I love this place ! My go to whenever I'm craving Chinese food!! Consistently delicious for years and years

I ordered shrimp in garlic sauce. I asked for it to not be spicy and they were able to make it according to my specifications. It was really good. The vegetables included tasted very fresh. The dish had shrimp, carrots, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, snap peas, onions, etc. read more

J & J Best Kitchen - H. Shrimp with Garlic Sauce - Chinese Near Me - Seaford, New York

Very good take out Chinese food. A friend suggested I try this joint because I was growing tired of my usual takeout spot due to it's inconsistency. Everything I ordered was better than expected. Standard American favorites such as spare ribs, chicken and broccoli, pan fried dumplings, shrimp with string beans, sesame chicken, egg rolls, moo shu beef, wonton/egg drop soup mix and roast pork lo mein were all tasty. Asked for very little added oil, they were attentive and accommodating even though their phone was ringing off the hook and they were super busy. In the words of Arnold S., I'll be back. read more

Best Chinese food in Seaford. Family owned business. Delicious food. Really not an eat in place. Great for delivery and take out. Prices are very good. Large portions. Orders are correct every time. Service is excellent, friendly. Ambiance is busy and quick. I highly recommend if you are in the area or surrounding area. read more

I have ordered from J & Ja few times already. Although there Chinese food has been pretty good, their customer service needs some serious work! When ordering on the phone for pick up, I requested a Shrimp with mushrooms and bean sprouts. I did not know this was not an option, until the woman who was trying to take down my order screamed at me saying "that's not an option!!" After quickly adjusting my order to something that was, in fact, on their menu, I was hung up on. I tried calling again from my landline and received no answer. I then tried calling from my cellphone and had the same woman answer the phone. After telling her the first part of my order, she asked me what else I wanted to order. Even thoufh I told her the rest of my order, she told me I was taking too long. I was then hung up on once more. I tried calling once more to place my order and the same woman told me that she couldn't make my food and hung up on me. safe to say I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese food in the local area. the woman that works the phone is quite rude, impatient, and unwilling to explain things to you. read more

Our normal Chinese food place was closed today so we tried this one. The general tsos chicken were tiny little bits of dry, dark meat with breading on them. One piece had a bone in it that I bit. The chicken and broccoli had almost no sauce and the broccoli wasn't even cooked. I had to put it in the microwave. The chicken... I've never seen such shredded chicken in a meal before. The lo mein just didn't have flavor either. We won't be going back. read more

GREAT Chinese restaurant!!! It's a tiny little place so I definitely recommend take out. Parking lot is also small. The family that owns the place is super nice and they know all the regulars. My favorites are the wonton soup, chicken and broccoli, and chicken lo mein! Awesome family owned restaurant! Highly recommend read more

Great place. I'll usually order before leaving for work and pick up my food along the way. Every time I've ordered they've had my food ready before the listed pick up time. Good amount of food, their vegetables are fresh and their soup's are amazing. I usually get their wonton soup and a sweet and sour chicken or pork fried rice. Would 100% recommend. read more

Love the Spinach noodles and chicken! Favorite Chinese food place so far! Fast delivery too!

Solid local place. Quick delivery. Very accommodating to special requests. Best chicken noodle soup I've had from a Chinese place!

This place makes things tasty and quickly. Whenever I have a hankering for Chinese food, I always order from here through Yelp and have only good things to say about this place. My faves are the chicken wings, pork fried rice, shrimp & broccoli, and chicken lo mein. The prices are very reasonable, and I feel I get a large amount of food for what I paid :) read more

This is the only Chinese my mother, Mrs. O, will take-out. Here is what she told me on gchat: me: why is JJ so good? what do you order from there, is it busy? can you see this? mom: INow yes it is fresh and tasty. I get sesame chicken. The is very good. The wonton soup is good. me: ok is it busy? mom: I go for lunch at about 3PM and it is not busy. They deliver. A family operation with the kids there. me: thats good, i like that I've shared the lunch special with mom a bunch of times. I concur with her opinion completely. Good job, mom. read more

for chinese takeout in the seaford/massapequa/wantagh area, J&J is as good as it gets - don't let the bright lights & fancy advertisements at that other dump coughjen'scough fool you - this is the place to be for quality chinese takeout the biggest thing that sets J&J apart from the others is that everything is fresh & homemade, most importantly their crispy noodles...most chinese restaurants give you those pre-packaged shitty thin noodles that you can buy in the grocery store & taste like cardboard...not here, they're the nice big homemade delicious noodles that i grew up loving...all the food here is truly outstanding, fresh flavorful & delicious why 4 stars & not 5 then? basically, they have a tendency to be a little stingy from time to time, i shouldn't have to ask for the free egg roll they advertise when your order is $15+, and ordering a large soup should get you more of those delicious noodles than ordering a small, but an extra bag is an extra charge unfortunately - the sudden addition of a delivery charge a few years back didn't help matters either, i sort of understood when gas was approaching $5/gallon, but c'mon it's gone down & i'm around the block these little annoyances to one side, J&J really is a top notch chinese takeout, i would definitely recommend trying it to satisfy your next craving read more

