The delivery man however knocked but didnt call and then left so after an hour passed i called and he said someone answered and said wrong place which were the people who lived downstairs. I've only been here for wonton soup before. The first time I went, I received something different from soup & was given an attitude even though I said "this is the soup?" To reaffirm the order. I gave it another shot. I called in the order and was told the total was $4 but when I went in to luck it up, I had to go back to my car for more money, (?) and more expensive than it was last time. The soup I got last time had less wontons in it this time, which is not acceptable & very confusing. No napkins or a spoon. The bag is soaking wet by the time I get halfway down the block. (Why isn't the soup closed?) No "hello" No "thank you" No "goodbye" No consistency. The only thing I've seen both times is the bad attitude. The lady seems grumpy and was standoffish and rude both times I've gone in. Honestly, I'd give this a half star at most but that's not possible so I figured this was the most fitting review. I've read some things on here than what I experienced so I might try a third time, but will most likely probably not. read more

I've been to this place since I was a kid. In fact, my family would specifically order from there with SO many Chinese restaurants available on Long Island, despite being a town over. To put it simply...I will still travel to Cheng's when I can despite not living near there. That says a lot. Super friendly family-oriented people; still going strong and they still remember me from years ago. I know everyone has their favourite place, but hear me out when I say you HAVE to try their beef and broccoli. When you go see a band, you expect them to play the hits. This band gives you one of the best performances. Fresh crisp carrots added...I remember them crinkle cut, a brown sauce that isn't congealed or too salty or too umami. It is thin yet thick, salty yet sweet and rich and savory. The Broccoli is always cooked well and the beef is fall-apart tender. Perfectly velveted. In fact, everything I've ever had at this place is rungs above other places. Any time I've recommended or introduced this place to someone with whatever their menu tastes are, they loved it. read more

The other night I was looking for chinese takeout, and decided I wanted to try a new place for whatever reason...after reading the positive reviews on here, I decided to give cheng's a shot...basically, it was just ok...I read a review elsewhere that raved about the boneless ribs, which is exactly what i was in the mood for...well, I must say I was a bit disappointed, much chewier than they should be & the flavor just wasn't there...roast pork buns were bland at best...moo shu pork was decent, but i've had better, and the crab rangoons were soggy after just a 5 minute car ride...more than all of this, they were a bit overpriced compared to my usual spots in the area...i don't think they'll be getting my business anymore read more

Delicious. Hands down the best Chinese take out around. I ate the entire lunch. The hot and sour soup was loaded with good stuff. The sesame chicken was very tasty. We had Chicken Lomein and Hot and Sour soup that had chicken in both that tasted fatty. The Crispy Orange Beef was soggy, not crispy.

Best Chinese food ever. Always fresh, hot and tasty. Even had them cater my kids events at times. Nice people too.

Had food delivered from here twice and both times it was very satisfying. Everything just seems to be so fresh. Crab Rangoons and Egg Rolls are so light and crispy, and didn't leave that heavy feeling in your stomach afterwards.
