I got to try Mayas when they brought a food truck to Opera in the Park this weekend. The food smelled wonderful and the taste, perfect. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan and it was terrific. A number of people stopped to see what I was eating and where I got it. When I told them they ran to get their own! Now having tried Mayas, I can't wait to give their restaurant a try!

I first tried Mayas at Taste of Cincinnati and was immediately hooked! Just ordered again from DoorDash and I can confirm it is just as good the second time around. The chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan are by far the best I've had; you can tell they spend a lot of time infusing flavor into the chicken itself and not just the sauce (although that sings by itself as well). I also took a chance and ordered something new, the Paneer Papadi Chat, and was pleasantly surprised. It's like nothing I've ever had before, but comforting at the same time. Whatever the crunchy bits are (samosa dough pieces maybe?), they're absolutely fantastic in breaking up the soft potato texture. My food also arrived still hot, which I found impressive since it travelled from Delhi to Covington. 12/10 absolutely my favorite Indian food in Cincy, and I don't think that'll be changing any time in the near future!

This place really did not look like much from the outside; they had some parking spaces in the back but I skipped them because of the potholes. The inside was small, but nicely decorated. While there were other people eating there, this place seemed to be doing a ton of takeout. The crowd was very Cincinnati; when you see someone with dubious facial piercings holding the door open politely for everyone else that got their takeout first, you know you're in the Midwest. I got a choley bhatura. I disagree with their choice of how to serve it; the dish is nominally chickpea curry with bread for dipping, but they give rice too, which is redundant and is a bunch of unnecessary carbs. I'd prefer they had some more traditional accompaniments (like onions, chili peppers, lemon, mango pickle, these are common). Still, the chickpeas I got on a high spice level delivered on flavor and did make me sweat a bit, and the bread was fresh and delicious. The milk tea I added tasted more like actual tea than a lot of such beverages do. I find myself thinking that they are probably popular for takeout for a reason, as it was fresh and satisfying.

This place is very unassuming from the outside but so quaint and homey on the inside. The food was amazing and so full of flavor. We had the curry chicken, chicken makhani and plain naan. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu!

Me annoyed after a lame experience. Luckily better restaurants exist and will take you. 9:05 on a Friday night is "too late". Haha.

Walked by after hearing great things from the place and I saw their window sign say 11-10 everyday, closed Monday. I was making plans after I saw that to come there. Me and my dad were trying to squeeze in a dinner date when we both were busy beforehand, we thought arriving at 9:05 and them closing at 10 wasn't wild, we can order, have food in 20 mins, eat in 15 and be gone with 10 minutes before close. Walked in at 9:05 and were told to leave or get take out only. Not a professional way to run a company, do better, change your sign, be clear on your hours. These are basic requests. Food might be delicious(I couldn't try it) but the owners are just not professionals in the slighest. Extremely disappointed.

Great Indian food on the west side of Cincinnati. I ended up ordering a chicken tikka masala (take out) and serving size was generous. There was plenty of chicken and sauce, and a very large helping of rice. You can order it on a spice level of 0-6. I ended up getting a 5 and I can assure you that it is spicy, and very delicious. I will definitely be coming back here again and again. Definitely explore their menu, because everything is fantastic You can even place an order through the yelp app! Which is fulfilled through Grubhub.

Great authentic Indian food!!! What a great find. Stopped in for lunch at this little cafe and we're not disappointed at all. Service was great. Definitely wouldn't recommend it for a date night or anything fancy but if you're all about the food...go for it!

Good food, fast service, easy parking on side street. Take-out is always timely. Quiet dining room if you prefer to eat-in.

Great food. The butter chicken is amazing. We carried out and it was still hot after a ten minute drive.

Authentic Indian with friendly staff. Their naan is second to none in Cincinnati. We go to no other places for Indian food.

My long-running birthday tradition is getting Indian for dinner. Take-out, order in, anything goes…read more I wanted to try a new spot this year, so we dined in here on a Saturday night. It was busier than we expected, but it didn't affect our very attentive service. We started with a different appetizer than usual (for us), the Papadi Chat. A simple cold salad mix of chickpeas, apples, onion, and spices. We didn't really know what to expect, but it was tasty and something I could easily replicate at home. For entrees, we happily devoured 2 saag dishes (Chicken Tikka Saag and Saag Paneer), as well as Dal Makhani. I can't write this review without mentioning the naan. The garlic may have been one of the best garlic naans I've had - flavorful garlic flavor with so many actual garlic pieces adhered. BUT the star of the show was absolutely the Kashmiri naan. Do not pass this up!!! Maybe the best and most unique naan overall I've ever tried. Dramatic statement but true. Overall, this was a delicious birthday dinner and we will absolutely be back for more of that Kashmiri naan :)

Must try: Naan (any kind), saag bhartha, malai kofta, masala lassi. Something to know: they have on-site parking behind their building. It's a small and bit tight parking so be careful while entering and exiting. Service is always good and food comes out in reasonable time. Prices have definitely gone quite up since after covid. But the good food makes it worth.

More people came in but the restaurant was pretty empty all evening. Our server, Rachel was very friendly and helpful, going over the menu and made sure our waters were filled and we had what we needed throughout the evening. I asked her opinion between two cocktails and went with her suggestion of the chai espresso martini which was delicious! We started with the sourdough bread that came with treacle and honey butter which I thought would be more remarkable, if pretty much tasted like run of the mill butter. For dinner, my husband and I split the pachadi salad and the short rib vindaloo. The salad was crunchy and fresh and very flavorful, I would definitely get it again. The vindaloo was good but I would probably choose something else next time.

When I went to make the reservation, I found that that if we show up with 3 instead of 4 we would pay a $20 per PERSON fee. I have heard of no-show fees for a whole missed reservation, but a missing person is offensive. Do I get a discount if my service is slow because a server called in sick? What if the entree I came in for is sold out? I bet not. We were able to find a table at a different restaurant that puts an emphasis on the experience, not the profit times seats times turns equation. It's a shame. I liked the food here, but a policy like that puts in on my no-go list.

Even my mango lassi was in the brown paper bag with the food, but nothing budged in transit. Since it was late in the evening, free street parking was readily available. I ordered garlic naan, mango lassi, and saag mushroom. All were good! The saag mushroom left just a little to be desired, but I'd definitely eat it again. They brought out the sauces/chutneys and they were cold, straight from the fridge and she was very disappointed in that. We ordered our drinks and neither one of us cared for the drinks at all. I ordered the chai tea and she ordered a manhattan. My chai tasted like milk and sugar and that is pretty much all, I was missing the spiciness of chai tea. Also a skin had formed on top of the tea as if the milk was scorched. She did not care for the manhattan at all, not really boozy and definitely not in the right glass and had a bunch of ice in it instead of none or just a single cube. On to the food. We both enjoyed our food. She ordered many items as she likes to take it home for the next day. I ordered the lamb kabob which is cooked in a Tandoor oven. I am going to say this is the single best dish I have ever had in an Indian restaurant and I would most assuredly order it again. My girlfriend said her meal was good in the restaurant and as leftovers at home as well. Our waitress did not have much of a personality and also it was clean inside but nothing spectacular.
