I visited the area around Max's Grille in Boca Raton recently and was genuinely disturbed by what appeared to be happening right next to the restaurant's service area. Large buckets of ice were sitting uncovered and exposed to the elements, with insects and debris around them. A staff member later used that same ice for table service. I chose not to dine after witnessing this, as it raised serious hygiene and food-safety concerns that any restaurant should take seriously. read more

We walked in without a reservation and were promptly offered an outdoor table to our preference. Marcos warmly greeted us and had such an amiable and genuine demeanor. Our dishes were perfection. We dined the night before at the Seafood Bar at the Breakers and to our surprise, we were more impressed at Max's Grille's. The chef today delivered entrees that were on point! I ordered the shrimp scampi. The shrimp was crispy and fresh having the perfect balance of seasoning while the pasta was al dente and tastily drenched with light cream sauce. The dishes were reminiscent of the food we had in local hotspots of Italy and Greece. The grilled trout was also flaky, tender and flavorful. Tomato bisque was one of the best we've had - not salty which is a rarity these day and hearty with chunks of fresh tomatoes. Key lime pie, cheesecake and cappuccinos were generous in size and tasted great. Marcos and his manager checked on us throughout our lunch and both delivered quintessential service. We were dumbfounded by the combination of excellence, professionalism and kindness. We were just visiting Boca Raton for a day but now we really want to come back again especially with the intention to visit Max's Grille again. read more

Delicious food and attentive servers. Great atmosphere. Went while vacationing in Boca Ratan.

Been going to Maxs since they opened many years ago one of the few places left from the originals. The food is still consistently outstanding. Service continues to be top notch, and the mood is always upbeat. read more

Had an enjoyable time at Maxes last night. The food and drinks were good, And most importantly, our server Vanessa was excellent! She was attentive, personable and great at her job. She's contributed to the three of us having a wonderful evening! read more

First timer. Our server had a wonderful smile and gave us great service. My wife loved the tomato bisque and the atmosphere was great. I ordered the meatloaf because it was their specialty. I was not impressed with what I ordered and wish I ordered something else. Others may enjoy it though. I also don't care for very dim atmosphere and I'm sure they would've adjusted if I asked. Still, I want to return and try it again. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but I just had to shoutout the chicken caprese sandwich from Max's, it was absolutely incredible! Like best sandwich ever. Our server seemed a bit quirky but he was really sweet. We've been coming to this restaurant for over a decade, it's always been a staple. Solid choice and always a lively place, especially if you eat outside or sit at the bar outside. read more

Definitely coming back for happy hour! They've got great choices including many $5 beers and $7 cocktails. I had the spicy watermelon Margarita which was absolutely delicious, didn't taste spicy as you drank it but left your lips with a warm burn. Dinner was great as well. The table loves the tuna to split as an appetizer. I had the vegetable stir fry which was delicious, it definitely seems like more veggies than carbs so it felt healthy. I also had the fish tacos, they were good. read more

Came here for a last minute birthday dinner. Made resos and got sat right away at a nice window booth. It's a big place with nice bars inside and outside the restaurant. 5/5 Chicken lettuce wraps - Delicious, not too sweet and had a nice crunch from cashews. Sauce on side was a tad too thick and sweet. The server offered to bring a spicy mayo sauce that was way better with the wrap and sushi. I would definitely recommend trying their spicy mayo on everything. It had more flavor than others I've had before. 5/5 Garden (vegetabe) roll - One of the best vege sushi roll I've ever had. I think the kanpyo really made the roll. It brought a yummy umami flavor to the roll that put it all together nicely. I believe the menu said there were sesame seeds in the roll but it did not and was actually glad there wasn't because I'm not a sesame seed fan. 4/5 Skirt steak with Korean marinade - It wasn't overly sweet but the sauce on the side of zucchini was a tad too sweet for me. The crispy onions on top was a nice touch. The skirt steak was cut up in 4 pieces so that was nice for sharing. I would have liked the zucchini to be 4 long slices of nicely grilled strips instead of a large halved zucchini with light grilling. And maybe 1 more piece of steak would have been nice but it was still a good portion. 5/5 Blueberry compote burnt cheesecake - Not too sweet and thick cut. Fresh made whipped cream and blueberry compote was excellent. Just wished it would have came out with a candle like I asked for this birthday evening. 5/5 Our server Rachel was excellent! Attentive, sweet, genuine and got everything we asked for right away. Didn't have to say anything twice or keep asking for things, which I really appreciate. She was very apologetic and said that it wasn't ok that there was no candle on our dessert. She never got the message from the host or server I spoke with. 0/5 The communication with a server and front desk host when I told them we were there for a birthday and what they do for that. Didn't get her name but the server said you can pick a dessert and they put a candle on it. We went through some of the desserts and I picked one. She said she would tell my server but SHE NEVER DID!!! Luckily Rachel came to save the day and got us a candle right away. She was nice to take off the dessert from the check since they make you pay for a birthday dessert here. All in all I think I check out this place again but not come back for a birthday. read more

