Had a great experience at HairPeace. Georgia, did a phenomenal job with my hair, which needed coloring and a cut. The salon staff is nice, and friendly. The salon itself is clean, stylish and has a fun vibe which makes it easy to hang out in. Definitely recommend Georgia and HairPeace. read more

This is my favorite salon I've ever been to! It's pricey in the way that salons are, but not overpriced! They expanded into the building next store and both areas are clean, chic, and comfortable! I get my hair colored with Brittany and couldn't be happier with the results! read more

I booked a full highlight online for $146. No additional pricing was discussed during my appointment. After the service was complete, I was charged $311 due to toner, length, keratin additive, and blow dry fees that were never explained beforehand. I would have appreciated clear communication about costs before services were performed. read more

100% felt heard and listened to when I expressed how I wanted my haircut. Their knowledge when it comes to curly cuts is just what I was looking for. She first gave me a blunt cut, washed my hair dried my hair in order to see how short my curls would actually shrink so that we could ensure I had the best cut in length for what I was looking for. They definitely know about curly hair and I will be coming back to see my girl every single time. I recently moved from out of state so finding a place right away that is affordable and they treat your hair like a crown is so important read more

I am beyond pleased with my visit at Hairpeace! Paige was so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful in teaching me about products and styling methods to utilize in my curly hair journey that I am on. I showed her a couple of pictures for inspo, explained that I had attempted to do some layering and trimming on my own, she went to it and did wonders! She was patient and we discussed products that are good for my type of hair and the best way to style my hair to get my desired look, while making it easy for my busy lifestyle. Everyone else was also very personable and pleasant to deal with at this salon. I will definitely be going back to see Paige. read more

I'm so happy I found this place. Did a great haircut for my 7 year old daughter who has curly hair . I will come here from now on. Not bad for $58. Her hairstylist was Emily, she did a wonderful job at comforting my daughter & making her feel at ease. The waiting area was very comfy & cozy. Everyone that worked there was so nice & the receptionist was so sweet & helpful. I will come back for my next hair cut here as well. So happy to finally find a place read more

This will be lengthy, but bear with me. I went in for a consultation with James. Previously in the day, however, I had an appointment at another local salon where I had my final and worst experience ever there. By the time I went to the consultation with James I was feeling dejected. However, my experience with James was the most luxurious, professional, and caring experience I've ever had. He not only validated me without knowing my previous experience, but he informed me, asked how I felt about his ideas, and said he could do what I wanted and fix the previous salons work. He then reworked his schedule and got me in the very next day! At my appointment I watched how the staff were all so supportive and kind to each other and worked together so cohesively. They treat clients with sincere care, providing beverages, conversation, explaining what to expect every step of the way, and most important of all-amazing and incredible hair for a reasonable price. Also, the hair wash sinks are the most comfortable I've ever had my hair washed in, they don't strain your neck at all. I'm not sure I've ever been so happy with an experience. The owner Bruce even came by and combed my hair and chatted while I waited for James to walk a client to the check out desk. And James' associate Anaya was sweet, professional, and did an incredible job with my roots (since James squeezed me in). A salon that truly cares, offers the utmost professional service, fair pricing, and most importantly a wonderful experience. I'm moving to Orlando soon, but I'll be coming back to keep my hair peace with hair peace. read more

This is the place to go if you have curly hair. I've been really nervous to go into a salon and get my haircut, I haven't had the best of luck. Hair Peace literally put my mind at peace. Received a DEVA trim from Hair Peace right after things began to reopen with Covid. I understand the limitations of salons due to this issue but prices should be adjusted accordingly. I paid 100 dollars (without tip!) with no wash, no style, nothing and the hair dresser spent a total of 15 minutes trimming my hair. When he told me I was finished I sat in the chair in disbelief for a moment. I've always received a consultation before my cut but he asked no questions aside from "you just want the dead ends off right?". Overall disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Hair Peace - A few days after my 100 dollar "trim", not pleased - Hair Salons Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

