I went in for a scheduled appointment today and had the worst experience as a customer that I've ever had anywhere. I was sat down next to a nail tech that was just finishing up on another client. When the receptionist told me she would be right with me, the tech let out a long exasperated sigh. I brushed it off and we began the service. (She did not clean any tools between me and the other client). She was immediately passive aggressive and rude to me, rolled her eyes at everything I said and was rushing through the service. I ended up asking her to just stop and I would leave. Not even 20 minutes into my appointment. Other employees and guests witnessed our interaction and I'm very disappointed no other employee or manager stepped in after hearing the way she was speaking to me. I ended up going to Bamboo Nails and Spa on the other side of town center where the staff was much more friendly, clean and professional. Came in for a last minute set due to an American Sign Language presentation for college. AMAZING! i came in as a walk in at around 6pm and i think my techs name was tim. he was such a perfectionist. asked multiple times if everything was okay, and even though i'm too scared to say no, he fixed anything i had concerns about before i even got to the point to say it. After the nails were almost set i even seen him go back a few times to fix the little things like the edges needing buffing or a little bit more polish. The music was perfect. i will be coming back for all of my sets to come! The day after getting a full set, the middle finger nail just broke off, and the pedicure polish chipped off. I went back in and got them both fixed. Then over the next 6 days the rest of the nails on started to break off one by one. The photo below is of my hand only 7 days after getting them done. I am sitting here after cutting my nails off. I went exactly a week ago. I asked for medium coffin shaped nails with a french tip (blue french). For one, the person had cut my nail bed so badly that they were bleeding and hard to bend my fingers. Next, the coffin shape was dull and rounded looking. Another? Came from a California to try this place. Made an appointment for 6, came at 5:55 and was told to wait 10 min. Ended up waiting 30 and wasn't seen until 6:30pm. Cons: Accidentally mis shaped the thumb nail, but that's a minor detail. Only one person was able to do a design and he was occupied doing another persons nails so I didn't get it. My piggies were in desperate need of a polish change. I've been wanting to try a new place that's more convenient and centralized and Posh Nails & Spa sprung up on my Yelp search, so I decided to give them a go. They're located at the town center, near Texas Roadhouse. I pulled in, walked up and was greeted by one of the nail techs. They asked what I wanted and I mentioned a pedicure. This nail place is a bit different than other nail salons I've been to, as they have you pick from a menu of nail colors, versus picking one from the wall. I liked that, because while I was soaking my feet, I could take my time and decide. The place is brand new with a bunch of pedicure seats. The nail tech gave me a menu of different pedicure options and I chose the basic, which included a hot stone massage, lotion, cuticle and nail trim, etc. and for $26, it was by the far the best deal. I had a seat, turned on my massage chair, and did some work while he worked on my toes. I was a little disappointed that others having a pedicure were offered a drink while they got their nails done. The tech did a good job on my nails. I wish it lasted a little longer, and maybe the service is longer if you get something more than the basic pedicure option. The tech was able to get me in and out of here in 30 - 40 minutes, which is great for those that are on their lunch hour. Just came here for a simple mani/pedi. I waited about 15 minutes without an appointment. They have you sign in once you walk in then you choose your color and just wait a bit. Color options are plenty. It seems one side is all the dips or gels. My simple blue color was just enough. Time was short so I just did the pedicure. One issue with these salons; it seem prices are going up but their polishes are drying up. The lady here had to add acetone to the color we were using. This is happening more and more these days when they should just be getting new polish. I was pleased with the end color choice, not much else. read more

