My wife and daughter wanted to get their eyebrows done and get pedicures. I decided to tag along and enjoy a pedicure myself. There was very little wait before we were all seated. I always feel bad when I get a pedicure because I tend to walk around barefoot everywhere and have calloused feet. In those ten years I have moved around jacksonville 3 times and of course have had to try other nail salons just for the sake of travel. But I always go back to nail avenue. everyone There is so friendly And kind. the services you receive are top quality. I never leave unhappy. I'm not picky when it comes to which artist there will be doing my nails because they're all great. But I absolutely love Rose. she just gave me a gel mani and pedi last night and my nails came out so beautiful. I never can complain when she does my nails she perfects them. & she is a very personable person. we can talk about family and catch each other up on that. its an experience at nail avenue. I cannot believe I have not written a review yet. Nail Avenue has become my favorite place for a pedicure. I found them while I was living in Orange Park and now that I have moved out of Orange Park, I will continue to drive down to go here. They have the best pedicures at fair prices. They have multiple selections for pedicures so you can get exactly what you want. They have a great selection of polishes so you can find whatever color you desire. I have never had my nails done here so I cannot speak to that however, the staff is always very friendly. The salon is always very neat and tidy and the massage chairs are wonderful. I will continue to come back again and again, because they really are one of the best I have been to. There can be a wait sometimes, so it is good to make an appointment or a call and ask when may be a good time because there could be several people waiting at a single time. read more

I'm trying to find a nail salon close to my job so I can get my nails done on my lunch break or after work I don't think I will be going back to this one again. So I asked for an acrylic fill and they were already a rounded almond shape I just asked for the shape to be touched up the color I wanted which was a glittery silver. I couldn't decide if I wanted white or silver glitter she said I can do both I said fine that works. She does the fill then starts to paint all of my nails white so I asked her I thought you were doing some nails glitter and some nails white maybe I miss understood instead she said no the glitter is clear so I will paint your nails white first and then put the glitter on top which was fine I don't mind doing something a little different or something the nail techs recommend but she just didn't began with explaining to me she was painting my nails white then putting this silver glitter over it. I didn't know because she didn't explain this to me until she was putting it on my nails. The price for fill ins on the board was $20 but then she told me my nails are $44 twice as much as the fill and she actually told me this when she had already filled my nails and was almost done painting them so since the services are already rendered there's nothing really I can do to change my mind or argue with it which I don't feel is fair to the customer you should be upfront first and if there's any extra charges then let them know before you get started or after the fill say OK for these things it's going to be whatever amount of dollars but that did not happen here. I wasn't quite sure what the breakdown was but I didn't want to be rude and ask her even if she charge me for gel that's quite a significant bit so I don't know if she charged me extra for the powder oh yeah that's another thing I thought I was just getting glitter polish because on the color stick it just looks like silver glitter polish which I've gotten several times before but she painted my nails white and then open this tiny little container of loose silver glitter that she brushed on with a brush then put a clearcoat over it and I did not know it was a color and once again she didn't explain any of this to me she just did it and then I noticed there was a picture of the nail shapes. So, be careful when you pick your shape because certain ones are $5 more just for them to shape your nails in a particular shape. I was trying to hurry up and get my nails done before work but then after I noticed the edges completely and uneven in the picture it looks like my cuticle is dry that's actually still excess acrylic I've been peeling off the past couple days around the edges and I had to go around the edge of myself with a file to smooth it out so it doesn't look terrible and also it kept getting caught on my hair and fabric until I smoothed out the edges still kind of up close looks like drugstore press on nails. So, take a look and try it out if you like but I feel like I'm gonna pass on this place next time. read more

I honestly like my nails a lot. Was hesitant to try a new nail salon because I feel like the nail techs are always stubborn and don't actually give you what you ask for. I got Rose and she was nice and polite. I was assisted as soon as I walked through the door. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because rose had to remove my previous set which was outgrown. I asked if she could soak them because I knew it would hurt to just peel them off. She refused saying it would take too long even though I told her I had the time. The pinkies really hurt removing them that way but I was fine on most other fingers and it turned out to be worth it. I also got a pedicure. I paid 100, getting gel on both. Which I was kinda bummed about, seeing as how that's how much I paid in Cali. But the end results were so nice, I'd still give it 4 stars. I also paid a little extra for the removal of the previous set which to me was understandable. read more

