Yay an actual Chinese spot that reminds me of all the goodies I eat in queens and the city without the schlep to queens or the city to get them! Staff is really nice and friendly and super fast. Everything we had wasn't crazy ladened with msg and all was flavored and seasoned perfectly. Homestyle lamb with cilantro did not have an overpowering cilantro taste but had generous portions of lamb in it. The chives with sliced tofu skin had a light sauce packed with great flavor too. Must try their sauteed sour beans with minced pork. Nice spicy briney kick in every bite! The portions are generous and again love that you don't wait forever and a day to receive your order once placed when dining in. Will definitely be back here with a larger group for our next meal!

A green plastic thing is inside the fish dish

This restaurant is very disgusting! I ordered grilled fried fish and a plastic green thing was found inside the dish. I called the restaurant to file complaint, and the restaurant said I was bullshit. They said " if you ordered this dish again, we can give you 50% off discount for next time. I said fine, I will go ahead to file dispute and report to food safety. Therefore, a photo of the plastic green thing that was found in the dish with the receipt is attached here for reference.

Ox Tendon and Tripe with Hot Chili Sauce

3.5 Stars Decent Chinese restaurant in the area. We ordered several dishes for take out and all of them had lots of flavor, a bit too much on the saucy/salty side. Some dishes we got: - Ox Tendon and Tripe with Chili Sauce: perfectly tender meat and tripe, just a hint of spice. - Fried Chicken Cubes in Chili Pepper: plenty of diced chicken that were crispy on the outside, even after the car ride back home. The pieces were pretty small but there were lots of fried chilis. The fried garlic was also a great compliment. - Braised meatballs: I usually love this dish and although the meat was very tender, the sauce was too salty for me. It was more on the overpowering side. - Sliced Beef with Green Chili Peppers: the beef was tender and the chili peppers weren't too spicy but the dish overall was just okay. Crispy Sweet & Sour Fish: sauce comes on the side, which kept the fish crispy. The fish chunks were thick and came right off. The sauce can be a bit too much. Overall, would probably come back since there aren't many Chinese restaurants around here. It was easy ordering and pick up. I wasn't too surprised that the food was on the saltier side so definitely just eat the dishes over rice.

What happen to their chef? Frankly, the dishes I ordered were all like from a street mall Chinese kitchen.

    Baiju... quite a kick

Another marvelous meal at BH!. Its BYOB and we brought Sake, beer and white wine to get into a rockin mood...which we accomplished We were in the mood for smoking spicy dishes so we started with Dan Dan Noodles. And Chive Dumplings, pancake and Pea Pod Leaves eaten with copious quantities of red hot chili oil......all delish! For mains we had Fish Filets in pot of red hot oil, Bacon, and Half Crispy Roast Duck made for an outstanding dinner.... Can't wait for next meal there

The Hot & Soup soup was realllly good. Wowza

Dick G, a yelper whom I respect sat next to me at a Yelp Event. We were having a few drinks and talking about some of our favorite new spots. I mentioned I wanted to go to Beijing House for lunch but I passed. He said big mistake, Beijing House is really good. Sold! I walked in during lunchtime Friday afternoon. Beijing House is packed out! I was shown to one of the last empty tables. The lunch menu is substantial, lots of tasty choices. I didn't see brown rice as an option, I ordered the lunch soup to start. There are a few choices, my go to soup is always Hot & Sour. For my entree, I ordered General Tsao's chicken. My soup comes out and man, it is crazy good. They put a lot of love in this soup. Lots of ingredients, one of the best Hot & sour soups I ever had. If you like H&S, you need to come to Beijing House just for the soup. My General Tsao's chicken? What a large lunch portion. Oh, and no forks were brought to my table. I could have asked but I'm here at the house of house of Beijing. And the house always wins. Chopsticks it is. The General Tsao's chicken, plumply little things to pick up with sticks! I had some rice, some chicken, some more rice. I got into a groove and the chicken? Forget Kung Pow, call it General Pow! Soooo good and not heavily breaded, this was truly a great lunch special. And all for under ten dollars? This is the best deal on Long Island! I told my wife, this was one of the best Chinese I had in a long time. We have to go one lazy Saturday together. Dick G? I give you the nod, excellent choice.

Menu 4. Sliced Fish in Hot Pepper Oil

I like it. Make sure when you order the special beef soup noodle. It's large bowl, share with friends, you can't finish it. At least, I can't finish it The corn with Yolk is very tasty, try it!!!! Some dishes are a little salty; make sure if you can't eat much salty, you may ask to put less salt.

This is supposedly house fried rice
    Jay M.

Does this look like house fried rice? Obviously this is not fried rice AND that's ham... Wtf? Why would they put ham in house fried rice? Threw this in the trash, money wasted. The rest of the family said their food was bland. Would not recommend

Best Mapo tofu I've had. Perfect balance of heat and flavor to off becomes silky and the leeks -- perfection.

The were only 2 other people in the restaurant. The hostess brought us to a booth. Very comfortable. Waiter appeared a few minutes later and presented us with a tablet to order our meals. It was easy and it was great to see what the dishes looked like. We ordered mango lava milk and the holden chrysanthemum tea pot. Lava milk was nice and not too sweet and the chrysanthemum tea was a good choice to compliment the meal. We ordered the steamed pork soup dumplings. Cooked to perfection. We also ordered the half Peking duck and spicy black fish. The Peking duck was served with pancakes to wrap the duck as well as cucumber, pineapple and hoisin sauce. Duck tasted delicious not greasy at all. It was my favorite part of the meal. Spicy black fish was good as well and not too spicy. This is a high end Chinese fusion restaurant. Prices are high but you are paying for the presentation and experience. Footnote: This restaurant is listed as a Resy restaurant. AmEx Platinum Card will give you a $100 credit every 3 months that you dined at Resy restaurants. For some reason they way the waiter rang up the bill on the tablet it came up as take out ?!? Crazy! AmEx still gave us the credit after we called it un.

Hakka chicken - failed to deliver on the promise of flavor. Had good taste but nothing note worthy. Seems to have fallen on the bland side Pad Thai - more saucy than other places. Shrimp in the dish are all tiny baby shrimp. Tastes a bit none traditional but overall pretty good. Their side of hot sauce is a very interesting one. Unique flavor. Would I come back? If you have ever fantasized about Flushing-style dining without the bumper-to-bumper parking wars,…read morethis place is your mash-up dream, and now with sushi and dim sum in the mix, it's basically a pan-Asian buffet for decision fatigue. Sure, I could drive into the heart of Queens for the real Flushing pilgrimage, but sometimes I just want quality Shanghai soup dumplings, honey walnut shrimp, or a bowl of wonton soup without an existential parking debate. And honestly? They actually deliver: from soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings to classics like sesame chicken and Roast Pork Lo Mein, it hits way above your typical suburban take-out, without thinning your wallet. This year, under the new management, they have even added sushi rolls (yes, California Rolls slide in alongside the dim sum), so the whole family can be content. It's like your craving said "I want everything," and someone actually listened. Bottom line: When I do want Flushing, I'll schlep there. But for the 9 out of 10 times that I want great dumplings, crispy orange beef, and even a sushi fix, without circling like it's a derby, this spot scratches that itch perfectly... smartly tucked into Syosset.
