this is very much like a chinese bakery with a hawaiian twist (think sheng kee for you bay area folks). came late so there wasn't much selection. what i tried: - coconut bread: small loaf was $5.49! super overpriced. my family loved it for breakfast but i wasn't in to the taste. - ube bread: this was a thin slice of sweet bread with a strange, chewy texture. needed something crunchy like mac nuts. - multigrain loaf: perfectly made, but on the small side. interestingly enough it was the same price as the coconut loaf. read more

The bakery was closed on the first day we wanted to get breakfast. The Friday morning we were in there at 8am! Loved the onion bread- so flavorful. We ate it by itself without any butter or anything. The banana walnut bread and the Hawaiian bread were delicious too. The pretzel croissant was unique. The flavors of a pretzel but the softness of a croissant. This is a nice little bakery with a good selection of quick breads, cookies, and bread. We got the POG quick bread, which was very good, although not the wonder that other reviews made it sound like. We went back the next day for a loaf of sliced white bread and a peanut butter cookie. The white bread is basically an egg bread like challah, very soft and delicious, makes great toast. The cookie was good, nice and tender and enormous. We liked everything and will probably be back for another loaf of bread--we already managed to eat the entirety of the first one! read more

This little spot is hands down THE place to go for gluten free banana bread, cookies, and rolls! I have several food allergies and this was the only spot I could find that carried local favs that I could enjoy. We drove an hour from our condo to stop here. Also the bread is incredible. We stopped here after seeing the absurdly long line at Kihei Coffee. The bread and pastries looked fresh and tasty is the pictures. It did not disappoint! Loved the pork bun and the bacon egg & cheese bun. The sweet potato and POG breads were amazing as well. There is a large selection of breads, pastries and filled buns. The people are friendly and service is quick, which meant more time on the beach or in the water. Love this newer place, will definitely be back! read more

It's our last day on Maui and my Husband and I were supposed to be getting lunch today, but he wanted somethings sweet ! We stopped by, he got a brownie and I got passion cream puffs !! Omg they were both so delicious! Great quality and texture , everything was fresh! If you don't know what you have a taste for, they will let you sample whatever catches your eye! We had a few different items here and most were pretty good. The pineapple bread was my favorite. But overall, the place felt pretty expensive. I went to Maui Bread a few times this summer and was never disappointed. Their POG and pineapple poppyseed bread were so delicious. They also have amazing breakfast buns with eggs and meat instead. I'm not a huge coffee fan, but after sampling their coconut iced coffee, I had to get one. I haven't been in a few months, but I literally just woke up and had a dream that I was in Hawaii walking to get breakfast at this place! Came here with the help of Yelp and gotta say it did not fail! Took home banana bread, passion/guava/orange bread and Mac Nut cookie. All for less than $14 bucks. Everything was delicious from this place. They have a very large selection of pastries with a mixture of usuals and some of the local flavors. Overall I tried about 4-5 different pastries which were all very good. Also they have a large selection of homemade juices and some coconut coffee which was good but it did have some thick consistency . It's a NO MISS PLACE IF IN MAUI! read more

The cookies and mochi all delicious! Tried every flavor they offered last week of mochi- Lilikoi and lemon, Ube, peanut butter and choc chip. The coconut and pineapple muffin was a perfect breakfast the next day- the crust was still crunchy and flaky. :) Went 3 times during my week long trip and never got to try the sweet buns, always sold out- hence the 4 stars. If your going to stay open until 7pm make enough to last until 2pm. Otherwise this is a 5 star bakery hands down. read more