I called ahead and scheduled the last appointment of the day which was at 6:30. I was on time, but they didn't take me until 6:45. My pedicure and manicure were finished by 7:20. I found this gem during Hurricane Matthew, I was in a house full of guys and needed some space. I drove around Orange park and they were the only ones open on that Saturday. My commute is roughly 45 minutes but it is worth it. Jack and Rose are friendly and kind. I am a big user on Matte too coats and they didn't have it the first time I was in. By the next visit they had already ordered waiting for me to come in. No other nail salon has ever gone out of their way to help me out. Rose also introduced me to SNS. It by far is the most amazing thing I have gotten since Gel first started coming out. It's a Natural polish that uses a powder to dip. They nail polish/powder is thicker but also feels weightless! Jack did my pedi this time. He gave a good much need foot and leg massage. Did good on paint job as well. I did have to go back a couple days later because I still had calluses, however, he took care of it right away. The decor and environment is relaxing and well ventilated. I joined Yelp specifically to review this salon. I wish there were more than 5 stars honestly. This is a new salon, they've only been open for 4 months. All their chairs and equipment is brand new, and the salon ,itself, is very clean and very nicely decorated. I feel the atmosphere is very important to a nice salon experience, so it was very relaxing to be in such a clean environment. I received a "Royal" pedicure, and a gel manicure with Sandy. The pedicure lasted about 45 minutes and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. Included was the sugar and honey scrub, and a hot stone massage. The manicure was what you would expect a normal gel manicure to be. Sandy took the time to make sure my files nails were even, usually I have to point out unevenness, but I didn't have to with her. She also fixed a flaw in my gel polish after the top coat dried with some bumps. Overall, I was very very impressed with the salon and Sandy my tech. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to have a nice, relaxing experience! read more

My 1st visit & I had excellent experience. The lady who did my nail's is named "Rose" & she did great on helping me pick out the color I wanted similar to a photo I showed her on my phone; (nail design/color example.) Rose made sure to perfect my nail shape/design, only thing that I was bummed about is that my Mani didn't include cleaning my cuticles which I was hoping to get but I got my cuticles done for my Pedi which is a PLUS because the other girl that took over for my pedi was still trainee. Maintenance of store is well-cleansed including for restroom. Place still has a grand opening sign so I'm assuming they're new still. Children friendly & lots of seating in the waiting area. This nail salon just opened up less than a year ago and when you walk in there is a reception desk with someone greeting you while they worked on clients nails. We had an appointment at 4:30 and we didn't get in until 4:50-5 since their staff is very small. I ended up getting my first set of acrylics which was 23$ but it was coffin shaped so an additional 5$. She worked very fast with my nails which it turned out pretty okay, but could have been thinner. I had regular nail polish and it is already coming off the tip, which is fine since it's not gel. The staff is super kind and were apologetic about not getting us in on time. Overall the experience was nice and clean for the most part. read more

Visited once, had decent service but my nails that I paid good money for did not last long. Visited again to give it another try and had an even worse experience. I spoke up about a color I did not end up liking and they certainly did not seem to be flexible and willing to prioritize myself as the customer. Instead they made me feel horrible as they spoke in their language to each other right in front of me and gave me attitude. Not only that but again, my nails did not last long and chipped after 3 days. So I went back and again they made me feel horrible for asking them to fix it and it still does not look good. OVER PRICED!!!! My husband and I got a pedi and his pedi started before mine and my technician caught up with my husband technician, and my pedi ended before my husbands did! My feet never got scrubbed!! I also got the dipped nails and my nails are completely uneven and not shaped the same. Some of my nails you can even see through!! I went in last Saturday 10/12 for an appointment with Rose for a powder dip with color on top and clear powder on bottom. Rose argued with me for several minutes telling me I didn't know what I was talking about even though I had worn my nails like this for a year before moving here. She demonstrated that I needed two colors one on top and one on bottom. I finally gave in and from that point she was rude and ruff. I even apologized for arguing and told her how nice they looked but she was still rude. I did refer my daughter there and she saw !Kim this evening. She wanted the same thing but instead Kim cut her cuticle making it bleed and gave her tips to add length and the price was $57.00 when all she wanted was shorter nails dipped in powder. This is completely unacceptable. I was willing to go back to see if it would be better on 2nd time but now I will not give them more of my money. read more
