Nice place friendly people affordable drinks and lots of queens COVID was not an issue for us yes you have to have a mask and hours are different but overall our experience was great.

No body here!

This shouldn't be classified as a club. I'm here now & it's 12:30 and there is two lone people dancing.... I was expecting more since the other reviews are high, but I will NEVER RECOMMEND this place or COME BACK. The music is good, but lame for dancing. My sister are from Alaska & Bmore, this is a bar. We're leaving

Has quickly become my favorite Indian restaurant in the Cincinnati area. The food is very…read morefavorable and the speed of service is quite good. The one thing that sets this place apart from other Indian restaurants is value. I feel that you get your money's worth here. The portion size is reasonable and the price is also reasonable. If I am going to be critical of an aspect of the establishment, I don't care for the hours of operation. They are closed for a couple of hours during the afternoon. I would have been able to eat there several times but can't because they are closed. Would definitely recommend.

Ok the entire time I've lived here, I've witnessed people on the internet saying that Jot is the…read morebest Indian food around. It was far away from me in Fairfield, so it took me far too long to try it (Doordash or bust). Omg it is soooo gooooddd!!! Is it Americanized? Probably but I don't know? I always assumed that I like the most Americanized Indian food, because I like sweet flavors and can't eat spicy food. Whatever is going on here, the flavors are just spot on for me in ways that other places around here have not been. Tikka masala fries are a favorite food. Geez I hope I can find something like this back in Cali. If I was eating there I would ask for double grated paneer. Bhindi masala is some of the best I've ever had - it's light and not too tomatoey and lets the okra shine through. Okra is not overcooked. Sooo tasty. I tried cholay (aloo) for the first time here and I love it. The mango chutney has the right flavor for me, super sweet. Mango lassi is really thick and not too sweet. Kheer was really good and also not too sweet. I wish they would have had gajar ka halwa on the menu because I bet it would be amazing. I have pretty basic picks because I'm pretty basic about Indian food. But I think everything here on the menu must be amazing. Don't be afraid to try anything!! One of my few regrets leaving this area is not trying Jot sooner so I could get experimental with their menu. So if you're reading this, do it in my honor please!

Absolutely fantastic experience here. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, giving us…read moregreat recommendations throughout. The interior is very cozy, it hardly felt like a blazing hot summer day in there, more like a nice cool fall. The food and drinks were excellent. Many of the cocktails have tea-inspired elements, which was a really excellent start to the meal (the old-fashioned especially). For food, we loved everything. The mushroom samosas were almost more like saag and delicious. The short rib curry and the burger were both delicious. We finished with the sticky toffee pudding and it couldn't have been better. Great experience.

Prior to dinner, we walked around Fountain Square and explored the Cincinnati Moon Festival…read more(sampled some hot teas and mooncakes), and got cocktails at The Davidson and Via Vite (we saw Chef Cristian!) We went on a Friday nite, a 7 pm reservation for two. The scotch egg app and one of the rotating cottage pies (?one w/ lamb?) were already sold out. It was busy, with most tables occupied. Lots of 'dates', it looked like. Marigold is in downtown / the Fountain District and walking distance to Via Vite and The Davidson. At Marigold, we tried the mango lasso (reserve) cocktail ($22) and honey blossom (shaken) ($15) cocktail. Great cocktails, but $$$. We shared the following: Cottage pot pie w/ ground beef Pachadi salad $16.95 Mushroom samosa, came with two, $16.95 Oysters Rockefeller, came with six, $23.95 Bone in short rib, came with two, $54.95 We loved the * pachadi salad - punchy, fresh flavors, * mushroom samosas - came with 2, outside pastry crust was light *Bone in short ribs - came with 2, meat was fall off the bone tender and flavored well w/ the vindaloo juice; a lot of fat, but its a short rib not a filet mignon; the dish came with a few potatoes (dont wast the last few millimeters of space in your tummy on the taters). * Cottage pie - it was good, but nothing special (I did learn cottage pie = ground beef, vs shepherd's pie = ground lamb) * Oysters Rockefeller, came with 6 - these were good, but nothing special. The restaurant is loud. We had a hard time conversing, sitting across from each other. "English-style public house serving British and Indian dishes" A pricey meal, but worth a wknd dinner splurge with my college bestie. All the dishes came out fresh and HOT. Fun facts: Owned and operated by Crown Restaurant Group (CRG), sister restaurants are: Crown Republic Gastropub, Losanti, Rosie's Italian, Crown Cantina, Five on Vine, Young Buck Deli Opened in Feb 2025

The butter chicken is out of this world, honestly some of the best I've had. If you're into garlic naan, this might be the best in town. The price is well worth it for what you get. I'm a DC native, and I can say this easily beats any Indian food I've had in DC, New York, or anywhere else on the East Coast. The people are super friendly and quick, food comes out fast, and the atmosphere is great. Bonus: the owner also runs the convenience store right across the street, so it's a handy stop for liquor or tobacco needs too. Highly recommend. This is a real neighborhood spot.

They brought out the sauces/chutneys and they were cold, straight from the fridge and she was very disappointed in that. We ordered our drinks and neither one of us cared for the drinks at all. I ordered the chai tea and she ordered a manhattan. My chai tasted like milk and sugar and that is pretty much all, I was missing the spiciness of chai tea. Also a skin had formed on top of the tea as if the milk was scorched. She did not care for the manhattan at all, not really boozy and definitely not in the right glass and had a bunch of ice in it instead of none or just a single cube. On to the food. We both enjoyed our food. She ordered many items as she likes to take it home for the next day. I ordered the lamb kabob which is cooked in a Tandoor oven. I am going to say this is the single best dish I have ever had in an Indian restaurant and I would most assuredly order it again. My girlfriend said her meal was good in the restaurant and as leftovers at home as well. Our waitress did not have much of a personality and also it was clean inside but nothing spectacular.
