The last couple of times that I went in there I had appointments and they did my husband and I sat there waiting for 30 minutes and I feel that they care more about rushing you in and out than they do about giving you a full service. Another time they didn't put lotion or anything on my hands or arms And if you just get the regular pedicure, there was not much of a massage The people are very nice and their price is a reasonable so if you just are worried about pricing and getting your nails done, it's probably a great place but I like to have the massage I like to get everything that's supposed to be included read more

Let's balance out some of these negative reviews. Definitely 5-star experience for our first visit! The services here are very affordable, and you definitely get your money's worth. We called for an impromptu appointment right after the salon opened on Sunday morning and the salon happily booked an appointment for 2 pedicures. The salon itself is tucked away in the corner of a quiet plaza in St. Johns-- you'd miss it if you didn't know it was there. Now that you DO, stop in for some pampering. We were really impressed with the distancing and safety precautions here; a deciding factor in choosing Sunny Salon! (Thanks to other reviewers sharing photos of the awesome plexiglass dividers!) The salon itself is spacious and very clean. Another plus? They seat you first, and bring the polish colors TO YOU. Customer service level 100. The pedicures were just as enjoyable. My fiancé had his piggies taken care of by the owner herself, and we shared friendly conversation the whole time. The gentleman who took care of my pedicure was so gentle and kind. AND he spent at least 20 minutes painting my toes to perfection-- seriously, the color I chose was kind of streaky and he meticulously painted 4+ coats with no complaints. Something very strange happened when I started this review. I dropped my phone and somehow music started playing. I managed to Rick roll myself (can't make it up, friends!) But honestly, "Never gonna give you up" describes how I feel about this salon after just one visit with Sam. I have never loved my nails as much as I do right now. I have oddly shaped nails to begin with in that they point up, which often means anything other than regular or gel polish results in overly thick ends that just makes the shape worse. Not today. Sam was meticulous in his application of SNS, ensuring none of the layers were too thick. He also shaped my nails as close to almond as their shorter length will allow. He was gentle and polite and asked several times if I was happy with the shape. After being a bit of a nail nomad, I've found a place and a person I want to return to again and again. I have had several technicians there and each one does a great job! Very personable, asking how my day was and if I have anything planned for the afternoon. They offer beverages and are pretty quick (and thorough) with the gel manicures. I was surprised to see the two negative reviews as this was not my experience at all. I stopped in for the first time two weeks ago and they were very polite, and the owner is super sweet. My nails came out great, and they were taking all the necessary precautions for Covid. I'm going back with my daughter, mom and sister in a few days. I spent like $82 for a fill and gel pedi. I enjoyed my service here and I was able to walk in to get my nails done. I appreciated being seen quickly. My nail tech was thorough and I had two people doing my nails and toes at the same time. The fill lasted a while and so did the pedicure so I have no complaints and I would definitely come again. One thing to be aware of is that they take payment via cash app, I'm not 100% sure that you can use cards so make sure you have cash on deck. read more

These guys were great! Nice Salon unfortunately hidden near Brucci's that I've probably passed tons of times. We called in last minute to have my daughter and I come in for a set of Ombré nails and a spa pedicure. This team was so impressive. They were extremely polite and did a fantastic job going above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the outcome. Unlike many nail salons in the area, they can do all the latest designs and the one owner took so much pride in that, that she said if you see a picture online that you want done we can do it. My first visit, I was not completely satisfied with the end result. My nails were too thick and was not happy with the service. All the staff play what is like musical chairs, they all take turns in doing your nails. However I am a believer in giving a second a chance so I went back to have my nails filled. I didn't think it was possible but it was worse than the first visit. My nails are uneven/ not filed straight. I brought it to their attention, to two different people since I had three different people doing my nails. I left with all 10 fingers with at least one cut and bleeding and not just a small nick. I informed all 3 people what shape I wanted and still didn't get it. I had chips in the paint and brought it to their attention and the fix was just a little dab of paint to cover the chip. I decided to try this place with my nine year old daughter because it's new and they sent me a birthday coupon for 15% off all services. My daughter and I walked into an empty nail salon and requested our services, stating we had a coupon. We were met by two confused faces and even then they asked for my phone with the email and even though the coupon clearly stated Sunny Nail, they had a look of confusion. There was never a smile, or a positive greeting. Throughout the whole nail service, they never smiled or tried to engage in conversation and they never offered a water or anything to drink. Lesson learned... I will stick with Castle Nails. Sunny was more expensive too. NO thanks! Oh, and they would only take the 15% off my daughter's pedicure, not mine. If you're going too offer a birthday coupon for ALL services, that includes all services at the time of the visit! read more

I went by Sunny nail salon yesterday on a whim and was so glad I took a chance and stopped in there! They did the most thorough job of any nail place I've been. They had a humongous selection of colors and even offered to do a design making my nails unique. They told me they could do any design I wanted to bring in from Pinterest or google as well! The salon itself was very clean and safe. I just had time for the manicure, but made an appointment for a pedicure in a couple of days. I can't say enough good stuff about them, very friendly service, great selection, not at all rushed, manicure is PERFECT!!! They are now officially my new nail place. read more
