Came here to get mani and pedi for my best friend's birthday and I will never go anywhere else to get my nails done! So many color options. The gel manicure lasted over a month (I was traveling so couldn't get my nails done on time), the polish did not chip and still looked perfect after a month. They do get really busy so definitely make an appointment before you go. read more

This was my first time getting a mani and pedi in over 5yrs. I searched a lot of places but this is where I was called to. Love that I was able to get seen on the spot, the staff was very friendly and funny .. place is neat and has a nice ambiance but most of all the service was great! Two weeks later and my nails still look flawless! I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about Unique Nail Salon in San Marco. I've never had my cuticles look this clean and healthy -- even after two full weeks (see the pic for proof!). The attention to detail and care they put into their work is unmatched. Sarah is an absolute artist. Julie & Angie too they all do an amazing job! They took such great care of me and my mama and made us feel totally relaxed, and gave me a shape and polish that still looks fresh. My mom said Angie had the most gentle touch with her pedicure and it was lovely. I'm really picky about the shades I get and how I want my hands to look because of my work and she does an incredible job every time! I don't think I can speak highly enough about my experience with Unique Nail Salon! I called them this afternoon to see if they could support a mani pedi walk in appointment. I arrived at 310 pm and was immediately greeted warmly. Then I had my pedi and mani handled by two ladies at once! And their attention to detail, technique, and care was impeccable! I got a full set and gel pedi in just over an hour!! And the work is truly great! I cannot wait to go back. read more

I had been preparing for my graduation trip out to LSU and wanted to get my nails done with more than just simple purple or yellow. Little did I know that the folks at Unique Nail Salon had a Baton Rouge connection as they have family out there. So when I selected yellow and purple polish, they asked why I chose LSU colors. I told them what I was thinking and showed them some designs, and they advised me that gel would be a better bet for what I wanted. Given that it was the Friday before Mother's Day, they were rather busy and I got passed between about 4 different people (3 who worked on the overall mani/pedi and one who did the tiger stripe design for me). This isn't a negative, as the employees were working hard to balance service for all of the customers in the shop. Each person conquered a different part of the mani/pedi and it was all seamless. I appreciate all the techs that worked with me that day, especially given my special request. The added effect of having my nails and toes done added a special touch to my graduation weekend of which I so appreciate! read more

Edit - Dana is no longer there, I'm so disappointed. Dana did a great job with my fill-in and pedicure. I've struggled to find a place/person in Jax whose quality of work is consistent. Great staff! My only complaint is parking in that area of San Marco, I will be back! read more

First time customer visiting from out of state. Went in for a gel mani and regular pedi. My specialist was nice and friendly. Unfortunately within 10 minutes of being there a different specialist approached me and gave me a hard time for wanting to soak the nail polish of my fingers while my pedicure was being done. She had an attitude and told me that I was going to cause problems and it would take way longer that way... I remained calm and told her it would take the same amount of time if not shorter. She again reiterated that they normally don't do that there and I'm going to cause a problem. I went back to my AirPods and tried to not let that ruin my trip in. Most people getting their nails done expect a certain level of tranquility and relaxation. Not to be berated over something I've been doing at nail salons all over the country for the last 10 years. I fished my nails and left within 30 min before they were scheduled to close. Most nail salons have a policy that if something's wrong to come back and they will fix it for free - unfortunately they were now closed and I leave town tomorrow morning. Upon getting back to my hotel I washed my hands and noticed that half of the gel polish from my right thumb was missing. Upon further inspection I noticed several air holes so to speak on several fingers so that even after a days time when I touch my fingernails they are still "sticky and squishy". Also the mail color appears to be more of a dark blue than a black. Doesn't even match the black pedicure I got which is actually black. Due to this I now am in need of another manicure not even an hour later due to atleast 4 of my fingers being unacceptable. Very dissatisfied overall with this experience and would absolutely not recommend. Not sure if the subpar nails are due to the polish they are using, the light for drying or the application process all I know is I have never had an issue with my nails before. I am out $65 for my manicure (plus a generous tip I left my specialist) in addition to 2 Ubers which were collectively around $50. In addition to this being a complete waste of money I am now going to incur additional expenses in trying to go to another nail salon appointment as well as 2 more Uber rides. read more

