How frustrating. We always used Danny's in Bellmore and it was always a superior experience. This location has proven a nightmare. The order is always missing something. The packaging was so bad that something leaked over everything. No matter how many times you remind them to put in an extra condiment, they reassure they did and then they don't. This place is horrible! I ordered vegetable fried rice for me and my baby's dinner. They were doing a special on Uber Eats, buy one get one free. When I was ordering on uber app, there was an option about spice level...mild, spicy, and extra spicy. I've never been asked if I wanted spice in my rice before so I ordered MILD. When my delivery came, I opened the box and there was soooooo much spice in my rice. It's soooo spicy and my baby can't eat any of it! First- the food here is delicious. There isn't a better Chinese take out restaurant anywhere close to Danny's. My issue is they play games with their cash discount. When the cash discount started the only day the discount didn't apply was on Mondays for some strange reason. You must also show the text your received confirming you are entitled to the discount? Weird. Recently they changed the cash discount policy to every other week. Not realizing I placed my order on a full price week I was denied the discount. The cashier told me there are two groups of customers entitled to the discount on their assigned week only. Danny's shop playing games with your loyal customers. Apparently you want to be paid in cash, just give us the discount whenever we show up. until you fix this ridiculous policy I'll drive as far as necessary for another restaurant that doesn't play games. read more

We placed a big order from here earlier this week, and I enjoyed many of the dishes I tried. Here were some favorites: Shrimp lo mein-- this was my favorite of our order. The lo main was really good and had a good amount of shrimp and veggies in it. Chicken and broccoli-- we got two orders of this, one regular and one in garlic sauce. Both orders were great. The broccoli was really tasty, as well as the chicken. The serving size was great, too. Sesame chicken--this was really good and made with white meat chicken. It came with steamed broccoli, which I enjoyed. The serving was gold, but not as big of a portion as the other dishes. Crab Rangoon--these are always good, right? We also ordered a shrimp fried rice, chicken dumplings, vegetable chowmein, and maybe some other dishes (it was a big order). The only miss were the dumplings. But everything else was good. I've been coming to this Chinese restaurant for a while now, and I usually pick up my food with my small scooter. It's never been an issue -- until last time. When I walked in to get my order, I paid as soon as I get in but the guy at the counter, a white man, told me to wait outside because of my scooter. There was no sign saying scooters aren't allowed, and I wasn't even planning to eat there -- I just needed to grab my food and go. It would've taken maybe two minutes. What made it worse was that it was a really hot day. The sun was directly in front of the restaurant and there was no shade outside. Yet he still insisted I wait out there, like I didn't deserve to stand inside for even a minute. It honestly felt rude and humiliating -- like I was being treated differently for no good reason. I've always liked this place, but after that experience, I don't think I can come back. Really tasty & light hot and sour soup. Substantial Sesame chicken with big pieces of white meat, v little batter. Awesome that you can customize the dish eg no or little corn starch; no, little or extra sauce etc. Crispy, veggie laden and yummy spring rolls. Very generous with their portions and the accompanying sauces. Veggie lo mein was smoky n delicious. Asked for extra mushrooms and they sure did pack them in. Take out was ready in 18 minutes. Really good packing for the drive home. Food stayed hot. Great kids at the counter who were smiling, very courteous and immediately accommodated my request for extra Long Island duck ( our local breed) sauce. Danny's has just been open for 6 months. My first time here. I will definitely be back to try their lunch specials and the other items on their fun menu( Health and Fitness section). Altogether the experience here was a positive one. The majority of the food was really good. The order was filled properly and 7 of us ate very good for a little over $100. I ordered through Uber Eats and picked my food up. Here are some of the things I ordered and my thoughts about them. We ordered chicken with broccoli and that was one of the best dishes we tried. Everything about it was very good. We also ordered sesame chicken. This was all white meat excellence. I wish the portion was a little bigger. They put it in a different container that the other dishes. It had a partition and that separated a third off and that was filled with straight steamed broccoli. We also got the shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein. Both of these were good, but in my opinion the lo mein was better than the rice. We also ordered scallion pancakes that were good, crab rangoon that were very good and a fried chicken dumplings. They were not that good, and the one thing that I would not order again in the future. The food was hot and fresh and for a big order, it was complete. Hands down, the best Chinese food I came across since moving to Long Island. 