I;ve never had any dish from Meet Rice that wasn't delicious... but there are some highlights worth pointing to. First... order their noodle soups! There are several flavors... I happen to favor the roast pork, which comes with baby bok choy, a choice of wonton or dumpling and your choice of noodle. I love their udon... I get it every time! Recently ordered Honey Chicken for the first time. Why had I waited??? All white meat in a nice, crispy coating... and coated in, well... honey... and I guess something else. It wasn't too sweet. Good, clean takeout Chinese food can be a tricky find with so many places to choose from. Meet Rice does a great job. Their dumplings are home made, egg rolls are crisp and not greasy. Delicious!!! Excellent Chinese food. They use the highest quality of meat in the chicken with broccoli so you don't end up with those bad bouncy pieces. The sauce is different but really good (could use a bit more sauce) if you like it with a lot then ask for extra sauce. Rice is great and so are the egg rolls and spring rolls. Such a great meal at Meet Rice! They opened fairly recently and I am so very happy they did. We have decent Asian cuisine near us but this place is really top notch! We decided to go with 3 dishes and take advantage of the Thai options. We got Thai udon with Chicken, Shrimp and chicken Szechuan and Thai cashew shrimp. All three dishes were really good! Nothing was drowning in too much sauce and the flavor was just outstanding. The jumbo shrimp were plentiful and the veggies were cooked to perfection. Even the cashews were roasted which really made the dish even better! The staff was great too, I had some questions on menu items and they were able to give me a thorough description. And we were given a pretty decent waiting time after ordering over the phone. I am definitely a fan of this amazing restaurant! I can't wait to try some other dishes! read more

I am SO happy i finally found a fantastic chinese takeout by me. I have been looking around for some really good chinese and craving lo mein. I called to place an order for pickup and the man who answered was super nice. Here is my review of the food! veg lo mein- was super tasty plentiful vegetables was not greasy what so ever egg roll - just the perfect crunch nicely fried General toas chicken- huge pieces of fresh chicken no mystery flavors or meat. Just the right amount of spice and sauce pork fried rice - VERY good great flavor and not greasy Prices are great This is exactly how i like my Chinese I will 100% be back soon!!! read more

So .... really been waiting .... You know what I mean .... New place opens and it's great for a few months and then BAM !!!! It goes downhill fast. That's NOT the case with MEET RICE. Loved them for the day they opened the doors .... really really good at a fair price. Everything we've tried -- Spareribs (well done of course), eggroll, shrimp with string beans and garlic sauce.... is top notch. Fours stars because they really need a dine in option. When ordering online they do not inform you of the wait. Waited 85 mins for order. Called up, person on the phone was not helpful and had slight attitude Dumplings in peanut sauce were good. Sesame chicken was good. Shrimp with broccoli was average. Hot and Spicy pork was not good, basically all vegetables with very little pork and there was nothing hot and spicy about it. Kids wanted plain lo mein, which is not on the menu so I ordered the chicken lo mein with no chicken. I got a tub of veggies with no noodles, not sure how they got that one messed up. Over all not impressed, stick to Da Hang on Broadway, much better and consistent. read more

Holy "bleep" this place is good! For some reason unknown to me, the Chinese take out restaurants near me that I once liked go through a cycle of being very good to good to blahhhh. I hate when you get pasty, rubbery tasting General Tzau or Sessme chicken. My son told me about "Meet Rice"and that it was good tasting, seasoned to your choice with meats and vegetables that were tasty and prepared very well. He was not wrong! While there are about a dozen closer to my house, meet rice is now our number one choice. You will not be disappointed. I will give a 1 year update to see if it stays the same, or slips down that slippery cost saving slope so many seem to follow. read more

ok..i dont usually go out of my way to leave a review on the "inteweb", but in this case i was compelled to. I have ordered from "Meet Rice" a few times since they opened and i have yet to be disappointed. The product they put out is outstanding as good as any Chinese food you would get in a fancy sit down premier Chinese restaurant. Last nights pick was Ginger baby bok choy w/ shrimp.. i was blown away by this dish the moment i took the cover off the container and smelled the fresh scent of ginger while staring at some beautiful plump juicy shrimp ( a lot of them) nestled on top of a generous portion of of vibrant green baby bok choy and scallion in a wonderful light sauce.. the shrimp were so flavorful and had the very lightest almost imperceptible amount batter on them that added so much to their amazing taste and texture.. the bok coy were cooked perfect.. crunchy goodness and delicious.. a perfect compliment to the shrimp in a delicious non greasy light sauce.. this dish is the real deal folks.. our egg rolls were as crispy and flavorful as you could ever get also.. i have had other dishes at meet rice including the noodle with shrimp dumpling and roast pork soup and the " 4 seasons".. along with some other typical stuff like lo mein.. etc.. ..it has all been very very good...i want to try some of the Thai dishes next. on top of all that the people are very nice and the delivery time has been very fast compared to others.. all in all if you have not tried this place ..please do!.. others have tried to make a go of this location since the popular Tina sold a few years ago.. they failed because they sucked.. i had my go to place, but meet rice have won me over..good for them. note to owners: please keep the product up to your current standards and success is yours!! read more

We ordered delivery on Sunday and told them ahead of time we had $100 bill for change. My total came to $26. I thought I was given a $50 and $20 then $4 singles but when I came inside to count it was 2 $20s. I called right away to explain and I was told I was wrong and the delivery driver gave me the right change. I even checked my ring camera for proof that I was given 2 $20s and $4 singles and they would not hear what I had to say. I wasn't upset about the error b/c mistakes happen but I thought they would fix it and give me my right change but that fact that they argued with me I will never return and would like others to know. So now I basically paid $56 for my $26 order and got very rude customer service. read more

Ordered from here for the first time on NYE and loved it! Crab rangooooons (tik tok made me crave them) we're great, scallion pancakes weren't too greasy. Had orange chicken, sweet and sour, moo goo tai pan, lo mein, it was all great. Also felt like it was slightly less expensive then other places. We had leftover for days. We are regular customers and typically have our food delivered. Just want to say... your food was always good, but lately, your food is even better. Right now, what is setting you apart from the other take-out places (for us, anyway) is the crabmeat cheese fried wonton and the steamed shrimp dumpling--just delicious, and a cut above everyone else. Coming from the city where there are options in every block this food is amazing! They have great customer service and it shows.

I got the coconut chicken combo. The rice was great but there was very little chicken and just a ton of vegetables. Someone else ordered the general tsos combo and there was a hair in it. We also ordered a sautéed broccoli with brown sauce and there was very little sauce. Overall the food was decent just a ton of little things adding up to a below average meal. read more

I think this may be the best takeout in town (and that's saying a lot since I feel like we have one or two on each block) We ordered the beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, dumplings and shrimp chow fun. All of the meats were not greasy at all, the dumplings weren't overly breaded. I think the shrimp chow fun was good but it wasn't my favorite. read more

we've ordered from here a few times already and for the most part everything was good. the mei fun noodles were enjoyed by all. sesame chicken was also tasty and fresh. what is great is that the food is not over salted. the only pass we're the vegetable spring rolls as they lacked flavor. the menu is interesting and i want to try other dishes. read more