My rating did not increase - even though I had the same waiter, Luciano who is very good. I just don't like the changes they made in the menu and my husband's favorite pasta has been eradicated from the menu! We did end up with Nashville Hot chicken with fries (good), a cheese burger with fries (good) and blackened shrimp in tacos with guacamole. We sat outside under the fans and enjoyed the ambiance - there was music coming out of the next door restaurant which was sometimes good and sometimes too loud. I am happy that this restaurant is still around after all the changes in Mizner Park but I am not loving their new menu. read more

Nice place for happy hour. Great burger on the special along with a few other offerings.

Max's Grille continues to excel with its strong presence in the Boca Raton's Meizner Park community. That has been achieved through its management, its front line staff, to the servers and to all those behind the scenes that provide exceptional customer recognition and service. The menu works well for everyone and I know that with their consistency the food is always delicious. With a party of eight, our servers attenuated to all of our needs without a glitch, which made our dining experience enjoyable and fun. Thank you again Max's Grille. read more

My son asked where would you like to go with the family? They came up from Miami to be with Mima. That's what they call me my grandchildren Max's Grill that's my favorite restaurant and when it's your favorite and it's Mother's Day, I get to order what I want I have the Red snapper fillet with crab. Oh my God it was delicious. My son had the swordfish. It came out perfect and the kids had chicken. Of course that's their favorite and talk about fine dining. We sat in a different room. It made the whole experience new. I can't tell you how good it was. I can only rave about the food service and the kindness to go with it. What a wonderful Mother's Day I had I just decided to go a little different and I got what I wanted. Definitely I even had dinner for the next day. It was a nice plate of food And cooked to perfection. I even tried the truffle fries that my granddaughter ordered. They were very good too. This has been my favorite restaurant for over 30 years. Love this place. The Brussel sprouts is stuff food porn is made of. I have to have them 2/3 x month to keep life in balance. My go to salad is the loaded Caesar with grilled chicken. Don't take my word for it, stop by and hang with the terrific wait staff and enjoy life, especially sitting under the shaded area with plenty of people watching to go with the ambiance. Still great after all these years! The food was excellent, the staff attentive and friendly, and the ambience was fun and lively.

This place has a really cool vibe. Lots of outdoor seating, fun bar area and a more traditional dining area. If there is one thing keeping this place from a 5 star, it is the parking. They have valet, but get backed up pretty easily. There is a parking garage around the corner that is free. Just about a 3 - 5 min walk. Food is excellent! My recommendation would be the meatloaf. I got the BBQ on the side, so closer to my keto diet. Drinks were pricey, but I am told that is just Boca. Service is also good, but it is a busy place so you may have to make eye contact with your server, but they rush right over. Enjoyed a nice evening and we will be back when we are in the area. Thanks again Maria, you did well! read more

Sitting at the bar outside with 70 degree weather = WIN!! Bartenders are super nice and attentive. Only came for happy hour...May stay for dinner. But for the happy hour drinks - the margarita was great (not pictured- drank too quick !) . Spicy tuna roll was pretty good. I ate it way too fast which must be a good thing! Espresso martini is not on happy hour menu but it's def worth it . And strong as requested - which was much needed after a bad day . Beautiful spot and perfect location for people watching. We came during an art festival so the usual brunch was limited. The restaurant is very nice inside. Service was good. Food was eh. The spinach dip was very good. Didn't care for the homefries. My mom and daughter didn't care for their egg breakfast sand which. My daughters bacon that was on her sandwich was not cooked well. My son said it was fine. My chicken bruschetta sandwich was okay. Not great not terrible. I have to say I was disappointed this time around. The food is usually so much better. They should have done a better job since people were coming for the art fair who most likely had never been there. Definitely did not win any new customers as far as I am concerned. read more

Thank you for a very enjoyable evening. Also thank you for being honest. You were very clear when I made the reservation that 20% gratuity would be added to the bill because we had a party of 6. The waitress also emphasized it when paying and instructed us to hit zero for the tip amount when paying so we would not be double charged. This was honest and completely unlike the restaurant we ate at the day before. She was wonderful and we appreciated the entire experience. read more
