Went in for a gel manicure. She didn't cut my cuticles or give a hand massage none of which I minded until they all started peeling off the same day. Horrible customer service from the owner. My gel nail polish had lifted on a couple of my thumbs just 3 days after they were done. It's was promptly fixed in which I was very appreciative. However, the next day the polish had lifted off five more of my nails after I took a shower. I was very disappointed because I have had gel nails done plenty of times and even once before here by another nail tech with no problems, in fact it was phenomenal. My daughter called on my behalf because I was at work and Helen was argumentative on the phone with her about it and told me to just come in. I went in and She looks at the nails, rips off the remaining polish without soaking them, even the two thumbs she repaired yesterday which did not come off easy and ripped one of my cuticles and a layer of nail, which hurt. She said sorry and then said want no problems and handed me a $20 and said I have many years of experience and never had this problem it must be my nail and skin. I would have gladly gone to another tech but I think her pride was hurt by the way she treated me. The customer is not always right here. read more

I went there and had my nails done by Max for months. He was great as my nails did not break or chip for weeks. After he left, I went back a few times but my nails were not the same quality job with breakage in days following. Other salons have not met his standard either. I gone to this salon twice so far, and I have to say the Asian lady's that work there are the sweetest. I am always greeted as soon as I walk in. Even if there is a wait I am still acknowledge and they keep me updated of my wait. I like how my pedicure comes out. However, I wish they had a bit more of color selection. The prices are reasonable ,for a mani/ padi comes out to 32 dollars. Also the place is clean! So far i will be going back! Bad eyebrow and upper lip job! I entered the room and a guy was sleeping on the wax table..GROSS! The towels were slept on and they didn't refresh them! That's un- sanitary! There is no lighting in there to see the final job as she hands me the dirty speared up mirror and says " Look Good, Look good? How the hell do I know... I look when I got home in my mirror and holy shit! I was pissed...she missed so much! Have gone to Matrix Nails several times for gel manicures and have had pretty good results with some of the employees. However, whenever my daughters or I get Loi, it's not a good experience. He pays more attention to his cell phone than the client, he doesn't have you wash your hands to remove the dust and debride before he starts painting and the inside of his gel drying machines are very dirty and grimy. I unfortunately had him two days ago and you can see the specks of dust through the gel and the gel is already peeling off. Will try another salon next time. read more

The salon wasn't as nice or "updated" as I would have liked, but it was clean and the staff was nice for the most part. I could barely understand the tech that did my nails so there wasn't much conversing between us, which I did not like. Very fair price for pink and white full set ($35). The tech that did my nails put the white acrylic on first and left a few a little too long making my nail beds look really short. They didn't have very many selections for color/glitter acrylic, which is what I really wanted. Overall I am happy with my nails, they look pretty good. Very happy with gel manicure. I went to Matrix after having a horrible experience at a different salon the day before. I was greeted and quickly seated. Toi, a young very friendly and professional guy, did my manicure and did a fabulous job. I was told that he is only there when school is out, so when he's not there I'll ask for Helen. They were very busy but tended to everyone quickly. It appeared that many of the patrons were regulars and that's a good sign. I will return and tell my friends about them. Reasonably priced as well. I came in to get my gel nails removed that I got done at the place I regularly go to but this place was on my way home so I dropped in, I also asked for a manicure. First of all, this place is SO dirty and the bathroom was disgusting. The guy that did my nails was Tony. He didn't even acknowledge me when I sat down but just took my hands and started filing away. They do not have individualized sanitized tools like other salons do and the ones he pulled out of a dirty box did not look like they have been sterilized. I asked him if they have sterilized ones in a packet and he said no and just grabbed my hand and started using those tools on me. I should have just walked out then but he kept working on my nails and cut me a couple times. I would stay away from this place at all costs. read more

The only reason I gave Matrix Nails one star is because there was no option to give zero stars. My daughter was getting her nails done for the first time ever as her 15th birthday present from her grandmother. As soon as she walked in, the rudeness began. "Sit down!" barked the man behind the counter. The woman who was applying the acrylics made them a little long. When asked to trim them down, the woman seemed annoyed and rushed. There was no one else in the salon. When my daughter asked for more rounded nails, the woman said no. "All teenagers wear them square, so you get square." When asked to pick a design, my daughter didn't make a decision quickly, and the woman scolded her, "The reason your nails aren't looking good is because you can't make a decision." That was it. We paid $25 for crappy nails, crappy service, and a stomach ache inducing visit. read more