I cannot believe this place !!!!!! I drove 45 mins to get here after a bad experience at a salon closer to my house. Vivian was my nail tech, and my best friend was taken back to the pedicure station to start her services. Y'all. They have REAL AUTOCLAVES. SANITATION 10/10! My best friend said it was the best pedicure she's ever had, paraffin wax, hot stones, THE WORKS! Her skin felt like silk... however EVEN COOLER THAN THAT... Vivian couldn't have done my nails more perfectly... it's UNREAL how pretty they are. I didn't want the big apex, i wanted a really natural almond/coffin shape. I have been coming to Posh for over a year now. In the beginning, the service was really good! I even recommended the salon to others. I was still coming even after a price increase because the location is convenient, and usually, you can be seen very quickly. However, I have left disappointed the last few times. And after my visit today, I will not be returning. I came in today just wanting a gel polish removal on my fingers. I wait for about 20 minutes, which is expected if you go on a Saturday. I finally get moved to a seat. About 5 minutes later, they moved me again. The owner started to work on my removal, but then they had me switch seats with another customer because the man doing her nails could not do what she asked. I was moved three times. It's annoying, but I am not the type to say anything about it. At the end, the older gentleman put my nails in foil and said, "Let it soak for five minutes." This is as far as I get with this man. About 15 minutes passed, and I thought, "Did he go on his break?" Then I looked around and saw him doing a pedicure on another customer. Mind you, I arrived about 30 minutes before this customer. Why would someone stop in the middle of a service? Mainly because it was just a removal, which should not take long. Again, I like to consider myself a very patient person, but after seeing this and still waiting, I finally spoke up to the manager and asked how much longer it would be because I had to leave soon. The manager says, "Don't worry, we'll get it done." Other staff members are walking around, not seeming busy, and I am still sitting there. Finally, someone comes to finish the job. She removed the remaining polish and filed my nails. She asks me to wash my hands, and when I turn around, she's gone. I was like, wow, I guess I'm done now. I was at least expecting a clear coat because my nail beds were looking ROUGH. I go to the counter to pay. When the owner says $15, I'm like, geez, it's pricey coming from the fact that I spent more time waiting than someone working on my fingers. If you decide to come here after reading this review, request a female employee. I have had the most success with the older woman who sits in the second seat closest to the register. I have also had the other two gentlemen sitting at the last seats on both sides. Tim (who I believe is the man on the left) gives poor pedicures and hardly takes the time to massage your feet or legs. He did my manicure once, and it was painful; he cut me multiple times and put acetone over it. Overall, he seems disinterested and like he has better places to be. I am speaking on behalf of my mother, who has had multiple disappointing experiences with the other older gentleman who wears glasses. During a pedicure, he repeatedly coughed on her legs. He was wearing a mask, but it was under his chin. My mom discussed this with the owner; he apologized and said she would not get him again. Another time, she came to get a fill-in, and it was probably the worst she had ever gotten. The acrylic was thick and uneven. As much as we are paying, I hope we get to leave satisfied, but unfortunately, this has not been the case for a while. read more

Okay I don't really do reviews unless I had an excellent experience or an especially bad one and this is just one of those that was bad. But part of that is on me because I am very selective when getting my nails done and I like to make sure the place can deliver what I like. The photos looked good and they have decent reviews. But for what I paid for and what I got, it's just not it. I have paid very similar in price or a bit more and I have gotten a lot more. But because I moved, I need to find a new nail place. This is not it. Not for me. I got the hard gel, the nail tech took about an 30mins (or longer, idk if felt like forever) shaping my nails. I understand you pay for the time and effort. Time and effort was there, quality was not. (I paid $75, for gel you can get off amazon for like $17, NOT worth the price point if the quality is not there) I attached photos, of what I got and what I have gotten done before, hard gel from Amazon and what I asked. The red nails are what I'm used to getting very over the top stuff. But I decided to go simple design (See photo for what I asked versus what I got). I did ask for different blue but the shape is just aweful. I was assured that my nail tech knew how to work with hard gel. I was told he's just soft spoken/quiet and I was like okay, trust the process. I want to preface when I walked in I, I repeatedly asked for hard gel to be placed over my natural nail I didn't want the extensions (I wanted to just add on top of my natural length to strengthen what was already there), but I just said whatever and accepted it because it seemed like every time I tried to explain to someone what I wanted they were like "sure sure". That's on me. But I've had nails done before and like I said I was trying to trust the process because I was told he could do hard gel, he did not cut my cuticles, he buffed my nails but there was no use of a dehydrator/ primer before applying the gel, and applied oil before I washed my hands not after, I always thought it was supposed to be after you wash your hands. I did get my toes done and it was nice, except the fact the water the scolding hot, the place is decently clean. But if you're like me and very particular about your nails just don't bother. Trust your gut or get a reference! Like a personal name don't just walk in. Like I said I saw photos and made the mistake of assuming everyone could do the quality of work I was looking at. Last weekend I treated myself to a pedicure at Posh- my winter feet needed some tlc, and quite frankly it was a long week. I easily scheduled an appt thru Yelp (although as it turns out last Sat at 2:30pm I was the only person getting a pedicure.) Still brand new and sparkling clean. The pedicure seats were very comfy, and I loved all the gel polish options. A week later and my feet & toes still look great. My dislikes: the leg and foot scrub part of the pedicure was way too long and too rough- ouch my shins were burning! I choose a deluxe pedi which I believe was $32 and added gel nail polish. Why are prices always so vague when getting a pedicure? Turns out adding gel was an extra $15. With tip, I can't say this was an over $50 experience. The tv next to me was frozen (which the nail tech did notice but didn't do anything), no beverages or other spa amenities, and the foot bath was only lukewarm. Also when I cashed out I was not told the total before inserting my card. I know Posh is new, they just have some details to iron out. read more