My aunt and I are new to the area. We came from New York and were looking for a good nail salon to trust with our money. These people were great. We called last minute for a mani-pedi, and they fit us right into their schedule. When we got there, everyone was super welcoming and friendly. We even shared some laughs and jokes. STILL driving 30 minutes to get my nails done every 2-3 weeks. I will never stop telling my friends and even not friends how much I love unique. You cannot beat the prices and the quality. I've been going here for 4 years now and won't stop anytime soon. Today I got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure for a total of $69. I don't plan to go back for another 3 weeks because I know they will continue to last and look good as new! Monique, Jack and Jennifer are my PEEPS. I love going and catching up with them and having them do an amazing job! At Unique, they have an incredible selection of colors for Gel! Like.... you name it they have it! I will say their regular polish selection isn't as great, but I'm all for the gel :) I recommend an appointment early on in the day so that you can get in and out and not have to wait! So let me start by saying I have been going to this salon for over 3 years now. Some of my favorite nail techs have come and gone, but this salon always produces quality. After being gone for a while my first call was to this salon. A girl has got to get her nails done! Sasa, pronounced "sah-sah" (inside joke in the salon) is my girl! She was great to talk to and did a great job on my nails. And I'm picky! If you have any doubt about what nail salon to try or go to you must come here. Literally my favorite place in Jacksonville. I really loved how thorough and delicate Sasai was with me and my nails!! She really took her time and was considerate of everything I said. Would definitely recommend! I only started to feel like she was rushing towards the end when one of the staff members went home sick and the 2pm appointments started showing up. When it comes to getting a nail design, this group is some of the best I have had. They have very talented nail artists who are incredibly patient and don't rush you. I have always got premium treatment here. Also the chairs here are fantastic when you're getting a pedicure! It's hard to find a place with good chairs but they have figured it out! The technology for the massaging feels very good and it has good strength do it for someone who wants more intense massaging. read more

This is hands down the best no chip manicure place I ever set foot into. My nails were perfect and lasted for almost 3.5 weeks which is unheard of because my nails grow so fast. While the grow out was visible, it was hardly noticeable. The only wrinkle during my visit was finding a place to park. Other reviewers didn't highlight the option of parking in a lot behind the building (bank owned) and I didn't think to call to inquire for some odd reason. But I circled during high peak traffic to find a spot after reading reviews that suggested it would be worth the 3-4 minute walk in a busy thoroughfare. While a close parking spot would have sweetened the experience, it was partly my own doing. If you are visiting for the first time, don't do what I did----call to inquire about parking options! Visiting from out of state and had some down time to get my nails done. The nail tech did such a wonderful job. Wish i got her name, but i didn't. However, looking at some of the other techs, they too seemed to be very good. I got old dip (SNS) polish removed, and new dip put on. Since i got a color dip with no design, it was only $40 which is much cheaper than what i'm used to. She did such a clean job, i'm so happy with them! read more

I came into town for work and needed a touch up on my nails. I had previously gotten the SNS Powder Dipping and wanted to get it redone. I came to Unique Nail Salon as a walk in. They told me it would be a little bit of a wait which I didn't mind at all. It was so worth it. GV was amazing and very detailed. She did a better job than any manicurist I had seen before. She asked me if I wanted it thick or thin, square or round, and she examined each nail to ensure perfection. She's sweet as can be and anytime I'm back in this area, I'm coming to see her. I had an appointment for a regular $30 pedicure (+ $5 tip) done after going for a couple years without a professional pedi so I did tell the lady that I needed my cuticles worked on. The ONLY reason for me to get a professional pedicure is to really "clean up" the rough skin and overgrown cuticles. Anybody can remove and apply polish! MY COMPLETE PEDICURE LASTED 19 MINUTES from START to FINISH!! WTH??!! I'm not the type to micro manage any service provider so I silently watched and judged this lack of attention to detail. I will not be wasting any of my hard earned money here anymore. Also, the appointment scheduling is super sketchy, you can make an appointment but when you get there they don't have any lookup to verify and you just sign in along with all the other walk-ins. The ventilation system is also lacking and if you are prone to headaches from strong smells you'll leave with a migraine. read more

My nail tech was so nice but I realized after leaving just how many imperfections my nails have and I highly doubt my gel manicure lasts me the week. The ends are already chipping and several places the polish goes over onto my skin which is going to cause it to start peeling up soon. I should have looked a little closer before leaving I guess. My other experiences here have been so good, so maybe today was just off. Just bummed I spent what I did for this particular visit. read more

This place is fantastic! The woman who scheduled our appointment was so nice and had such great energy - she made me so excited to come in! My mom and I both got pedicures and our techs were INCREDIBLE! They were patient, so talented and detail oriented. Even when my mom accidentally messed up her big toe during drying, her tech immediately came over and fixed it without us asking. Great price too! We got all 3 add-ons (scrub, hot stones, masks) to our pedicure and it's such a deal - do it! I will 100% be back! Thank y'all! read more

3.5 stars. I came…read moreon a Tuesday afternoon around 5 o'clock and was immediately helped. I requested a gel nail removal and a full acrylic set with gel. The nail lady did do a thorough job with shaping my nails and making sure it was what I wanted. However, I do wish she cleaned up my cuticles properly with a cuticle trimmer vs the nail machine that just shreds them away. It left me with a not super clean look. I probably won't return due to the quality of service and environment, but it was good to get my nails done while running errands.

The Jaguar nails were on point.
