A surprisingly delicious West side addition, you definitely have to check it out! The portions are plentiful and everything here is delicious. Obviously garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer are the most popular and they are all very good. You can choose your spice level 1 through 10. My favorites are the chicken bartha (eggplant) and the chili Gobi (cauliflower). If you call in your order, they have it ready, but keep in mind they do get really busy around dinnertime. read more

SUCH a good choice - we were glad we made the journey out of downtown Cincinnati while we were visiting. The shrimp tandoori was different than ones we've had in the past - as I am used to ones that are more of a dry rub versus a sauce, but it was great. I've been to a lot of Indian places around the city and I *thought* I knew where my favorite Indian place was until I tried Maya's a few nights ago. WOW, It's so freaking delicious. I tried the Chicken tikka masala and the vindaloo chicken. I've always been a huge fan of tikka masala and this was the best I've had yet. This was my first time trying vindaloo and it's even better than tikka! Portion size is huge and the service is awesome! They even gave us a free garlic naan which was really sweet! It's pretty warm in there, not sure if they have air or not. But it was worth it! :) read more

Love Mayas. Maybe not a romantic dinner spot, but the best damn carry out for sure. Loved really close to here for a couple years before I tried it, and regret going anywhere else now. I really think they have the best flavor in Cincinnati, and do a really good job overall. The portions are good size, and not just all sauce or rice, having plenty of meat or paneer that is cooked nicely- not as dry as some Indian places in town are prone to do. Haven't had one dish that I have been disappointed in yet, and been there over a dozen times, each time with someone, so have tried a lot of variety. Only wish is the spice level was more consistent. I love spicy, and sometimes my 5 will be closer to a 2, but I can live if that's the worst part. read more

Brought my aunt and uncle here in an attempt to convince them that indeed cool, small restaurants exist on the west side. They hadn't tried Indian food in probably 10 years, so this was a trial by fire. We ordered some mild dishes - CTM, Chicken Makhani, vegetable Biryani, etc. We also got the Bhatura (fried bread) and Mango Lassi / Indian coffees. We came at a very busy time, so service wasn't great, but the food more than redeemed the experience. Parking is available in a lot behind the restaurant (entrance on Pedretti) and also on the street. Don't be put off by the dining area - it is a bit makeshift and poorly decorated... delivery is always an option (and available through Yelp, which I want to try). Glad to have Maya in the neighborhood. read more

It's always good to see good food come to Price Hill and this is definitely a great addition. The restaurant is tiny and can get packed easily, but in it you'll find all the popular Northern Indian dishes cooked with care. The food is a bit milder than elsewhere (based on the levels we ordered) but delicately seasoned and quite delicious. I have heard rumors that this place is owned by Maya of the original Dusmesh and Swad family, and while I can't confirm or deny this, I can tell you that this is a solid restaurant that is definitely worth your visit. read more

Yum!! A friend of mine (an Indian aficionado) had Mayas cater a party recently. OMG - this was some of the best Indian food I've had. It was less mushy and watery than other restaurants I've tried, and everything had great flavor and texture (the naan was perfect). My work group was looking for a decent place to celebrate a birthday, and my Yelp app conjured up this place. It was a bit of a drive, and the Price Hills neighborhood is not exactly a garden spot. The location in a little storefront does not stand out except for the big yellow sign. Inside there are only 35 seats, and the bright yellow walls and black velvet paintings are a little cheesy. But all of those concerns disappeared when the food arrived. We all ordered from the lunch menu, which offers all of the usual northern Indian dishes in vegetarian, chicken and lamb varieties. The regular menu includes goat, which earns them a star all by itself. The lunch portions were more than adequate, and we received free refills of rice. My lamb vindaloo was tangy and thick, and the requested spice level 5 on the 1-6 scale was attention-getting but comfortable. One in my group asked for off the scale heat, and even though it still wasn't overly hot, he thoroughly enjoyed it, as did everyone else. We ordered naan separately, and it was almost roti-thin with little bits of delicious char. Mango lassi is one of life's true joys, and theirs is a pretty generous serving. Everyone left full and happy. Service was friendly and very accommodating. Lunch is a terrific bargain here as well. It's about as good as Indian food gets in Cincy. read more

Omg! This restaurant was such a find! Trust me I did not think I was going to find such good Indian food in Cincinnati. What makes this restaurant stand out is how the taste was so close to home. Didn't feel like I was eating at a "restaurant". For appetizer we ordered a veggie platter. Main course - Batura, Aalo Choley, Vegetable Biryani, and yes Pooris too ( Yes we did not finish it) Except for the Pakoda which I thought was on the more saltier side, everything else tasted out of the world. Writing this review with fingers still partially sauced up after devouring my food. I got a couple of sides from their food truck parked outside Westside Brewery. Only wanted a snack so my gf and I split the tikka masala waffle fries and the spring rolls. Can't recommend enough. Delicious! We started with Muligatawney Soup and lentil soup and paneer pakora. Super yummy! Fried cheese with spices - can't go wrong. We tried lamb korma, chicken shahi korma, and tikka bharta with various naan. It was very flavorful! You could really taste the spices in the bharta and the korma was smooth and creamy. However, we didn't expect to be completely blown away by how tasty everything was! Everything was made in house, super fresh, and just the delicious smells from the kitchen and our table, made the evening out worth while. We had been looking for a good Indian Resturant in the area, since my husband is from England and they have some of the best Indian food in the world there. For my husband to be impressed by good Indian food is quite impressive, and we were both extremely impressed by Mayas. The resturant itself was clean, and the service was prompt and very attentive. Authentic Indian with friendly staff. Their naan is second to none in Cincinnati. We go to no other places for Indian food.

In full disclose, I'm a sucker for good Indian food. But this place is the best Indian I've had in Cincinnati besides Ambar in Clifton, and it might even give it a run for its money. We've eaten at the restaurant once or twice and it's an average dining experience. The staff is friendly, the food comes quick and is always hot and delicious. But most often, we order takeout. Our favorites include the vegetable mango curry, chicken tikka, nav ratan korma, chicken tikka masala, among others. We've had the garlic naan and it's good but we typically skip it because it's more food than we need. Everything is delicious, particularly the mango curry. The combination of spicy and sweet is fantastic. Since we left Clifton for the west side, finding Maya has been a lifesaver. It's top notch Indian food and a good price. We dined in the restaurant. The decor is nothing fancy; however, the food is delicious. We shared one appetizer, paneer papadi chat, and two entrees, shrimp saag, and chicken makhani, along with an order of naan. Everything was excellent. The appetizer was the best variation on the dish that I have found in many years. The entrees were just as good. We had leftovers that we took home for the next day.