20 to 25 drive from my house, it's def not the closest, but it's def worth the drive. Came across this place from the grubfather on IG and this place is solid for your Chinese food cravings. I love how they don't use cheap ingredients when it comes to making there Chinese food and you can taste the difference compared to other places. Came here and got bbq spare ribs, sesame chicken, pork egg rolls, house special rice, and chicken and broccoli. Everything was 10/10 and my only complaint was the spare ribs. Food is always piping hot because I usually always pick up. Best friend gives Moo Shu Pork a 5, It has some heat to it. Fried rice was traditional and good. Ordered from Uber Eats, there was some kind of deal. $15 off and they offer quite a few buy 1 get 1 free. We ordered; Plain lo mein- very very plain lo mein! I think it gave the option to add sauce but I skipped that part so I guess that was on me. I don't usually add sauce to lo mein though so I thought it was an odd option. We got a lot of it because it was buy 1 get one free. Egg Roll- was a very good standard egg roll. Exactly what I was expecting and wanted. Was also buy 1 get 1 free. Egg Foo Young- very good, I loved it. They don't make it with the gloppy light brown sauce, the sauce was dark and garlicky. Steamed Dumplings- so bad, to me they tasted like rubber, there was something really weird about them. Fried Wontons in sesame sauce- very good, much better than the dumplings. Wonton soup- acceptable standard wonton soup, again just what I was expecting and wanted. I would order from them again with some tweaks I would definitely order the soup, egg roll and egg foo young again and skip the rest of what I tried. I'm really glad Danny's opened up in Syosset! I've been looking for a Chinese takeout place because all the other places by me have been mediocre. Danny's has white meat chicken, wonton soup as a choice of side for lunch specials, real Chinese noodle soups, etc. The prices are reasonable and the food is always ready within 15-20 minutes. I called and was told that I had to get in touch with uber eats. uber credited me the amount, but was very dissapointed, I wanted to try the ribs that were left off the order. I also ordered butterfly shrimp. it was expensive but I remembered it from years gone by and wanted to try it. it was soggy and had too much batter on it. it wasn't worth the money! i have been a customer for years. mostly in Bellmore and have now been using Syosset. i hope this is a one and done experience, since it was so bad. i ordered a small ribs on the bone and two egg rolls. when i got home, the ribs were burnt to a crisp and very little meat on the bone...like half of what they usually are. the egg rolls were smaller than usual and seemed as though they might have been refrigerated from yesterday and just reheated in the fryer. limp and tasteless. as i said, i hope this was a one and done disappointment. read more

Before I start this review, I want to state it was a delivery order placed through UberEats and in no way are they to blame for any of this review, they did their job and got me my order in the time frame they said they would with no issue. That out of the way, I had ordered the sesame chicken combo, subbed out the riced for pork lo mein and upgraded the standard egg roll to a pastrami egg roll (expecting a Reuben type egg roll experience). I also ordered a regular egg roll as well and requested utensils be provided as I was at work during odd hours and didn't have access to the cafeteria to get my own plastic ware. I get my order from my deliver driver, quite hungry and looking forward to having some nice Chinese food, I eagerly open the bag and started unpacking the goodies, and everything seemed to be there at first glance, including an envelope with 3 fortune cookies and various packets of sauce. I'm just opening the lid to the sesame chicken/lo mein to let it cool for a minute or two and look for the utensils I requested. I don't see them. I flip the bag upside down and nothing falls out. Ok they forgot my utensils, luckily a coworker happened to have a leftover, unopened set that he let me use, as sesame chicken and lo mein aren't exactly finger foods where one could just adapt and eat the meal with their hands. Anyway I dig in to the lo mein and right away notice it's quite bland and the noodles are very soft and lack any real texture like lo mein noodles should have. So I put a packet of soy sauce on it, and that helps it out. Next I pick a nice looking piece of the sesame chicken, and sadly looks were deceiving. It looked great and was nicely sauced on the outside, but the chicken was super dry on the inside to the point where each bite needed to be chewed for a good 1-2 minutes before safely swallowing, not to mention bore the resemblance to chewing plastic at times. Very disappointing. I move on to the egg roll (neither labeled so it was a toss up which was which) the first being the pastrami. I took a bite and the first taste is caraway seeds and thus a rye bread taste and then a slight hint of a pastrami flair. Very misleading and not that appetizing. One bite and done. The regular egg roll was ok, but nothing to write home about and was very heavy on the cabbage instead of the pork for the filling. There was one saving grace to this meal, the three fortune cookies were the best and tastiest part of the meal, because luckily they were your standard, prepackaged fortune cookie that every Chinese place has. When the best part of your meal is a prepackaged cookie that you didn't even make, that should say something. read more
