Max Movers are very engaging with the customer and supper efficient in packing it up and moving everything in a timely manner. I was stressed about my 50" inch tv that i had just bought (birthday gift to myself) but was impressed by how they handled everything delicately. I had to move my mini bar, sofa, coffee table and a my bed to storage (Fremont to San Francisco) and they were able to get everything in one ride i liked that was able to save some money. To cut this story short use them next time you planning on moving you won't regret it. read more

HIGHKY RECOMMEND these movers. Very quick and professional staff. My families single family home was moved and everything turned out great. We had lots of worries and doubts on chosing a TRUSTWORTHY moving company to take pretty much our life belongings. but Aaron the driver and his movers assured us and called us every step of the way. Were so happy with out decision in chosing these movers!!! FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS FOR THE EXCELLENT FRIENDLY MOVERS!!!!! read more

I give 5 stars to the guys who actually helped us move (Isaac, George and Steven). They showed up in the hour they said they would and worked SO hard getting everything into the truck. It was a long day but they never complained and were really friendly. We bought them snacks, drinks, and eventually pizza and they only took two 10 minute breaks to eat and then started moving again. I was really impressed with them. 4 stars because I was surprised the day of when they told me I was going to be charged for the wrapping of my items and for the wardrobe box use. This would have been fine had I been told in advance but when I asked the person I made reservations with they said "we have wardrobe boxes and we wrap everything". Nothing was ever mentioned about $25 for boxes and $35 for wrapping. Isaac called his boss for me who has pretty awful customer service skills. When I got on the phone all he said was "hello you have to pay". When I told him I was never informed about these extra fees he said it was in the email that was sent to me which I never got, no one had ever asked for my email. In the end they didn't charge me for the boxes or wrapping which I appreciated but just make sure you ask for a price list before booking! read more

I just wanted to say how good these guy's service is. They really did a great job taking care of my stuff while transporting them. The way I packed them was the way I got them, so once again thanks guys. I really recommend them to anyone who would like to move. Thank you max movers!!! read more

**Update: adding a star as they contacted me and wanted to understand fully what we were disappointed about, as well as find a way to rectify the fact that we were not happy with the experience. They offered a partial refund which is very appreciated!! I still feel there could have been more communication up front but again, appreciate the fact that they are concerned with having an unhappy customer. Original review: Very disappointed, especially considering the good reviews on here. Called and explained the situation - moving from two 1 bedroom apartments into one new apartment that is down the street from one of the old places. Seemed to be fine, no issues. Time of arrival was set for 8-9am, and said they would call me the night before to confirm. Did not receive a call the night before - I called the morning of, they are now saying 9-10:30 like that was always the time. No, I wrote that down exactly as I was told, but okay. Movers arrived at 9:15 - Dimitry was very courteous and professional, Miguel was nice but did not speak English, so it was just a little hard to communicate with him, but not a big deal. They did not know we were going to Oakland (weird, since it was stated on the invoice), nor did they know we had two pick-up locations. It took 2 hours for them to load stuff from first place - seemed like this could have been faster. They did, however, do a great job packaging some loose things I had, and also wrapping up my furniture, TV, etc. Something to note: they charge a $55 gas fee (not sure why so much, to be honest) and for some reason - they double travel time. Why?? To squeeze more money probably? The fee was communicated over the phone, the double travel time was not. The point where I started to get upset was at pick-up location number 2 - they took 3 hours to pack up stuff there, which was way more organized than place number 1, and also only going literally around the corner. Understand they need to cover themselves and ensure things do not get damaged, but it also seemed like they were dragging this out. I bought them Subway since I figured they were hungry, and my treat! But they did take about 30 mins of a break to eat and it didn't seem like they took that out of the cost. They kept asking us to "grab the small stuff" and we also helped unload and unwrap things once we got to the new location just to save time. Biggest gripe - it's cheaper by the hour if you pay cash. We pulled out 800, assuming it would be enough to cover. At the end of it all, total time spent, plus gas fee, plus travel time was almost 1200 bucks. OVER A THOUSAND dollars?! We should have enlisted friends and family like all moves in the past. Way quicker and not to mention cheaper. And, since we didn't have enough cash, they let us pay part on a credit card - but of course, didn't cut us a break by charging the cash price, because why would they. Like I said, VERY disappointed. This was my first time using movers so maybe I should have done better research and asked better questions, but it definitely seemed like they were trying to take as long as possible to get us to pay more. read more

Max Movers were really the best! I couldn't imagine that this moving experience would be so easy. I didn't have to do anything. They wrapped everything and packed everything in very neatly. They even used buffers so nothing would rub or jump and get damaged in the truck. Amazing experience and professional service by the guys from Max Movers. I am very grateful for the service that they provided me. I couldn't be happier and i highly recommend them for any move in the Fremont area. read more

Danny, Earvin, and their colleague were amazing. This was my first time using any moving service and I'm glad I used them. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and most importantly took great care of our stuff. They moved everything we needed even taking apart some furniture and reassembling them. We also had a huge and heavy bed framework weren't sure would fit up the narrow stairway but they did it. Thank you again ! read more