I would like to start by saying I have never gotten my nails done before. I've had a manicure maybe once in my life. I've bitten my nails religiously for as long as I can remember. I was recommended Vivian by a friend of mine and she did not disappoint! I explained I had never gotten my nails done and told her the shape and length I wanted. She got it perfect. She was very sweet and quick to finish without feeling rushed. I'm very very happy with how my nails turned out, both the shape and color. The only downside was the price. $55 is a lot to me, especially for very simple, short nails. Granted, I did get the dip powder (sns) which I believe is a little more expensive. I'm sure other places have cheaper prices but from photos and reviews it doesn't seem like they do as good of a job as this place did. read more

All in all, do not recommend. Experience & customer service was great, but I had called ahead to book and appointment for 2 people at 3:30 and they begin until 4:10. When they began the basic prep they didn't cut and file mine or my friends natural nail but instead did a single blunt cut across and continued the process which was fine. At the end, my total was $80 not including the 10% tip, which I honestly was a little skeptical about considering other places only charged around $60 (without tip) for similar designs. Currently, I am creating this review less than 24 hours since the time I had them done, and my friend and I both have multiple nails already beginning to separate from the base (most likely due to the lack of basic nail prep). Personally a set with a moderately complicated design set at $80 should be able to last at least 2 weeks let alone 24 hours. Very disappointed in the quality of the sets. read more

Recently (6/21) I went to get the same exactly style they did 2.5 weeks prior only to be told by the technician he couldn't do it. To be clear, my nails are all white with four nails that have 6 different colors of dots. I felt like because they were short-staffed (they were asking people after me to come back tomorrow or later) no other solution was offered. I made an appointment at 4:30 for 5:30 and called at 5:15 to move it to 6pm and they were extremely accommodating. I set the appointment for two pedicures, two manicures and a full set. (2 people). I ordered the best pedicure ($75) It lasted about 30 minutes. I asked for a glass of wine and water but the tech did not understand me. This is one of the worst pedicures i've had in a while. The water was too hot at first I asked for it to be colder and then it was ice cold. I asked for it to be warmer and they barely turned it up, so I had a luke warm pedicure. My favorite part of pedicures are the massages, and my tech gave their bare minimum. I was disappointed that I bought a pedicure that is typically 1.5-2 hours at another salon and received 30 minutes of effort I did not receive the manicure i requested, but!!!!! My french full set by Lee was spectacular. He was very accommodating when i asked for my coffin shape to be thinner. I also asked for my eyebrows to be waxed. She did a good job waxing my eyebrows, but I could tell she just finished eating because I had to hold my breath with the overwhelming smell of garlic in my face as she gave me a quick two minute wax. Summary: Lee is an excellent Nail tech. They are very accommodating with appointments. Quality of the pedicure depends on your technician you have and you get the same effort for the basic that you'd get for the most expensive. Don't be afraid to tell them the water and wax is too hot. Request a manicure at least 3 times if you want it. Don't come after 6 if you want quality service. read more
