviews and they make their pizzas in a wood oven! My favorite style of pizza! We dined in for dinner and were seated right away. They only have 10 inch and 14 inch pizzas. You can do half and half. Or you can create your own if you don't like to have their specialty pizzas. Besides pizza, they have appetizers, wings, sandwiches, pasta and desserts. We ordered: -Carpintero Dogajolo Sangiovese -TN Brew Works Hippies & Cowboys IPA -1/2 & 1/2 pizza (Margherita and The Big Dill) -Bolla Chianti I have to say that I loved the pizza! The Margherita was delish. I ate the whole thing. They were not stingy on the pickles for the other half. Had so much flavor and the crusts was just right. Even my wine paired well with it. The staff were wonderful. The pizza was delicious. On the thin side but it is wood fired so it has a nice crisp char to the bottom.. not soggy at all like some other places in the area. The kids meal was nicely priced considering it comes with a drink, small personal pizza with one topping and a dessert bread knot or garlic bread. Place was empty but had to park in the back. Got seated and poof, the place was packed. I'm mean literally packed. Ordered the antipasto salad to share. Was very big and loaded with cheese, ham, pepperoni and olives. We were starved so it vanished pretty quickly. We have ate at Big Daddy's several times in the past while visiting Pigeon Forge and the food was always good, this time I don't know what happened but I could have had a better pizza if I had of went to Walmart and bought a frozen Tombstone pizza, crust was burnt black on edges and bottom, and the toppings were terrible, Service was poor at best. On our first night of our trip to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, my lady and I were wanting some good pizza. Seriously, who can say no to good pizza? When we saw this place, and found out the do wood-fired pizza, we had to stop by, and it was definitely worth the stop. We rolled in on a Sunday night and were seated right away. The place looked pretty busy but had a lot of comfortable seating. Our table was pretty close to the open kitchen so we could see all the magic happening. Our server, Brandon, was very friendly and helpful. He told us about the menu and let us know they did 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas too. The menu is pretty big with lots of tasty options for pizza, wings, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Their drink menu is really nice too. I started with a pint of TN Brew Works Hippies & Cowboys IPA. My lady had a glass of sangiovese. For our pizza, we decided on a 1/2 and 1/2 with of margherita and the big dill. We didn't wait long at all for our pizza, but long enough for my lady to finish her sangiovese and order a chianti. I'm not sure which half I enjoyed more because both were excellent. The big dill was loaded with pickles and the margherita was perfectly balanced in its simplicity. At first, we didn't think we were gonna finish it all, but it was too good NOT to finish. When we were done, not a single speck of it was left on the pan. Can't beat a great pizza spot! Though this one also has an arcade for kids of all ages. They even have some cool gear to take home. I may go back for the shirt that says, "Never settle for less than 10 inches." I could certainly see my lady and I coming back on our next trip here. read more
