Went to May Loong Kitchen last Thursday night, Just after the snow started comming down really hard and there was already 2 inches of snow on the ground. I went out to get food for myself and my kids and everything else any were around had closed hours ago. May Loong was still open and they did not look like they were closing anytime soon. Kudos to them for being open. The service was excellent and fast and friendly. The food itself was nothing special just ok in my book. Probably would not go back unless i was desperate again.

"chow mein"

We ordered takeout. We got house special chow mein and what we got was this!! Wtf??? Chow mein literally means noodles. But there is absolutely no noodles.... We called them back and told them we got the wrong order but they said that it's correct, "chow mein has no noodles"... Are you kidding me?? And then they laughed it off while still on the phone. Disrespectful staff. Don't order from here.

This little shop serves up some fantastic Asian fare! Parking is unreal but pre order and you'll be pleasantly delighted with good pricing good tasting and full belly

Mongolian Beef, terrible

Not sure about some of these other reviews on here but everything they said was good about this place did not hold up. I ordered online for take-out and I will say that when I arrived twenty minutes later the food was ready and there were no mistakes with it. Also one half of the restaurant was occupied by the owners sleeping daughter and tons of her toys, which I found very odd. Additionally the portions of each dish were very small, not that I am complaining because I hated my food. I ordered the Mongolian Beef medium spicy and first of all, it was not spicy at all, like not even a vague hint of spice which was disappointing. Not only did it not have any spice, but it also had no flavor. It looked like it had a sauce on it but when I tried it all I could taste was grease and nothing else. There were also like 6-7 pieces of beef and a ton of onion, so the portion size was really lacking there. I also had the wonton soup which not surprisingly, also had no flavor. I would not order either of these dishes again. My mom ordered the cashew chicken, and for some reason it was fried, when it has never been in the past which she wasn't happy about. I also gave it a taste and was not a fan of its vaguely sweet flavor. May Loong used to be my go too take out spot, but now that they have switched owners the place has gone extremely downhill. They used to crank out decent food and now the food is all but inedible. Go somewhere else.

Not from Long Island and Chinese food out here tends to be pretty mediocre, but this place is a gem and affordable I might add!

I went to lunch with my wife on a Sunday. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of Jericho…read moreTurnpike in Syosset. The restaurant was dimly lit but nicely decorated. The were only 2 other people in the restaurant. The hostess brought us to a booth. Very comfortable. Waiter appeared a few minutes later and presented us with a tablet to order our meals. It was easy and it was great to see what the dishes looked like. We ordered mango lava milk and the holden chrysanthemum tea pot. Lava milk was nice and not too sweet and the chrysanthemum tea was a good choice to compliment the meal. We ordered the steamed pork soup dumplings. Cooked to perfection. We also ordered the half Peking duck and spicy black fish. The Peking duck was served with pancakes to wrap the duck as well as cucumber, pineapple and hoisin sauce. Duck tasted delicious not greasy at all. It was my favorite part of the meal. Spicy black fish was good as well and not too spicy. This is a high end Chinese fusion restaurant. Prices are high but you are paying for the presentation and experience. Footnote: This restaurant is listed as a Resy restaurant. AmEx Platinum Card will give you a $100 credit every 3 months that you dined at Resy restaurants. For some reason they way the waiter rang up the bill on the tablet it came up as take out ?!? Crazy! AmEx still gave us the credit after we called it un.

This place deserves 5 stars but it was absolutely freezing inside, they told us the heat shuts off…read moreif its less than 30 degrees outside and we definitely felt the lack of heat. It was about 10 degrees outside we had to wear our jackets inside for dinner. Besides that downfall, the food here is so so so good. This is my second time coming back and I absolutely love everything, from the wontons to the fried rice and the kung pao chicken. I always look foward to eating my leftovers from this place!! Hopefully they fix the heat issue so I can return this winter.
