We were luck to get a reservation on short notice in the night of the season. Table was ready when we arrived. Our waiter was Sean and he suggested good food options for us. The drinks were delicious as well as the appetizers. Dinner was a 10 out of 10 and dessert was a home run! Loved the crème brûlée pie. Never tasted or saw anything like that. I wrote this to the restaurant and received no reply. Your restaurant is one of my friend's favorites. So, when she came down to Florida for a week, I wanted to dine with her there. Although I am vegan, I saw you had vegan mozzarella on your online menu. I could have a salad and order the vegan mozzarella instead of the non vegan cheese. I ordered the chopped salad with the vegan cheese. You didn't have that cheese. I ordered the chopped salad with no cheese. I couldn't believe how skimpy the salad was. I asked the waiter for additional corn and got a tablespoon of that. It's limited enough that you offer no vegan dishes, but when a vegan tries to order a modified non vegan dish, and that turns out to be so disappointing, I wonder what your thinking is. Since you are so popular, this probably means nothing to you, but since the number of vegans is growing, you might want to reconsider your policy. Thank you. read more

WOW!!! This place is AMAZING! I can't wait to go back. This might be my favorite restaurant in Boca. Definitely the best service in town. Our server, David, went above and beyond for us! He was so kind to my 2 year old and made great suggestions for us. We all agreed he was the best server we've ever had! Moving on to the drinks and food, #AMAZING! The drinks were so good, we got the strawberry Basil and the jungle bird. They had so many yummy drink options, I can't wait to go back and try more. For food, we got a kids pizza, tomato bisque, fries, and the house salad with blackened shrimp. The shrimp were so fresh and the flavor was amazing! The salad was so good too along with the dressing. The fries were perfect, crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside. The soup had a little kick to it but was delicious. The pizza was of course great too. I had a reservation with my friend tonight and took some time until we get a server. The young blonde lady wasn't too friendly, didn't smile, and when we asked for a extra glass of wine, it was very dirty. I asked again, we get another one dirty and finally I called the manager to get me a clean glass. She seems like was rushing us to order something, but we only Ordered two appetizers and drinks. There is a great happy hour deal here Monday - Friday from 4-6:30pm. Half-price cocktails under $15 and half-price appetizers. ALSO, half price wine EVERYDAY 5-6:30pm and ALL DAY MONDAY. Our server, Michael P, was diligent and did a great job at providing excellent customer service. We arrived around 5pm on a thursday night and had no trouble being seated at a booth for our party of four. The food was fantastic! Here's what I recommend: Appetizer: Option 1- We had the crispy brussel sprouts ($10) and it was not your average brussel sprouts dish. It's baked brussel sprouts tossed in a asiago aioli sauce and mixed with shiitake mushrooms. It is a large portion that can be shared between 2-4 people depending on everyone's appetite. Option 2 - crispy calamari & zucchini with lemon-caper aioli and spicy tomato sauces ($15). The lightly breaded & fried pieces of calamari and zucchini are a great start with options of veggies or seafood for your party. The portion size is enough to share between 2-3 people. Main Entree: I had the crab crusted snapper ($29) and OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was fantastic!! I have tasted my fair share of fish, this is definitely a perfectly cooked snapper. The crab cooked on the exterior is a splendid light-tasting compliment. Dessert: Key lime pie ($5) with raspberry drizzle and warm flourless chocolate cake ($10) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. both of these desserts are delicious options, just depends if you're looking for a tart & fruity or sweet& savory dessert. read more

Max's is your standard casual Boca restaurant smack dab in the middle of Mizner Park. There's nothing specifically wrong with any of the food there, but there is also little that stands out to the extent that I would make a special trip to sample. Having eaten here many times over the years, I've sampled their burgers, salads, pasta, and the one steak on the menu which is an 8 ounce filet.....nothing to write home about. Nevertheless, the servers are friendly, they can accommodate large groups and children, and whatever you order will be decent enough. The best way I can think of describing this restaurant is the perfect fallback or default location if you cannot get reservations somewhere else. Sorry guys. That's what you are. You have a great location and a great space which caters to the locals and tourists. I recently had a mahi sandwich, fries, a shrimp cocktail, and an Arnold Palmer which was refreshing and refilled several times free of charge. The beverage aside, the food is done well but fails to distinguish and and elevate itself above many other quality restaurants in the area. read more

They basically forgot about us a few times. The servers were nice but it's grossly under staffed. Not living up to the Tucker Max reputation. Also, the food was not so great. It wasn't bad, but like a step below cheesecake factory but a little more expensive. Not that I go to the cheesecake factory much. But for $23 the steak salad should have delicious steak, not chewy forgettable flavored mystery meat. This is very much not a 4 star restaurant. I debated one or two stars for this, but the absentee service and mediocre food at too high of a price knocked it down. I'd avoid going back. Oh and the drink special apple cider mojito was not special and the truffle fries weren't bad. read more

I had the Mongolian salmon and a lychee martini- both were absolutely delicious and my guest had the brunch Omelette and mango margarita which he said was really good too! Our waiter was very attentive and we had a nice large table to sit at. The Mongolian salmon was cooked to perfection (medium well for me) and so juicy and flavorful highly recommend trying that dish! It was nice to walk into a trusty feeling place. An American steak house with dark wood interiors and a large sturdy bar. We had tried a few experimental places lately and it felt time to go to a "classic" type spot. We walked in yesterday and were immediately brought to the table of our choice, a big booth. Smart, quick service is always a great start. Our waitress was over soon after, and was as kind and pleasant as you could ask for. she had the waters at the ready, and went over the specials with ease. They have a fun cost effective special they do where if 2 people get certain entrees they get an appetizer, desert and a bottle of wine thrown in. After debating a bit, we settled on getting that special. Meanwhile our waitress brought out the complimentary bread. But it wasn't bread, it was hummus and sesame seed cracker sticks. Pretty darn good. So good that we ate it all. We had also added an additional appetizer of crispy Brussels sprouts. By the time the food showed up we were full from the nice appetizers and wine. Oh, the other appetizer I had was the Southwestern tortilla soup. It was surprisingly good. I say that as often its more of a cheap broth. but this bowl of goodness was chunky! My meal was the crab crusted snapper. I had a few bites. It was perfect. flaky and fresh from the kitchen. But I was stuffed so took it home for later. I can tell you even though I ended up having it hours later, it was glorious. Next time we want a classic American classy spot in Boca East, we have our spot. read more