I hire movers for clients and Max Movers Fremont is the best moving company that I worked with so far. Very courteous movers, they know what to do. It is not only that they were careful and protective with all client's belongings but they also disassembled and reassembled half of their furniture. Even an oversized drawer that weighs 250 pounds was carefully disassembled and taken down the stairs by just two movers. Additionally, they got very fast from Sundale to San Mateo, which I was grateful for because my main fear was that movers are going to be slow. Very efficient. Everything went smooth from the first call to the last box. Thank you Alex and John for helping me out and doing your best! Definitely the only trustworthy movers! read more

To all guys from Max movers I would like to thank you for an awesome work that u did for my move. You guys took care of my belongings like it was yours. Didn't make any damages or scratches. Price were very affordable and very easy to work with. I totally recommend Max movers! read more

Genuinely good companies like these do not come around too often, especially in the service sector of the market. Moving is one of those processes that just never become easier, no matter the tools or equipment that one may have to get the job done. We hired this wonderful company to stop by our house and provide us with a free on site estimation, they were more than happy to as they sent out a team within twenty four hours to perform the inspection. After everything was said and done they informed us that they could begin the move that very same day. We discussed for about twenty or thirty minutes until my dad finally gave them the green light to begin organizing and packing our stuff. Even the guy that was in charge of delivering the truck to the drop off location was really cool to talk to and work with. These guys are definitely some of the best workers we have hired in the recent past, give them a call and see what they can do for you. read more

Definitely did not expect to have such a positive experience with a company that we randomly came across online. However we were fortunate enough to get an opportunity to hire these workers, some of the hardest and most efficient movers we have experienced. This was the first time we gave them a call and we were greeted very politely over the phone, they were able to send a team of movers over the next day. Totally recommend them. read more

These guys were awesome!! Came on time, worked fast despite the heat, and took very good care of my belongings. Price was right and they went above and beyond to help my move go smoother. They even helped me unload two packed cars that came along with the moving truck. I highly recommend this crew! Thanks guys - you made my move so easy! read more

Thanks to Nas, Lei, and Frand, I'm now comfortably moved in to my new townhouse in Fremont. They were careful enough to make sure my things weren't damaged and were thorough enough to make sure we didn't forget anything in their truck. I highly recommend them for your future move. read more

We are very pleased with our experience with this moving company. They arrived on time, took very good care of our furniture, and made moving A breeze. They came with a huge moving truck, lots of blankets, and dollies. They were very professional and polite. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. read more

I had a great experience with this company Danny and his staff were great. Very friendly and patient with me, I had them move things around all day and probably made them move the same piece of furniture at least 3 times. I am very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. I will definitely be using their service next time I move again. Thank you max movers. read more

Called in to request a quote on moving a pool table an easy and quick job. They rudely denied to move one item even though I would have paid the full rate. I do not recommend this business to anyone. Unprofessional and rude. read more

Great service, no hidden fees. We were very happy with our choice to go with Max Movers Moving. I was a little nervous about my move, since it involved a triangle of some things going to one place, then another. When I called, I was able to get a rough estimate of how long it would take, and they were pretty spot on. They moved fast, didn't waste any time, and nothing was damaged in the process. read more

Finally found moving company that offers completely stress-free moving services. Thank you three times for being so patient and polite to me. I am very picky person but these two movers (Ali and Rayan:) were really nice to me and listened carefully. They were totally fun to talk to and they understood me, which is important. They did nothing wrong and everything was as easy as 12 3! Want to notice that Max Movers Fremont is doing their business without any hidden charges. By the way prices are amazing and they also have good deals sometimes. Of course I recommend these movers to everyone and I will definitely never book any other movers in a future! read more

Max Movers really helped me and my boyfriend move out quickly and efficiently which was good because the landlord was already becoming a nuisance. We didn't have much stuff to move but the few things we had were 2 large TV's, 3 love sofas and one king sized mattress, a washer and dryer that they moved without a scratch. John and Alex moved everything themselves and with two people were talking about furniture that weighed a lot. Thank you MAX MOVERS!!! A+ read more

Max Movers was recommended to me by a close friend. They were not the cheapest quote I received but I'm a firm believer in the saying, "you get what you pay for." I feel like my belongings being transported with diligence and care is worth the extra money. Also, the customer service was outstanding. Communication was fluent and consistent. I would use them again. read more

This was my first time ever using a moving service, I have to say it made my life incredibly easy! Max Movers took all the stress away from moving. Great communication at all times. They worked incredibly fast and were fragile with all of my belongings. As for the movers, they were very professional and would ask me politely in regards of leaving my stuff. At first, I was scared on how they would handle my stuff, yet no damages had occurred. This moving service has convinced me that this is the way to go when it comes to moving. I will 100% use this service again. Thank You! read more

