I have been looking for a Chinese takeout, closer to home in North Bellmore, comparable to my regular Ming Sing on Hicksville Road in Seaford, which I found to be the absolute best, after trying no less than eight establishments in the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport area. Most Friday afternoons, I order their Roast Pork Egg Foo Young with fried rice luncheon special as well as a small portion of their House chow mei fun, enjoying the mei fun for lunch and saving the Foo Young for Saturday and Sunday morning brunch. It reheats very well, despite having to blot the rice for accumulated oil. Both dishes are consistently delicious, the omelets are often as wide in circumference as the takeout container, the rice is chock full of pork and perfectly cooked onions and the brown sauce excellent. The mei fun always has its fair share of expected ingredients. I was delighted to find Chun Chun Kitchen, a stone's throw from home and ordered the luncheon special last Friday. The "fried" rice wasn't fried, was yellow and devoid of diced pork. The two omelets were about twice the size of silver dollar pancakes, over cooked, slightly burned on one side and smelled of over used oil. Their brown sauce was very good but not good enough to bring the murdered omelet ingredients back to life. I realize I'm comparing apples to apples, Egg Foo Young to Egg Foo Young, one dish out of your typical huge take-out menu of choices and that whoever was working the wok that day wasn't having their best day. However, I was willing to swap loyalties for the sake of convenience, if Chun Chun Kitchen offered a superior, if not similar quality to Ming Sing in Seaford or at least had maintained some sort of quality control prior to pick up. Unfortunately, as with any take-out, unless you examine your order on the premises, you don't know if there is a problem until you get home. Anyway, I was sorely disappointed and will be happy to go the extra mile, back to Seaford, to enjoy my weekend brunch! There are far more pressing issues in life. read more

I love this restaurant for an easy dinner when I don't feel like cooking. I typically order their beef with broccoli, and their beef is really well marinated, soft and flavorful. Their broccoli is nice and crunchy with the perfect texture and coding of sauce. There's sezchuan chicken is good, but can get a old chicken smell if you eat it the next day. They usually give a good amount of meat, so one a large platter can last 2 to 3 meals! read more

I have been going here for about a year now. The food was always great. But two weeks ago the food was bland so I decided to give them one more chance today. Well they failed us. I ordered chow mei fun house special for my husband and he had some but didn't finish due to the fact that there was only a few small shrimp. Its location is listed as Wantagh (it is only one block from the Wantagh border) but it's located in the North Bellmore district of Nassau County. I came upon this place (which is located between where I live in Levittown and my sister lives in No. Bellmore.) after we both said come over for Chinese Food our place is awesome. Well glad to say she won, hands down because we gained a new place that is far superior to what I thought was great food. We have our usual stand-by delivery but were getting sick of it because its taste is just plain. The Awesome Chinese food place we now realize after one time of going in to pick up our food is gross and we will never return. We were always having it delivered so we didn't know. But Chun Chun is spotlessly clean, friendly, and has tasty, reasonably priced food and you get a lot for each item you order. The Chicken and Broccoli are evenly metered out, (not like some places that have too many vegetables, and not enough Chicken). Their Brown Sauce is delicious. I love the Chicken and Mushrooms, Roast Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, and Boneless Spareribs. They are always cooked just right and are not hard as a rock as some places tend to overcook, Chun Chun's are always on point. We also enjoy their Chicken with Brown Sauce with Brown Rice as well as Egg Foo Young and Sesame Chicken. You can count on this place to be consistent with your food orders. They have a Lunch and Dinner Special Menu and will accommodate your substitutions if need be. They are very nice people and want to see you enjoy their food. Sometimes you just feel like ordering greasy Chinese food even though you know it will make you feel gross. Mission accomplished. I really do rely on Yelp when choosing places to eat. This place didn't have too many ratings and not much information on its food. But I was craving wonton noodle soup and this was the closest thing to it I could find. Would I order from here again? Probably not. But I also don't order Chinese fast food takeout often. Maybe once every few years. Then I regret it and remind myself not to. I ordered the fried wontons (12 pcs), something called "pancakes" (4 pcs), roast pork wonton soup, chicken lo mein, and chicken fried rice. Meh.. my husband and I were able to get full with maybe half the food still left over, which wasn't bad for ~$15 but it wasn't a satisfying feeling. The wontons were surprisingly not too oily despite being deep fried, but the wonton shell to filling ratio was sad, and I never had a wonton with a beef pulling before. The sweet and sour sauce that came with it (literally half a pint of it) had a gross thick consistency that seemed very artificial. Had a nice crunch, but there was just too much shell, so it wasn't the easiest thing to eat. My husband, who picked up the order (ordered via Eat24; the order was ready about 15 mins after we placed the order), came home asking why they gave us a roll of tortillas. I told him I had no idea what they would go with, and that it was the strangest thing.. until I realized it was the "pancakes" that I had ordered. Really thought the pancakes would be scallion pancakes but nope, it was cold tortillas rolled up and wrapped with saran wrap. Really strange. The roast pork wonton soup was a wonton soup that had over cooked pieces of shredded roast pork in it that barely tasted like roast pork. The wonton soup broth tasted the way it should, scattered with scallions, but the husband complained that it was loaded with msg (I couldn't really tell). The wontons were the same wontons as the fried wontons, except boiled/steamed not fried. So again, thick skin and minimal pork filling. Satisfied the craving though. I always forget the difference between lo mein and chow mein and I realized I probably wanted chow mein. The chicken lo mein looked really oily, but tasted ok. The chicken was soft and seasoned well, probably the best cooked meat of everything we ordered. The chicken fried rice was super oily, had big roughly diced pieces of onions and very white chicken in it. My husband said he liked this the most out of everything (but possibly just because he likes rice in general and there wasn't much competition). Remind me not to order Chinese fast food again. I ordered a General Tso's Combination platter with pork fried rice. First of all the pork fried rice is not pork fried rice it is yellow rice with maybe one or two tiny pieces of pork and onions. THE RICE WAS NOT EVEN FRIED. The chicken was good but not crispy enough. Overall taste of the sauce was good however not enough of it on my platter leaving most of the chicken dry. Wonton soup was decent. Asked for duck sauce and didn't get any. Won't be ordering from here again. read more

We used to like this place very much, but we were using a place closer to us. Because of the issue with Covid we couldn't go there anymore so we tried this place again. Huge disappointment. The food Preparation looked and smelled wonderful by itself, but the problem is everything tasted like chlorine. I don't know if it's from our horrible SE Nassau water or they soaked everything In actual bleach, but the food was, for all intents and purposes, inedible. read more

This was may be the worst Chinese food I ever had in my life. I ordered sesame chicken. The meat was so dark/red I thought I was eating duck. It was completely inedible. I threw it right in the trash. Their egg rolls which I managed to eat were like Costco frozen out of the box. I honestly don't know how anyone would eat here and give it a high recommendation. It is worth the drive to Jen's in Massapequa or Kwong Ming to get decent food. This is officially off the list. read more

Great restaurant, order from here almost every week they never over charge and are always delivering quickly. I always like to try new things and I have yet to order something that I do not like. Being to the restaurant you can see that they keep it very clean and are more than polite. Some of the best Chinese I've ever had. Why? It's always fresh, barely greasy and just the right amount of salt. Too often Chinese food is overly great and salty and really heavy. Not this. Whether we get the soups or the dinners it is consistently amazing. Great to have as a leftover as it's not greasy whatever kind of sauce is in the food doesn't separate.