After trying 5 different Chinese restaurants when.we moved to Massapequa, we came across JJ Best and never looked back. A family owned business, this place is quick and delicious. The cream cheese wontons are amazing and the chicken lo mein is the best in the area. read more

The best Chinese food in the area. Definitely my go to. I can't get enough of their wonton soup. It is perfect. I've tried others in the area and they are not consistent, if you can't get the basic wonton right, what about the rest of the menu? Their General Tso's chicken is perfect. Crispy but not over fried. I appreciate the white meat option. The store is clean and the staff is very friendly. You can find them on grubhub, always a plus for me. read more

Just had another great lunch wonton soup is amazing General tsaos chicken was delicious

Worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. They forgot an item in my order and the fried rice was horrible. Never had fried rice with just onions and chicken ever. Really gross! Do not order from this place read more

I honestly feel that the food was Not good at all! The service Sucked for the amount of time that I waited for my food to be prepared- Both were sitting in the dining room eating.. Usually when you come into a restaurant..You should feel welcomed- 2 things that I will point out because its very Concerning 1. The female that works there have Zero patience..She does Not and I mean Not put Napkins- Cutlery or any type of sauces in the bag! At allllll!!!!!! She Never say thank you! To be honest I would rather deal with the Man because he is more welcoming and much more friendlier- 2. She handles Money, Food, and at times her food! Not good..I will never go there again! Why do I have to give a star again? Zero stars!!! But being that i have to... Guess I will use the lowest read more

I go to J & J because I like to eat healthy and the Spinach Noodles and mixed veggies is my favorite. I also like Buddha's Delight. The very friendly staff always treat me like a VIP. Never had a problem with the food or service. read more

Eh. We live in the neighborhood and have gotten take out here a few times. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms from a can. I'll leave it at that. The food is acceptable in a pinch, but not one of our regular spots. read more

We have been going to J and J for many years. The last review has not been my experience at all. Owners are friendly and nice. The food is very good. Family moved to the area and also started using them. Don't believe bad reviews until you try for yourself. This is someone's business, and their livelihood. People should try for themselves. read more

DO NOT ORDER THRU SEAMLESS. Many occasions I have ordered thru this app and when I arrived to pick it up, they didn't even start cooking it yet. And from what I've seen when I am waiting for my order, many others are as well. They are slow. Call before you leave your house to make sure they actually started cooking. The food itself is nothing special typical takeout. On top of having to wait 20 minutes for my last order, I get home and shocker the ribs are burnt totally black! Do yourself a favor and order from Jani or Jen's! read more

I have had alot of different Chinese places since I moved back to Seaford I was living in Levittown and had all my favorite places. I tried one after the other then I tried J & J and there was delicious. The food is fresh and hot. Their Sesame Chicken is all white meat and is to die for. I love their Sesame noodles and the Egg foo young the brown gravy is fantastic. I have never wrote a review on any restuarant but I would suggest them to anyone for take out. There reasonably priced and like I said Delicious. Love you guys Hudson Avenue, Seaford. read more

Food poor quality. Management unfriendly. Service poor. Not a decent place to order or eat Chinese food read more

3 stars may not seem like a good review, but don't let that fool you. Some other local Chinese restaurants lack consistancy and J & J wants to reward existing and new customers by making the same food each time. This was the first time I was here and do look forward to going back. The new online ordering system is innovative for a restaurant of this size. You should try that as well as ask for some more of the home made crispy noodles. We enjoyed the spicy beef and all fried items were crispy and not greasy. This is hard to find. The wonton soup may have benefited from a slightly more flavorful wonton filling, but thats just my opinion. The broth was outstanding though and tasted complex. My next review would give this at least four stars if my next visit has the same care and taste as this first time. read more

Food here is pretty good, although I prefer the Wonton Soup from a place down the block. Lunch specials are a great value that can't be beat. Only complaint is that they seem very disorganized. They tell you 15-20 minutes, you get there to pick it up at 20 minutes and you're still waiting at 30 minutes. Also, if you pick up your food, make a mental note to watch them bag it...several times I have had to tell them they forgot something. read more

J&J is the BEST Chinese in the area. Always delicious, order is always correct (and we make lots of changes & special requests), very nice family too.