Was advised by my friend that these movers are reliable and can be trusted. And lucky me Max Movers Fremont is the best of the best moving companies for me from now on. The first good impression was when I called customer service and they couldn't be any more helpful! The girl on the phone was very polite and I could see that she is experienced and knows how to help clients solve their problems. So, I booked only two movers since I have one bedroom apt and not that much furniture. However, I got very heavy dining table that requires some special care. And also I was concerned about the long drive from Emerald Hills to Union City. But good for me movers were quick and they valued my time. My dinning table was also taken care of, they wrapped it in blankets and were very protective. Thank you for being so attentive and polite. Will definitely use their services in a future. read more

I really liked their service. Isaac, Alex and Danielle were extremely polite and professional. They were efficient packing and unpacking, did not take any extra time and did not damage any furniture. Highly recommended. read more

Wow. This is my third time moving and I have never been so pleased and impressed by a moving company before. The two previous times I had careless men from a different company who broke and damaged my VERY expensive TV that had to be replaced. This company was so professional and respected all of my items. First time I didn't have a dent or scratch on my floors or furniture. I move quite frequently because of my job, and I will ALWAYS use this company, and I highly recommend it! read more

Beware of this Company. we are in this Bay area for almost 15 years and we did move multiple times. This is the worst experience, we ever had. If you want some random inexperienced guys do your moving, threaten you, does not move all your stuff by getting a small trailer instead of a moving truck and makes you move remaining stuff by yourself by spending another day, this is the right moving company for you.Below are the details and if you have any questions feel free to send me a message. (1) Random people showed up: Instead of employees/associates from Max movers, third party independent random contractors came for the move. Big NO for us. (2) Threatening us a): As we are not happy with the move, we told them to talk to the Max movers manager/personal. During this time, one of the mover threatened us saying he is calling/called cops. Big NO for us. (3) Threatening us b): While we are talking to the Max mover representative, same mover is walking in our house and accusing me and my wife by asking us, why we hired movers, when we are not able to afford. For these guys there is no concept of customer and their experience. Think of some random guys walking in your house and threaten you. Big NO for us. (4) Non Local movers:My understanding is that these movers are not local to Bay Area. They mainly does moving in Los Angeles and when there are some request in Bay Area, they come to bay area with their standard trailer with some stuff in it and NOT with a moving truck. (5) Inexperienced and not fit for move: We do not have much stuff. in Kicthen we have only 3 boxes and they are not heavy. You can imagine how much stuff we already sold or moved before the move. So our stuff is around 35 boxes (only around 10, I can not carry myself) + 1 small sofa + 1 Mattress with spring box + 1 office desk little larger than small office desk + wardrobe. Literally they took 3 and 1/2 hours to load our stuff to the truck with 3 guys.It took around 30 minutes to just to load my mattress. Also they are complaining the bed is heavy. This is the normal firm mattress bought in Mattress discounters. You can imagine how slow and inexperienced these guys are. To let them know, the things are going very slow, I did move around 22 boxes out of total 35 boxes from upstairs to down stairs front door in 15 minutes. Still they did not get the message. (6) We have to move 1/4 of our stuff: They brought a trailer with some stuff in it and not a moving truck. we already sent the pictures of our stuff too. we did spend one day on our own to move the remaining stuff in my SUV. As few of the items, I can not carry myself, I need to unpack them and need to put them in multiple small boxes. (7) Price is same as other big companies: As this is weekend move, rate is $149.99 per hour for 3 guys with 3 hours minimum. So it took 5.5 hours to move our partial stuff which also included their rest time. When they are taking rest, they told us that it will not be included. when giving the invoice, they are talking about California law about rest for every 3 hours of work. Even through I have the companies that I used before and other recommendations from my friends, I did go through this company as Yelp reviews are good and minimum number of hours is 3. thinking that they will finish in 3 hours. Instead they charged us for 5.5 hours with out moving all of our stuff. Usually I do not write reviews, but this time I remember my pain still after 3 weeks which prompted me to write this review hoping it helps others. read more

I would recommend going elsewhere for help moving. I ended up with stuff missing. This company sends outside contractors, or at least they did for me. The two guys who showed up worked slowly and one of them was more concerned with the music he was playing than the move. He wasted a good amount of time dealing with his phone battery and which song to play next. They asked if they could take a break and that was fine as long as I didn't have to pay for that time. When they finished, they had worked 4 hours total and the guy tells me it was 5.5 hours and double time for travel! That was not disclosed so they waived the double time charge (I already paid for gas). The 5.5 calculation shocked me and I went over the math to show it was 4 hours and max an extra 15 minutes. We actually negotiated and ended up at 4.5... negotiated!! Facts and math don't matter to them. I agreed and paid just to be done with it. I think they have a motive to work a minimum number of hours to maximize profits and that's why he said 5.5 hours like it was an arbitrary number. They do not intend to get anything done quickly, like within the min 3 hour required to book them. The WORST part is that the box/bag I put my phone charger in went missing along with whatever else was in there and my Bluetooth speaker. Terrible experience. I give them 2 stars because they did get my stuff from one place to another. I suggest this company be a little more vigilant about the contractors they hire to do the job because it's a reflection on Max Movers! read more