So, this was the first time in my life that I've decided to get a Deva Cut. A Deva Cut is a dry haircut of curly hair in its most natural state. I have naturally curly hair and will go half a decade without getting it cut or trimmed because of previous, traumatic haircuts at subpar, chain salons (think: the cheap haircuts). My hair always looked so bad after the cut that I would be embarrassed being in public for a month or so until it grew back out. This time I decided to try the deva cut because the split ends were getting worse and making my hair thin and uneven. After some research I've decided to chance it and make an appointment the day of at Hair Peace. I took the last appointment of the day (7 pm) and got a call half hour prior if I can come in 30 minutes later. No problem. I was there at 7:30 and my stylist is Tiffany, but she didn't get to me until after 8 pm (which is after hours for them). She apologized a lot and explained a previous customer came in with really long hair, which pushed all her appointments. Even though it was after hours, she did not rush the cut and listened to what I wanted done. She took her time cutting my hair and it looked great, but it was really late to get a shampoo, treatment and style. She asked me if I was willing to come back the next day for that and I had no problem, since I had no plans (I'm lame lol). She blocked off a whole hour the next day for me to come back, and of course I did come back. The shampoo, treatment and style was really relaxing, almost spa like. My hair looked great with shoulder length curls and it looked fuller as the lengths were all even. It was very pricey for a deva cut (88.00 at the time of this review) but well worth it. Hair Peace do have a few stylists who have completed training/certification to do a Deva Cut, and Tiffany did a wonderful job on my hair. I now found the place to get my hair cut when the time comes again. read more

Wow! I have found Hair Heaven! I was so pleased with the staff in getting me in on such short notice. I've read a lot about this salon and the stylists and was so excited to get in. I had a deva cut consultation and cut with James today. I am blown away. I went from almost Rastafarian hair to actually seeing my curls come thru naturally. James educated me on how best to style (minus a ton of steps and product!) and watched my hair dry to see how it laid out. I'm so happy - I can't believe my hair did this much in one appt! I'll be back for color and cuts. Thank you guys! read more

Hair Peace is a the best salon in Jacksonville. I've been a client since 2004 and Scott has been doing my hair since 2007. I'm loyal not just because my hair looks good, but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I've been to other salons where the staff were snobby and difficult to deal with, but I have never once had a problem at Hair Peace. I also go to Jessica for waxing and Molly for lash lifts. read more

Yesterday I wrestled with the website's "Book Online" interface for a good minute attempting to schedule an appointment for the next day. Eventually I was able to choose from a calendar of available times/staff, and I chose Brittany (as I told her, mostly because I could find her on the website and in Yelp! reviews). I must say that I'm glad I chose her because I really enjoyed my time with her at the salon. She had no problem going the direction I wanted, and her execution was impeccable! I've been going to barber shops since I moved to JAX, and sure, it's less money, but I want more than a choice of clipper number! Brittany gave me the look I was after and we had a good time in a cool environment. Peace Out, & Get thee to Brittany! read more

I have curly hair and it took me years to find this salon which has stylists that specialize in it. I leave every time with a wonderful haircut. Very modern casual feel to decor. read more

I am NOT a salon gal but i will never touch my own hair again now that i've visited Hair Peace. Halah is very skilled and provides excellent service and results every time. While I haven't booked with anyone other than Halah yet, all the staff are incredibly sweet and supportive. If you (like me) are weary of getting your hair done, give this salon a chance. Both my visits I overheard the other stylists being incredibly helpful, patient and personable with their clients. The whole experience is luxurious but comes at a modest, reasonable price. Put the scissors DOWNNNNN and get booked asap! read more

The salon is for Snobs. They set their prices and upcharge. For a color, blonde to blonde 310$ GTFAH

My daughter had heavily bleached, long hair with bands of several color blondes and brown through out. Sage took the time to make sure the color was consistent and she went the extra mile to make sure that the color was vibrant and exactly what my daughter was looking for. The vibe was very relaxed and the area is great if you want to catch a bite to eat afterwards. Bottom line: Sage is a professional that will listen to what you want and make it happen! My daughter's hair turned out beautiful! read more

Everything about this place shows that they take pride in themselves as a business but also truly care for you as a client. Jenny is the best of the best! Today was my first time at Hair Peace and OH MY GOSH it was an amazing experience. I got the opportunity to be spoiled by Lauren Allen with a beautiful haircut. Her scalp massage was TO. DIE. FOR. I will definitely be back to see her! P.S their waxologist Jessica-yeah she's something fierce too. read more

There is no other salon to go to in Jax. Or in NE Fla for that matter. Bruce's beautiful, inviting space is truly a unique experience...no drama, all happy faces, all the time. And the talent in this salon is epic. So thankful to have the Hair Peace family as my family. read more

I made an appointment for my husband and I to have our hair done , my husband has short hair and wanted just a cut ,I have highlights and wanted a retouch ...Hannah was the so called hairdresser that is afraid to cut hair in that she barely touched my husbands hair ( he went too sportsclips 3 days later for a proper cut ) his cut was 37.00 !! my hair was colored with a base color which was just ok but even with 40 minutes left on my appointment time ,Hannah told me she needed a complete hour to blow dry my hair !! needless to say , I left with soaking wet hair !!! I didn't see what the true color was until I got home and dried my hair! I left looking worse than when I walked in ! For me the score would be 0 read more

I recently visited Hair Peace as a last minute appointment but after my experience there I am a forever customer. Lety transformed my dull, faded hair into the best hair coloring I've ever had. She did amazing work! The hair color was exactly the same shade as my inspiration pictures which isn't an easy thing to do with the color I was going for! The color was perfect, the cut was nice too, and I left happier than I ever expected. Lety was sweet and patient with getting the perfect color for me. She really informed me on the products she was using and products the salon offers. She may have even inspired me to look into cosmetology school. Lety is amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone whether they have straight hair, curly hair, or anything in-between. One thing I was really surprised with was how comfortable the shampoo station bowl was. Every shampoo station I've ever laid my head in results in my neck hurting. This one felt as if there was a pillow in the bowl. I also really liked the interior design of the salon in general. The mirrors were full bodied and it had great lighting. They also offer so many different services at very affordable prices. read more

Jessica worked her magic on my eyebrows and I'm so in love! I was hesitant to try Microblading/Powder brows because I heard it was painful but I barely felt a thing! She did an amazing job with the shape and the shading-they look so natural but bolder & fuller-exactly what I wanted! I also tried Molly for lash extensions for the first time recently and she did a phenomenal job. I've had extensions with various technicians over the years and she is the best by far. read more

New to Jacksonville and the owner and team at Hair Peace were recommended by my long time stylist in Orlando. When you've been going to the same person for almost 15 years finding a new place is scary. The short version: I'm in love with this salon and everyone here! First they've been super welcoming and patient because I wanted a consultation before booking. They answered all my questions. During the first appointment I decided to let them try to bring my curls to life. My curls have never looked better. In three months I haven't touched a blow dryer and my hair looks fab! read more

Never even got a haircut. For some reason I thought my appointment was at 1, it was 12:45. I was 10 min late, that's my fault. Never got a reminder of any kind from the salon or call during my 10 min lateness or any info on their policy. Was greeted by a female who was rather rude told me I was 15 min late and I wouldn't be seen. I was 10 min late, I've always waited for hairstylists. Never complained. She just kept repeating she had to rebook me; however, she made no attempt to actually rebook me. Which is what you do. It was clear I wasn't getting a haircut, or another appointment. Stylist never even came to explain or try and rebook, James. I'm sure he's a great hairstylist. But I'll never know. Going somewhere else. read more

First impressions: the place is very comfy and cozy, especially during the season. The second I walked I was greeted and felt very welcomed. I trust the waxoligist here, Jessica, with my life. I currently live in Orlando therefore i go out of my way to see her just because her waxing services are so great. As a guy, she knows how to shape my brows to keep looking full without having them too arched. I did the brow and tint combo which ended up being $30 total. I definitely recommend seeing her. Quality staff, welcoming environment and warming ambiance. I know I'll be back soon read more

I have been coming here for years now and I will never leave!!! I found this salon because I followed my wax girl Jessica, when she left her previous employer to work here. I started seeing Jenny after that for my hair cuts and color and honestly it has never looked better! It's way more affordable than when I used to get color in Ponte Vedra beach too. I walk out of there with wax AND hair services and I still dont feel like Im breaking the bank or spending a fortune! Jenny continually gives me confidence to switch up my styles when I'm feeling it, or leaves it alone and just tunes me up. She chopped my hair for the first time, and I'm loving it so much I might even go shorter! I'm always so happy when I leave and it's truly my one stop shop! Love you hair peace!! read more

For 36 years, from the west coast to the east coast and even a few states in between, I have searched fruitlessly for a stylist that knows how to cut naturally curly hair. Yeah, yeah, I know they all say they do, but let's face it, they don't know how to cut curly hair. Not really. Well, today that searched ended with Scott at Hair Peace. I almost cried in my salon chair - I love him!! I loved him, and my haircut so much, I didn't even care how much it cost. I just gladly handed over my credit card. He's that good. Scott is highly trained and certified to cut curly hair through the DevaCurl Institute and us curly-headed girls are very fortunate to have him here in Jacksonville. I knew right away he knew what he was doing because 1. he cut my hair dry, curl by curl, shaping it just so, and 2. he framed my face, taking a few curls up shorter on each side. I can't tell you how many times I've asked a stylist to do this, but they just keep sectioning my hair and slicing straight across, leaving me with a triangle head that I try and fix on my own the next morning, and have no business doing. Scott also gave me some great tips to styling and which products to use and how. He showed me ways to combat my trouble areas, and make them disappear (or at least appear to), such as how to make my fine hair appear thicker, give me lift up top, define my curls better, combat frizz and dryness, etc. He spent a lot of time with me and never seemed rushed or annoyed with my endless questioning. Rarely does a haircut and style end in a hug and profession of eternal loyalty, but this one did. If you have naturally curly hair, suffer no more. Call Scott. He is worth every penny and more. read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. They make you set up an appointment which is normal and after checking in you wait and wait telling your stylist will be with you soon, 30 minutes after still waiting with no update I go to the front desk to then be told I would have to wait another 30 minutes! And that there is nothing they can do, no other stylist that can see you and they're closed on Sundays. I've lived in 4 cities and have been with several salons and stylists, this is the worst service I have ever received. read more

I walked into hair peace after a salon disaster -- my hair was fried to the core from a prior salon. I was in tears when I came in. However, that all changed when James came and talked to me. He went above and beyond to fix my hair, while explaining everything in a way I could follow. I walked into the salon crying and, thanks to James, I left smiling. My hair has a long journey back to being healthy, and I feel confident James can get it there. I could not recommend him higher! He is an absolute delight and incredibly talented with hair. read more

5 stars for the haircut, 2 stars for everything else. My Devacut by Bruce is ALWAYS great. My confidence in him let me take my long curly hair to a short curly bob and I will never go back to long hair. HOWEVER, every time I come in on time for my appointment, I end up waiting 20+ minutes. Every single time (I've gotten about 6 haircuts). I understand running a few minutes late, but right now my appt was at 3:30pm and it's currently 3:55 and I'm still waiting. Our time is valuable, and it is annoying when I spend longer waiting to get in the chair than the time my haircut actually takes. If your customers can be there on time, so can you. And for a deva cut that takes about 20 mins, $80 is pretty steep. I'm moving away from Jax so it's a moot point, but the waiting annoys me enough that I keep looking for somewhere else to go. It's rude. read more
